M22 store in downtown Traverse City is awesome. We were instantly greeted by a friendly employee who chatted it up with us for a minute! Super welcoming. Dogs were allowed - thankfully, mine needed a moment of some air conditioning & a cold drink of water (available a few spots located through out the establishment.) Very sleek store. There are two sides full of clothing, stickers, accessories, and more. The store has a nice atmosphere with good lighting, and there were quite a few staff members available to assist. Prices were on the higher side. It has a good location on Front Street. read more

I love supporting small local businesses. We popped in this location to peek around and find out more about this branding as we have seen M-22 shirts and stickers in lots of places. The selection of items is very nice and appears great value. We wandered into the area of the M-22 adventures. The lovely woman working there was exceptionally pleasant, telling us about how the business started and why and how it evolved. She emphasized that the adventures are for all types of activities. The M-22 can truly be enjoyed by all activity levels! I have now made this my Michigan goal! read more

Loved the store conveniently located on Front Street. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and let us browse without following us around. The quality of the merchandise was top of the line. Prices may have been a little high but I believe you get what you pay for. The layout of the store was nice, not over crowded. Definitely gave an urban hipster vibe, even though the premise is M22 which travels through rural Northern Michigan. In the end we settled for 2 t-shirts. We were there in November so the t-shirts were at a great discounted price - and we can always layer, right? I also collect refrigerator magnets and got the M22 metal magnet and a percentage of it went to charity....I think it was a conservatory but I can't remember for sure. I love buying local especially if some of the proceeds are donated elsewhere. Great concept, great store. read more

Replacement Hoodie. So my beloved Black M22 hoodie wore out after many years of wear. So off I went to get a replacement. My original hoodie was made in the USA and 100% cotton. The new one...Guess you can see where this is going? The new hoodie had a fabric content of 50/50 poly cotton and was made in Nicaragua - but printed in the U.S. When I was at the store in Glen Arbor, three of the hoodies had some sticky gluey substance inside the hoodie that staff seemed to know about, but were still hanging on the shelves. I went up to the Traverse City store, and their hoodies had no glue. The service was great, staff were helpful and friendly, and the store is obviously making money, so I have to guess that quality is secondary to making cash. read more

The service was exemplary, but that being said, the hoodie material was thin and of low quality. The cuffs were stretched out and didn't fit around my wrists, the sleeves kept falling down over my hands. The screen print was patchy and not solid. For $55.00, I'd expect a higher quality garment. All in all, not the same quality that they used to stock. To sum it up, great service, poor quality garment. read more

So I visited this store Feb 24th 2018, during a trip to Traverse City with the wife and another couple. I've always wanted to stop into this store. They have a lot of things that I always buy when I'm vacationing. Big fan of stickers, magnets and little things like that. Very trendy establishment. Staff very friendly and laughed at all of my jokes. This always helps. Wife bought some pants, a hoodie and a t shirt. I also bought a t shirt. The bill quickly jumped up over $200. Got a discount because of a sale. 20% off I believe. Still a little steep for my taste. Wife says that the sweat pants and the shirt are the most comfortable items she owns now. She also cannot stop talking about the hoodie. So I guess money well spent. I purchased a t shirt that actually may have been affected by my deodorant. I put it on for the first time a week later. Under the arms discolored almost immediately after contact. I emailed the website then I called them. Liz the store manager helped me out and gave me some direction, since I wouldn't be back to the area. I emailed the photos they wanted and the web manager Sarah contacted me and they are replacing it. Wow talk about customer service. So I'll up date the review when its all said and done. I'm just kind of blown away that there are still businesses like this that have customer service. Way to go. Update 3/13/18. Emails exchanged. They mailed t this past Saturday and I received the new shirt yesterday which was Monday. Thank you Sarah and Liz. read more

The store had a lot of neat items and I really liked the variety of merchandise, but the price. Oh the prices. They were quite steep. Printed in Michigan yes, but merchandise made in Egypt. For the price I would want union made clothing and printing. read more

It's a cool store. I like the style. Very unique concept. Only problem, reason for loosing a star, is that the first 5 minutes wearing the sweat pants I bought the drawstring snapped. Also, almost all of the shirts are cotton/poly blends. I won't put a tshirt on if it's not 100% cotton....so I hope they see this and consider higher quality apparel to print their logos on. I would pay the extra amount for some supima cotton shirts from M22....never wore a more comfortable shirt!!! I will be back next year. read more

The quality of the clothes is great and comfortable. However, they are a bit pricey. I got a t-shirt for $30, but it was worth it to me because it had Love on it with the v being Michigan's mitten tipped over. Very clever. It'll help me remember my Midwestern roots since I recently moved to California. I'm hoping people will say: Hey! I'm from Michigan too. Let's be friends. read more

Buyer beware!! Yesterday I purchased a Love Michigan classic tank at the M22 Glen Arbor store for $20 and found out the Front Street M22 Traverse City store sold the SAME TANK for $10 today. I asked for $10 refund and was refused. They said they are not the same store?? What?? Do not purchase from this store, they are very dishonest company if they are charging 50% more at one store. Who goes to a McDonald's 20 miles away and pays 50% more? read more

Overpriced, underhelpful. I walked in and asked a question about stand-up paddleboarding. The guy at the counter tried to make me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about (I've paddle surfed and raced in California for years and was just looking for info). Having grown up in Leelanau County, I can emphatically say that whatever they're selling at this store, it DOES NOT represent the "way of life" of Northern Michigan. Most locals are not stuck-up, rude, or unhelpful. If you want that, go to California! read more

I always like to buy and t shirt or sweatshirt while on vacation, this place seemed almost perfect. It's conveniently located in the heart of town and they have a wide variety and sizes to offer. Very friendly and helpful staff. They are very expensive though.. $110.00 and two sweatshirts later..... read more
