I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Le Labo. I placed an order for pickup at the 744 E 3rd St. Los Angeles location and received an email on Saturday, August 15 at 7:34 PM explicitly confirming that my order was ready for pickup. Based on that confirmation, I made roughly a one-hour drive to the store the following day. When I arrived, however, I was told that they did not have my order. I had received no email, phone call, cancellation notice, or other communication indicating that there was an issue with my order. The only communication I received from Le Labo was the email telling me it was ready. What made the experience even more frustrating was the way the situation was handled once I arrived. I was not given a clear explanation as to why an order that had been confirmed as ready was suddenly unavailable, and I actually had to ask whether I would be receiving a refund rather than having that information proactively explained to me. I understand that inventory or order issues can happen. However, sending a customer a confirmation that an order is ready for pickup when it isn't, especially when that customer makes a significant trip based specifically on that confirmation, is a major inconvenience. For a premium brand like Le Labo, I expected much better communication and customer service. A refund simply returns the money for a product I never received; it doesn't address the unnecessary time, travel, and inconvenience caused by the incorrect pickup confirmation. I hope Le Labo looks into what happened and provides an appropriate resolution, because this experience was far below what I expected from the brand. read more

I went in for a refill and was immediately greeted by Stephanie and another team member. I was able to smell a few fragrances without feeling any pressure, which I really appreciated. Stephanie started mixing and doing her thing on the side--she looked like a true professional. Once finished, she even asked if I wanted my name engraved on the label--major plus for small thoughtful details like that! She also recommended scents based on the ingredients I like and the fragrance I was refilling (The Noir 29). Overall, an excellent experience--highly recommend checking out this location! read more

Came here for some hand soap and shower gel. For the premium price they charge - you might think that the customer service would be good, but its the opposite. When we walked in, the worker did not greet us or anything. She was behind the window making some mixes of who knows what. The lady with the thick eyeliner and dark black hair that assisted me on Saturday March 13, around 5:30, spoke to me in the most condescending tone of voice that I would have not bought the product if it wasn't a last minute gift to my good friend. This review is long overdue. I live in the neighborhood and this Le Labo is a godsend for all my needs. I highly recommend smelling Tabac, Bae 19, Cuir, and Vanille. The Le Labo face lotion, body wash, and deodorant are part of my everyday routine. I get non stop compliments asking what I'm wearing and why I smell so good. The store itself is always clean and the vibes are cool and welcoming(even when it's busy!). All the employees here are so helpful, so knowledgeable in the company and it's processes, and make great recommendations. My only gripe with this store is that it's surrounded by annoying drunk people on the weekends from the surrounding breweries. That being said the Le Labo product and the employees make it worth walking over to this store to smell luxurious. I can't wait for the city scents! read more

I'm no fan of Le Labo, as my other reviews will attest. It's Estée Lauder, so it's not some small, artisanal fragrance brand. Moreover, ever since Estée Lauder bought them, their prices have soared despite being able to take advantage of economies of scale, which should mean the price goes down. So the price is high because of some perceived notion of fanciness, not because of any special inherent quality. This stuff comes from the same factory as Clinique Happy, folks. That said, on my recent visit, the staff were very nice and helpful. I really wanted to support them and even bought one of the city scents samples just because I wanted to make some sign of support for the people out there working to give us some semblance of normality. They were really great. So one star for the fake luxury charlatanism of the brand, but five stars for the staff here ― it evens out to three. That's as high as I'll go for Le Labo. Ever. As the other reviews have said, the staff here look very serious, stuffy, and unhappy. When I asked this lady about a product, she talked to me with the enthusiasm of a zombie. While customers were browsing products, the workers were just standing in the back with a stone cold serious face and just glaring at them. The cashier was also super lethargic and not friendly. Idk if the crappy workers situation is isolated within this specific branch, but the staff here need to lighten up and act like they're a little bit passionate about the expensive product they're selling. read more

I usually shop from the Sunset location where they always go above and be you to take care if you. I decided to give this location a try since it is close to home and it was a world of a difference. The people there seem annoyed to have to answer your questions and do so with an attitude. What could improve?! Customer service, my friend and I visited looking to buy buy buy, however customer service was not desirable. I asked a question since no one out of the two working bothered to as us if we needed help. I asked about the cilantro scent that was out and if they still had it , the answer was "no, but you can get it in Mexico". My friend said oh really well we are not going there! Starting off to say I had an amazing experience here on Friday (9/15)! From a warm welcome to a very helpful and hands-on guide through all the scents since it's my first time shopping at Le Labo. Very big thanks to Taylor for being patient and informative about which scents I was looking for and helped me pick out some options. I told him I was looking for something pretty bright and he showed me the PERFECT scent which was Ylang 49! The scent was absolutely perfect and he had me try out their staples like Santal 33 and Another 13. I ended up getting BOTH Ylang 49 and Another 13 because they were just THAT good! Also thanks to I believe her name is Jenny! Shared a good laugh with her about how she came about working for Le Labo. Overall, not disappointed about anything AT ALL for the time being there. wow customer service at an all time low... jenny has fulfilled her role in belittling a long-time returning customer. i have never been disrespected by a store associate like i was today. i made a simple mistake of using my nail to sample the hand cream and wow- i wish i never did. the amount of rudeness i encountered because of this honest mistake is unreal. i have never written a negative review on my yelp (you can see for yourself) but this experience takes the cake. Found the scent I've been looking for! The ladies at the Arts District area as well as Danni and Mike at the Santa Anita Nordstrom were all amazing! They were very hospitable and knowledgeable of the products. They were very patient in helping us make the right choice of the many scents that Le Labo has to offer.
