He pulled out a tape measure, appeared to measure the air, and confidently declared installation impossible -- before telling me to go buy something else and leaving. The dishwasher has since been installed perfectly by someone willing to actually try. Took him about 10 minutes and a push. I'll be adding photos, since reality seems to disagree with his expert assessment. Extra credit for the condescending attitude. I assume he still got paid for showing up and not completing the work, which explains the impressive speed. If you want someone who specializes in saying "can't be done" and heading out early, this is your guy. read more

Mikes attitude and condescending personality is unbearable. He decided before showing up that he would not take the broken dishwasher after replacing it with a new one from Costco. As is required by Costco. Because it had a dead bug on it. He obviously didn't want this job and it showed , starting from the first phone contact. I felt sorry for the other two workers with him as it must have been embarrassing to have such an A-hole boss. Dont bother doing business with this company. You will be disappointed. Mac and his crew arrived on time, immediately got to work installing the dishwasher from Costco. They hauled off the old one, installed the new one. Mac explained how the dishwasher worked. They were done within 45 minutes and when they left, there was no sign that they had been here. Total clean up! It has been a month since MAC was here to install our new dishwasher, but because we were still under remodeling construction we never had an opportunity to try it out until out kitchen plumbing was finally connected. As life would have it, the first time we tried the dishwasher we were getting an error message (no water). I made sure the water to the unit was turned on (yes) and after several tries, called MAC and left a message on a Saturday, not expecting to get a call back until Monday morning. But Mike (Operator/Owner) called me Sunday morning and walked me through on the phone to try a few things and we discovered that the water line had a kink somewhere along the route, which turned out to be the issue. Mike showed up at my house having already decided he didn't want to do the work. He pulled out a tape measure, measured the opening for my dishwasher and said "Dishwasher won't fit!" I don't claim to be a professional dishwasher installer, but in my life I worked several years as both a handyman professional plumber. I have installed a number of dishwashers. When my landlord showed up, he was as condescending as I've ever known a human being to be to another. When I opened the packaging and measured it, (showing that it would fit) and called him on his inability to correctly read a tape measure, Mike threw a fit and slammed my tape measure on top of the dishwasher and walked out. If the man doesn't know how to read a tape measure, perhaps they have some remedial classes available. In any case, the amazing guys who installed the cabinets were in the house within 10 minutes of Mike storming off crying. The cabinet guy nudged the cabinet with his knee and regained the missing quarter-inch without using a single tool, and in less time that it took mike to measure the opening. (Which is not a lot of time.) It was clear Mike had no interest in completing the installation from the moment he walked in the house. Maybe it was too close to lunch time, maybe he gets paid by Costco for each time he has to come out to the house (putting a financial interest on finding literally ANY reason to not do the work.) I don't know the reason, I can only speculate. In any case, as he was walking away crying, he said "Good luck getting someone to install it, I'll never come back." I called MAC installations to have my GE Gas Dryer converted to LP. Mike asked for the serial and model so he can RESEARCH the product. Who does this? This really threw me for a loop. Instead of saying yes I can do it and charge me for a half ass job. This guy wants to research and make sure he does it right. At first I didn't think he wanted to do it. Mike calls me back and asked if I had the conversion kit and that he can be out this week. Mike and his team came in to my house laid down some blankets and did his magic and viola my dryers is converted to LP. Wait that's not all. I mentioned to Mike that my stove was leaving soot on my pots and pans. He asked, was this converted? Well, I guess the builder had someone put it in for us. He turned on the stove and knew what was wrong! The daggone stove had not been converted as we assumed it was. To make a long story short, I made another appointment for Mac installation to come back out to convert my range. Mike went above and beyond for us and he will do the same for you!
