This is my favorite CosmoProf! Other CP's seem to have an issue keeping their shelves stocked- not the Vermont location!! The shop is well stocked and well organized. It's super easy to navigate and I always get in and out really quickly. The store manager, Jen, is without question the most helpful person I've ever come across in this company. Poor customer service experience at Cosmoprof. I made multiple phone calls and was repeatedly left on hold for 15-20 minutes at a time -- three different times. When the associate finally came back on the phone, he couldn't answer basic questions about the Redken to Schwarzkopf color conversion or the color swap program. I was told I needed an appointment for the swap, but nobody could clearly explain the process. When I asked what the "$100 minimum" meant, the associate couldn't articulate whether that meant I needed to spend $100 or bring in $100 worth of product. He also couldn't tell me the maximum amount I could swap or provide any real information at all. Instead of solutions, I got excuses about being understaffed and why I had been left on hold so long. As a licensed professional trying to make purchasing decisions for my business, this was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this experience really discouraged me from wanting to shop at this location and honestly makes me hesitant about Cosmoprof in general. read more

Ive been coming to this location for a little over a year and I love it. All of the employees are super kind and helpful and they always have exactly what I need. I also really love going through all of their discounted items and usually end up leaving with some fun goodies I wasnt expecting. I highly recommend this location for excellent customer service and reliability. read more

I love this CosmoProf location! The staff is super friendly. Jennifer and Ashley were so nice and took the time to answer my questions and help me set up my account and find the products I was looking for. The only thing I would suggest is that the parking is tight so park at Vons down the street and walk over. It's a few min walk and so worth it. read more

Have been shopping at CosmoProf day one I have become Cosmo student and that was more then 10 years ago, still is my first stop before I go to a salon. Paul Mitchell has a promo for the month of January, when I did ask manager Mr.Leo he really didn't know what I'm talking about when I called 3rd street mgr offer me a color swap for my old colors and gave me a intro kit right away without attitude. It was literally night and day experience! CosmoProf offers price match with competitors like Elegante Beauty Supply or Nancy, when I was trying to buy a Wahl clippers and save few dollars by bringing digital online add it wasn't good enough for mr. Leo so my next stop was Sally's on Vermont and Hollywood where I bought wahl tattoo clipper for $38 and wahl 1919 anniversary for $172 and saved good amount of dollars manager was very polite and said unless it is not a cash and carry digital add works well. Sally's and CosmoProf same company from my understanding! So my conclusion is either mr. Leo really don't want my business or hate his job! read more

Absolutely hate this store. They have very limited inventory, always out of most things. Not to mention that parking is terrible. Save yourself the trouble go to Salon Centric that is a little further down. They changed management in this store, believe the new managers name is Jennifer but can't remember. I called this morning the let them know someone was going in to pick up some items for me. I never use to have to call but I guess this is no longer allowed. The manager refused service to the person that went in, she's had it out for him since she first saw him, perhaps because his black. She wasn't even checking him out put she ran up to the register when the other person checking him out was offering him something. She told her he couldn't sign up since he didn't have an account. Mind you he wasn't applying for anything , then tells him no one called. Which he told her he did, she check and said I did, but his been rude before and would refuse service. The reason I believe she is racially profiling him, is because she called me afterwards to tell me she refused service and he was no longer allowed back. And said they are trying to protect my account incase someone that shouldn't be using it is. Really !!!?? As if he stole my account. read more

They Used to be great. Really friendly staff. But terrible inventory. Now, your better off ordering on line. Terrible inventory. They closed their store on 3rd st. with no notice. Went to La Brea store, with no parking. No Inventory, they sent me to Vermont. The street is under major construction. Went through the ordeal of parking, only to find less inventory then the previous store. Save your self the trouble. Our on line. read more

Leo (the manager) is an extremely rude person and has no people/customer service skills. Let me start over... I've been coming here for years and have never had any problems with any of the staff here. I happened to come to the store with my 4 year old daughter. We were in the nail polish section of the store and Leo was watching us like a hawk from the register. My daughter was next to me the entire time looking at the colors they have when he blurs out loud, "BE CAREFUL WITH THE NAILPOLISH!" I gave him a look like (whaaaat she not doing anything) then he said, "You're her mom you should be watching her." I was like, "Well someone is grumpy today and I am watching her." Then we kept walking down the aisle when she pointed at the nail polish swatches they have. He was like, "DONT TOUCH THAT, THEY BREAK" "I told him if it breaks I'll pay for it but she's not doing anything." He wanted to keep going back and forth and I said, "Look, I'm not gonna argue with you, I'm here to shop." That's when he finally shut up. My daughter is aware enough to understand the situation so she made a wimp almost crying sound bc her feelings were hurt. Not to mention I was so mad but did not want to express my rage. When I was strapping my daughter to her car seat she was like, "Mom, why was that man so mean to me?" I never write reviews but the way Leo the manager spoke to me, he should be demoted. Dude its not your place to "lecture" someone who didn't bring their cosmo card. Then continued to go on and say it's not professional & it's my job as a stylist. When he tried calling cosmo prof to try to get my information they could not find it. Instead of offering assistance on other ways I could make the purchases for the salon he continued to state it's not cosmo profs issue I didn't have my card with me & yet again gave me another "lecture." I thought I was in the fucking twilight zone they way this dude was talking to me. Don't go here guys. You'll be much happier making the drive a little further to another Cosmo. I absolutely hate coming to this location, the manager Leo is very rude and unprofessional. I think twice about coming here, but I do sometimes if I'm in a hurry. Today was no exception I came in and of course he was not helpful like always, he doesn't even say hi, or tries to help at all. At the register he charge wrong for an item and then he didn't even apologize for the mistake, i got really annoyed and left half my products at the register. I don't understand why he always have an nasty attitude, and how he's been there so many years. I will drive longer next time read more

I showed up quite late into the day, around 5:40pm, they closed at 6pm. I get that I showed up so late, but I was hoping to be in and out, but they discontinued selling cases for shears which I find to be completely necessary to sell for stylists or barbers. Being that I was there late and I was asked for my professionals card, and I didn't have a physical one so the associate told me to download the app & my phone was downloading slow & he was rather impatient. I usually understand because they're about to close, but it becomes rather awkward for how rushed out you feel. They close early too which is an issue as well because I hope they'd be open to later on in the evening. I'll probably shop at a different location next time earlier in the day. read more

I love that they never make me feel like a customer. I feel like I just walked into my friends glam room to find some products for my hair. In the 14 minutes I was there, he serviced 8 guests (I counted) while maintaining maximum efficiency and servicing everybody promptly. It wasn't just cashiering either, he opened a new account, answered the phone, answered consultations questions and to top it off, dealt with a needy overwhelmed person. David: you're amazing. I am a salon owner to a very busy Salon in Los Angeles I'm also closer to another CosmoProf down the street but I always choose to come to this one because I always have exceptional service the girls are always so welcoming when I come in and greet me by name the manager Leo is always kind and helpful , and has a great staff. The girls are very helpful there's been times I've been running late and they pulled my order over the phone I used to have a wella rep but they didn't get my order to me on time so I have to come here quite a few times a week and I actually really like coming and chatting with the girls for a bit they always get me out in a timely manner it's just always a really great experience. read more

Absolutely the best Cosmoprof in So. Cal. I love the staff always looking to make my shopping easier, always product savvy, always letting me know of upcoming deals. Always paying attention to what products I use and suggesting new ones. They keep the products I use in stock. They know which colors I use most frequently and make sure they are always on the shelf. Leo, Gloria, Day Day, and David, are always a pleasure to work with while getting my shopping on. No matter what time of day it is they're always on top of it. If something is not in stock they make sure to order it and call me as soon as it gets in. The store is always super neat, everything labeled in pristine order. I've never had to wait in line even on sale days they are very well organized and make sure not to keep us waiting which is super important for hair stylist, because we're always on a time budget. I have shopped at multiple stores downey(indifferent customer service), Lakewood(a huge mess of a store) this location is always super well stocked and organized. I really like to go to this location, the store is big, well organized, clean, fresh temperature which is good for products, employees are very accessible, kind and answer questions or will give you tips! Promotions are always visible. Parking is busy but is possible to get a space. I have another store closer of my skin care studio, but I prefer to drive a little bit more because I get better service here. read more
