I'm of the mindset of "she who buys & wraps awkward presents should carry such presents", I also feel that way about over packing lol. However chivalry is not dead and was alive and well this beautiful morning. There was a tiny snafu in my last booking. The driver was given the wrong street (FYI - there is a Wilke & a New Wilke rd lol). It might have been my Palindrome when he called to book or whomever took the booking... not a big deal, mistakes happen. We were expecting a golf club & ended up in a subdivision. My driver was cool about it & thankfully I had brought my destination address with & we got to my location easy peasy with the help of his GPS. My driver also insisted on making sure the venue was open as the parking lot was empty & it looked closed... I had planned on getting there early to help setup. All was well but what a sweet gesture as he was worried about my safety. My driver said I should call the dispatcher to let them know about the discrepancy & I did. The first thing out of the dispatchers mouth was "is this Leah?". The driver had already called & let them know. The dispatcher was super apologetic and really nice. I felt bad because I could tell she was expecting a complete temper tantrum. As I am not 3yrs old & if a simple mistake is the worst that is going to happen today... it makes for a funny story as far as I am concerned. I reassured her all was good, she was really nice. This is why we LOVE Home James, mistakes happen but it is HOW you handle a mistake that sets you apart from the rest.

For pickup, my driver was early, very helpful with my baggage and very nice. Upon my return, I lost my phone so was worried I was not going to be able to find my driver. All in all, the experience was great. The prices cannot be beat. I will definitely be using Grid again.

It's the first time I booked a car service without talking to a live person, but decided to pull the trigger. They send automated texts and emails, including the name and phone of your driver. I tried calling and texting them the day before just to be sure everything was set up, but they never called or texted me back. Of course, the next morning the driver is nowhere to be found, so I call him and he says "I told Grid yesterday I couldn't pick you up". I call the service and they start scrambling to figure out what went wrong. They call me frantically with some BS story that the driver went to the wrong address. The. They said they had someone on the way (20 mins away). I told them to cancel it and I just ordered an Uber, which arrived in 10 minutes so we could make our flight on time. I'm clearly in the minority here, given their ratings, but you don't get more than 1 chance to let me down for something like this. They still have not emailed or called to acknowledge cancellation of the return pickup or to apologize for totally screwing this up. All these guys seem capable of doing is sending automated emails and texts. We're never using these guys again.

My driver was friendly, on time and arrived with a clean car. My only con would be the lack of refreshments. I am not sure if this is guaranteed within their service but the last few times I booked the driver had bottle waters available. I just expected this amenity to be consistent considering gratuity is included within the pricing. Overall the service was great but I believe this company may outsource their drivers so I may use another company that has a standard when it comes to vehicle model etc.

My first warning should have been the fact that they don't have pictures of most of their vehicles. Received confirmation of everything 2 weeks in advance. No answer. Phone goes to someone's cellphone vm. Decided to email. No answer. Ended up splitting my group into 4 separate Ubers/Lyft. Was not a fun way to start the vacation. Eventually they got back to me apologizing and said all of their fail-safes failed. Claimed it never happened before. They said they would offer to (if available) take us home from the airport for free. Naturally, they weren't available for our flight home, but said they were going to look into alternative arrangements for us and would get back to me shortly. Never did. Bottom line, spend a little more and go with a large, reliable company. Stay away from xecutive. Also looks like many of their 5 star reviews are fake and/or friends.
