Pizza was incredible along with brisket sandwiches. Can't say enough positive. The atmosphere and the live music was great!! The best bbq sandwich I've had in a long time. Definitely recommend!! The food was amazing, and service was quick. We spent more time hanging out and relaxing than we did waiting on our orders. Prices are to be expected for lakeside. Portions are huge!

I've worked in food service for 30 years and been a lake goer for at least that long. The Jamestown Marina and Mama JJ in particular has lost our business forever. I also very rarely send food back or make a fuss or give a kitchen a chance to make it right. Today, on the lake the food was so stale and cold and the pork so hard and rubbery I hope we don't get food poisoning from the few bites we took trying it. It was not chewable and not swallowable. I asked the staff to make it right or for something else - they send me back an even worse entree that was even more cold and more stale ... I threw it in the trash. Here's a suggestion... if the customer asks or gives you the chance to make a bad experience better - try to do that and keep their business. Don't make it worse. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time with 5 employees. The server had to go get the cook from smoking hanging out on the dock and the other servers just stood around goofing off. We are retired and spend seven days a week on the lake in the summer. We spend a lot of money eating out on the lake. We will travel to the state dock, wolf creek or rowena or go hungry rather than give this place our money and business anymore.

The Epic Cure - Truck has an urban sort of rustic approach. Also, lots of beer stickers.

Had the loaded Tatar tots and they were pretty good. Had sausage, peppers, onions & cheese all over top gator tots. The Kung foo cauliflower was awesome, Think they fried the cauliflower and put sauce similar to sesame chicken over the cauliflower. Very good truck & worth eating again....

This evening we ventured up the hill to partake in The Epic Cure! The menu variety looked excellent! Even if their tired 90's music was a bit stale. I quickly opted for the Chicken Tamales (assisted by the fact that one of their crew was pointing it out to me as I walked up). It took several minutes while they prepared them. I was a little confused because I thought tamales were usually a pre-made item, and I could clearly see the chef handling some uncooked masa. As he handed them over, I could clearly see this was the real deal. The chicken was taco-seasoned and juicy (practically falling apart), the masa was warm and perfectly formed into that tamale shape. The corn-black bean salsa was a nice touch also. It would be nice to have some beverage options, but we didn't ask. It was close enough to our apartment that we just walked back and chose from our existing stockpile. Overall, I would say whatever you do, don't discount this less-than-pretty food truck. This stuff is for serious.
