This is also the biggest pet shop in County Road and one which has a decent variety of well looked after pets, accessories and food. The staff are always friendly and willing to help although at times you need to be patient before you get seen to, as it does get busy on occasions. If you are a lover of pets, this is a great place to come for a browse and be able to obtain tips and advice from knowledgeable staff. Personally, I have been to places that sell a wider variety of fish but if you're after reptiles or spiders for instance, then this is your Aladdin's cave!

They also stock housing for a wide variety of animals in addition to electric fencing and stock fencing. They have a range of incubation kits for eggs as well as all the equipment you need from hatching to adulthood. A fish section is also slowly developing. The equestrian section is extremely comprehensive offering everyhing the modern horse owner and rider could wish for and plenty more. Of particular note is their pink range which includes sparkly riding crops with stars and matching grooming kits. Their range of own brand clothing is extremely durable and very well priced.

They also sell live pets including but not limited to budgies and various fish. They have a small variety of toys, treats, and other items as well including a selection of books on how to care for various small furry animals like mice and hamsters. They cater for most you average pets (cats,dogs,fish,birds,hamster,rats ect). As well as selling food the also sell other animal products such as beds,leads,bowls and animal bedding. The shop itself is very small and they have crammed a lot into it. but the staff are always willing to help you find what you are looking for and they usually have just what you need. Another thing i love about the shop is they let you take you pets in the shop. The gentleman who worked there always let me bring my small dog in and he seemed to have a real interest in him which was great.The prices are extremely cheap and they will do discount if you buy a lot very recommended.

I tend to use Pets At Home mainly to buy tropical fish along with the food, water treatments, etc…read morethat go with them. For convenience I usually go to the Llandudno branch which is much closer to home but given the choice I prefer the Bangor branch. They usually have a larger tropical fish section than Llandudno and the staff there usually appear more knowledgeable. The only problem is that if there are roadworks on the A55, as there often are, then it might not be possible to get home before the fish die.

There is a huge range here from the cheap stuff that I won't give our cats, right up to Applaws and Hilife which have really high meat contents. I am always tempted by the range of scratching posts, beds and toys for cats but ours have more stuff than they are ever going to need. There is of course loads of products for dogs, fish, rabbits, hamsters etc. We also get wild bird and hedgehog food at Pets At Home.
