Closing out my 2025 BBQ experience, this place does not actually feature enlarged posteriors. It…read moredoes feature meats and sauces, though. And it does have an enlarged /interior/, if that means anything to you. My friendly and attentive waitress hinted that they also had brisket that wasn't on the menu. After she confirmed it was leaner vs. fattier, I made that my meat and chose sides of pickled okra and beans. And I left room for dessert because she said that existed as well. * Brisket: 3.5/5. Yeah, the lean meat was separated by streaks of fat. I'm used to that with brisket. But the meat was a bit underflavored and overdone. * Sauces: 4.5/5. The hot sauce is just hot sauce. Pick from any of the others and heat to taste. I liked the hickory bourbon best. * Pickled okra: 5/5. It's not breaded. I wish I got way more than 4 of those, but I know that if they were sliced and breaded that's about how many I'd have. * Baked beans: 3.5/5. I like that they had meat in them, but the flavor wasn't the BBQ I'm used to. It was more on the Mexican side somehow. To close it all out, I got some smoked cheesecake to go. Homemade. Smoked? Well, not really. I barely smelled or tasted any hints of smokiness in there. The toppings tasted canned, I hate to say. So I unfortunately would not recommend it, even though she was willing to put on two toppings 50/50. I'll note that both ladies working there said the banana cheesecake is best because the bananas are laid on in a pudding type sauce. I wasn't feeling bananas but maybe I should have been. In the end, I don't want to shortchange that you won't find another genuine BBQ place in London, so if you're looking for BBQ in this city do head a little way out of town for some Pretty Hot And Tempting Barbecue Under The Tasty Zephyrs. (I tried.)

We stopped at the Wok N Roll food truck at the Moonlight Fest in Somerset, KY. My husband got the schezuan beef and I got the sesame chicken. They were both bland (I mean...schezuan is in the name and it has zero spicy-ness? How?) and they were swimming in this overly sweet, liquid-ey sauce that had no flavor. You could hardly consider the fried rice *fried* and it didn't have any vegetables in it. The only item that was prepared with some thought was the egg roll, which was thick and appeared to be double fried. Sorry to be harsh, but anyone who thinks this is good food has never left their house.
