Though the shop is small in size, they offer an adequate choice of common pets and accessories to keep you well equipped for your pet(s) welfare. I once bought some dog food for a friend of mine here and the price was cheaper than most other pet shops and stores I had compared with. In terms of the quality of dog food, I wouldn't say it's exactly Pedigree Chump but you can certainly find food that contains similar ingredients. The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to assist. Whilst you will find nothing special at this shop, it still operates well as a 'no frills' pet shop which is popular with many locals.

They also sell many different pet care products. If you are after specific animals in most cases you can get them ordered in for you, sometimes this requires a small deposit. All in all i personally think that this is one of, if not the best pet shop in Bootle/ Liverpool.

Our second dog, a Bichon Frise, was shaved right down to the skin- 'because he was tatty'- even down to his tail which looked completely ridiculous. He hasn't been the same since and has been traumatized since we got him home. He does not want to play, go for walks or even eat/drink properly- his character has completely changed overnight and is now obsessively licking and biting his paws- so much so that he is now wearing an Elizabethan collar and I am considering taking him to a vet to see if he needs medication as he is a completely different dog since going to this place. There was absolutely no need to shave this type of dog this close to the skin- no consultation was offered over this, as we would have told them absolutely not to do this as he has never been cut that short- and now we are paying the price and trying to rehabilitate him back to his old self. Really, really unhappy.

They cater for most you average pets (cats,dogs,fish,birds,hamster,rats ect). As well as selling food the also sell other animal products such as beds,leads,bowls and animal bedding. The shop itself is very small and they have crammed a lot into it. but the staff are always willing to help you find what you are looking for and they usually have just what you need. Another thing i love about the shop is they let you take you pets in the shop. The gentleman who worked there always let me bring my small dog in and he seemed to have a real interest in him which was great.The prices are extremely cheap and they will do discount if you buy a lot very recommended.

They also stock housing for a wide variety of animals in addition to electric fencing and stock fencing. They have a range of incubation kits for eggs as well as all the equipment you need from hatching to adulthood. A fish section is also slowly developing. The equestrian section is extremely comprehensive offering everyhing the modern horse owner and rider could wish for and plenty more. Of particular note is their pink range which includes sparkly riding crops with stars and matching grooming kits. Their range of own brand clothing is extremely durable and very well priced.

They gave me lots of advice and have been very helpful before and after my purchase. They have many other species such as Geckos, scorpions, spiders, tortoise and their snakes are unreal! The Super dwarf Boa in particular was fantastic. A good part of the experience was that I was able to interact with the Chameleon (now called Carlos) and with the snakes. As an enthusiast I found this a really nice touch as you get a feel for the temperament of the animal. Overall, I can't rate this place highly enough since the new owners have taken over. If you want an exotic species, this is the place to go!

They even came and set up my vivarium for me. I recently bought a bigger one as my lizard has grown a lot, and even then they set up the viv for me and helped me transport it to my car.
