I wanted to get my make up done for my bday and made an appointment here. You get your make up free as long as you spend $60 or more in make up which isn't too hard for me since I love make up :) I arrived early and waited while it was turn, as I was waiting I did notice another girl getting her make up done by Haley and wow she looked amazing. If you can get Haley to do your make up go for it because she did a great job on that girl. Finally it was my turn and my make up artist started, she did a great job and made me look great for my special day. She was new at MAC so wasn't too knowledgeable with the products which sucked because I would had like more advice on which MAC products would be good for my type of skin color but she did a great job with my make up. I checked out this MAC counter last Thursday, I am a newbie on wearing makeup. So I wanted to buy a couple items and learn how to use them. I noticed there was a new collection that I wanted to try it. I must of arrived at a busy time, there was only one girl trying to assist 5 people ahead of me. She asked if I needed any help while helping others I said yes! I needed assistance and she was beyond helpful and informative. She told me to take a seat to give her a minute and she would assist me. Long story short she was awesome!!!! She gave me a natural look just what I wanted and only took 5 minutes something I could so do on a daily bases!!! She applied all the products I wanted to try and explained what was best for me and what i was trying to achieve i loved her!!! I've been to this MAC a few times, the last time I went I needed a creamy eyeliner. No one greets you. There was a woman there with a short haircut & I think she wears glasses. She had an angry scowl look. She had an attitude for whatever reason. If you don't want to work with customers then get out the business. The other girl there, she was a short woman that eventually helped me out. The time before last, there was a tall woman that helped me out tremendously with finding foundation. WOW! This was by far the best experience I've had at a MAC counter. I have to admit the staff is intimidating because they are all so perfectly made up. Once I approached the counter I was greeted by pretty much every associate at some point (seriously). I'm still shocked by how great the service was and how helpful everyone is at this location. I was not able to spend a whole lot but I hope this review makes up for it. If you are looking for helpful makeup artists... yes talented ones, then I would recommend you visit these folks. I already knew what I was going to get , so I went to get it I was walking around the store. Just returned to work from a wonderful visit to this location. It was wonderful because I was helped by a marvelous lady named Yvette, who gave me the best customer service I have ever had. Considering I am very new to MAC, I had a little confusion with one of the products I had bought, and Yvette was so incredibly kind and helpful. A trip I was expecting to take half an hour or so because of my confusion and expecting mediocre service at opening time, took less than 10 minutes! Yvette resolved the issue and got me exactly what I needed with nothing but a kind attitude. Me and 2 of my girlfriends went in this past Sunday for their make up appointments. I wanted to get my make up done but had a bad experience the day before at another MAC location...the day I was in a wedding. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't want to pay for a mediocre outcome again. When we arrived we were greeted by Jorge and he was already prepped to do my first friends make up! We thought someone else was going to come out and help but we soon realized he was working alone! He started my friends face and still made sure to greet every customer, answer questions and periodically ring up customers. We didn't mind because he was alone. Now let's talk about how he beat her face! Her make up looked amazing so immediately I wanted mine done but it was impossible with him being the only artist, my other friend who was next and our time constraints. Jorge was awesome, his colors were spot on, his knowledge was great and his over all demeanor even though he was faced with having to multitask to the max! I can't wait to go again and have him do my make up and work with colors and tones that best fit my skin tone! Thanks Jorge, we will be back! Horrible! I made an appointment for a full face makeup two weeks in advance and was told by the lady that made my appointment that it would be my whole face!!! My appointment was at 1 but I showed up at 12:30. I checked in with one of the ladies and she told me that that day they were only doing "demos". They told me they can do my eye makeup if I wanted but nothing else. Are you kidding me!!!! My graduation was in 3 hours! I don't know how to do my makeup and that's why I wanted an "expert" to do my makeup. My entire face! I was really upset. I had to look for another makeup place inside Macy's. I ended up doing my makeup with urban decay which did a horrible job! I looked bad. The first guy that was working on my face couldn't even get a straight wing line. I had to switch to another girl. I payed $116 at urban decay and I left feeling ugly. I cried all the way home. Once I got home I washed all of it off and did my own makeup, not the best but way better than the shitty job they did. I showed up to my graduation with swollen eyes from all the crying but at least I felt pretty. read more
