This is also the biggest pet shop in County Road and one which has a decent variety of well looked after pets, accessories and food. The staff are always friendly and willing to help although at times you need to be patient before you get seen to, as it does get busy on occasions. If you are a lover of pets, this is a great place to come for a browse and be able to obtain tips and advice from knowledgeable staff. Personally, I have been to places that sell a wider variety of fish but if you're after reptiles or spiders for instance, then this is your Aladdin's cave!

They also sell live pets including but not limited to budgies and various fish. They have a small variety of toys, treats, and other items as well including a selection of books on how to care for various small furry animals like mice and hamsters. They also sell many different pet care products. If you are after specific animals in most cases you can get them ordered in for you, sometimes this requires a small deposit. All in all i personally think that this is one of, if not the best pet shop in Bootle/ Liverpool.

clearly didn't want to serve us. we visited the Wallasey…read morebranch of Pets at Home with my 6 year old Daughter, after picking some fish we asked to be served but a young man with long dark hair refused to sell me us some tetra fish because i couldn't remember what literage my tank was!!...i pointed to a big tank in the shop and said its bigger than that...i did say i think its a juwel vision 120 (so 120litre) and that we have had it years so cant remember the make and literage. but he still kept on with " if you don't know how many liters your tank is i cant sell you any fish"....after getting home its actually a Juwel Vision 180 so 180 liters...its a BIG tank, wont be coming back ever. i left with a crying 6 year old girl.. well done Grinch! and happy Christmas, I'll go to Maidenhead aquatics in Carr Farm tomorrow instead.

Though the shop is small in size, they offer an adequate choice of common pets and accessories to keep you well equipped for your pet(s) welfare. I once bought some dog food for a friend of mine here and the price was cheaper than most other pet shops and stores I had compared with. In terms of the quality of dog food, I wouldn't say it's exactly Pedigree Chump but you can certainly find food that contains similar ingredients. The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to assist. Whilst you will find nothing special at this shop, it still operates well as a 'no frills' pet shop which is popular with many locals.

They do however have lots of fish on sale in the back of the shop, which few people are actually aware of. We have bought quite a few goldfish from this store and while some have died unusually quickly, others have lasted to a good age, our current is two years old and is really healthy. I think the fish have been temperamental more than weak so I wouldn't blame bad stock on Pets Aloud. There's a really dense stock of dog food and toys I notice and great aviary supplies, my family would shop here for our canary's requirements until he flew to heaven. A very good store in all, and the shopkeeper's lovely. I didn't give five stars because they don't keep fluffy animals instore for me to pine over.
