Believe me...you have to pack your patience with me as a scary pants. Tattoo with Ally - I had already emailed an image of what I wanted to Charity. I thought that was it. Wrong! I was introduced to my artist, Ally, who had sketched some super dope art for me! I was really pleased! During the tattoo she talked me through it (it's on the back of my leg so I couldn't see the process) and made sure I was ok. The tat came out perfect!!!!! Her aftercare instructions were super thorough as well. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to get some ink done!

If you come here at night, you might think you're walking into a punk/metal club. The decor in each booth shows off the personality of the artists. But, don't freak at the skulls and horror movie statues: these are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet. Assuming you're here for a tattoo, your first stop will be looking at the books by artists here so you can see what kind of work they do. Some of the artwork is so beautiful and elaborate that you could make a print and hang it in a museum. The guy who did my work was Matt Black. We exchanged texts with my sketch of the design I wanted, and his ideas for how it would work. After seeing his work in the book, I shouldn't have been surprised, but the artwork he did was beautiful. I couldn't have imagined that my crude sketch would turn into something so impressive. I just got back from Las Vegas, where a tattoo parlor wanted to charge $250 for an hour of work; this was a place rated as a $$ price, which is crazy. The people out there are no better than the people here. Matt did my tattoo in about 2 hours, and it cost $250. Don't feel like you have to spend a fortune on a tattoo, and definitely don't go to a cheap place to save a few bucks. Eternal Tatoos will give you art that will stand the test of time.

My friend and I did a stay at the room here that was listed on AirBNB, which also gets you free…read moreadmission into The Schvitz as well during your stay, so it was really cute! The room itself (a bedroom and a living room space) was super cutely decorated and the perfect amount of room for the two of us doing an overnight stay. The overall Convent space is pretty interesting and unlike anywhere I've ever stayed before. The downstairs space is a very large rooms/event spaces that are all decorated with bits of art from local artists that you can purchase and is independently run from the AirBNB. There was an event they were setting up for in the downstairs space for later that evening when we showed up and I believe the event happened and was taken down in the span of time it took for us to go out to dinner and come back, so that was interesting lol! The upstairs space is a long hallway with various different businesses in rooms on either side of the hall, with the high majority of these businesses focused on holistic healing and arts. My friend and I took advantage of our close proximity to these businesses and booked individual sessions with an energy healer that did energy readings of us, which was very enlightening for the both of us! The bathroom for the AirBNB is communal and located at the end of the hallway on this second floor closest to the AirBNB, but I assume that everyone in the building can access it as it has two stalls, two sinks, and a shower if you're so inclined as well. All in all, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have done it, but I don't know that I would personally do it again. I felt a steady level of anxiousness the entire time I was here, which I'm not entirely sure where that came from, but I think I could just chalk it up to me being in a space where I didn't feel completely safe even though there wasn't anything specific that made me feel unsafe here by any means. I just felt a tiny bit on edge the entire time I was here.

I had been wanting to get this tat for months. I researched reviews, sent emails, called, etc. I…read morefinally decided on the tattoo parlor previously mentioned. I picked it because the owner (Sebastian) was a season 2 finalist on Ink Master. Sebastian stated that he only did black & white realism, & passed me off to Tron. I specifically told Tron that I was VERY particular, & to take his time. . . I was willing to pay for it. Now that the work has completely healed, it is some of the worst work for letting "I" have ever seen. Precision, accuracy, finesse, consistency are needed, which are obviously lacking in this work. I have since found out that Tron is one of the least experienced artists (?) in this establishment. A scratcher. IF you go over this tat with the same level of scrutiny as an Ink Master judge, It fails on many levels. . . consistency being the most lacking. The most obvious. . . the negative space in the "e" in "When" looks like a blob. I wrote a review they were not happy with, but surely deserved. They gave a half hearted apology, but did not mention giving back my money or making some attempt to fix it. Caveat Emptor.
