Now I have worked in retail since age 15 & I was always told to never stand with your backs to the customers when you are not busy. I had to wait several minutes to be served. I got a medium size coffee & a muffin for under $10. The Sundried Tomato, Feta & Olive muffin was beautiful, I asked for it extra hot & it came with a single serve size Light Philadelphia Cream Cheese. My coffee on the other hand was not so nice as it was only warm & tasted quite bitter, they must not have had their grind right. While this was a sit down Muffin Break I found it quite odd that they don't have table service. All in all it wasn't too bad.

The tired old place got a facelift but no legacy treasure was lost; the average bread made way for a great range of breads, pastries, cakes and hot savouries. The pies are really good - especially the steak and tomato, which my firend has regularly when he needs to eat lunch on the run. Best of all for those allergic to bakeries, these dudes make a really goood range of gluten free breads and cakes. They keep some range on the shop floor, or you can order ahead. Gluten free seedy loaves start at about $5.00.

The Ormiston Bakery has heaps for under $5 like breads, buns, coffee and even fruit salad. So far, I have not bought anything that hasn't been fresh and tasty. I really like their white bread plus every time I go, they is always a lot of temping looking chocolate slices and baked sweets that try to sway me and usually do if it is in the afternoon.
