10/2026     I stayed here on a Thurs. night. I will stay here next time I'm in the Mansfield area…read more This franchise  follows the Hampton Inn playbook. The employees are well trained. The hotel is near I-71 exit. There is a McD & Bob Evans nearby. My room & bathroom were clean. Plenty of hot water   The breakfast area was excellent & they followed the Hampton Inn playbook.  My car was not disturbed, the parking lot was clean & no loiters.

I hate leaving reviews like this, but after contacting the general manager and guest assistance…read moreseveral times without receiving a response, I feel this needs to be said. The hotel itself appears reasonably clean, and the woman at the front desk, whose name I believe is Veneer, was very courteous and kind. Unfortunately, the overall service experience was poor enough that I checked out early and went to another hotel. The first concern was my room door. The deadbolt would not properly lock unless I physically lifted the door into position. I reported it to the front desk. That is not a minor maintenance issue. It is a security concern, and it is something housekeeping or maintenance should have caught before assigning the room. I could manage it, but another guest could understandably feel very uncomfortable sleeping in a room where the door does not securely lock. The night before, there was also no television remote in the room. When I asked for one at approximately 10:30 p.m., getting a replacement seemed to become a major problem. I eventually gave up and went to bed. There was no follow-up call the next morning, no apology from management, and no indication that anyone was particularly concerned. The breakfast experience was what finally did it. There were only three guests in the entire breakfast area, including the person I was meeting with, yet we could barely hear each other across the table. The breakfast attendant had music playing loudly while she sang, whistled, moved around loudly, slammed items and doors, and generally created an extraordinary amount of noise. I understand that enthusiastic employees can be a good thing. But there is a serious lack of awareness when a breakfast attendant cannot recognize that guests sitting directly across from one another are trying to have a conversation. We were preparing for a business meeting and trying to review information together. With only three people in the room, we should have been able to speak quietly across a table. Instead, the noise level made a normal conversation nearly impossible. After breakfast service ended, I closed the doors simply so we could have some quiet. The doors were reopened, and the noise started disrupting us again. We finally asked for a separate meeting room just so we could finish our conversation. Ultimately, we decided there was no reason to continue dealing with it. If you cannot sit in a hotel breakfast area with only a few people present and have a basic business conversation, it is easier to go somewhere else. That is exactly what we did. I checked out early, went to another hotel, and conducted my meeting there. That should say everything. In my opinion, this is not a business-oriented hotel. If you simply need a place to sleep and leave in the morning, it may be adequate. But if you are traveling for business, need a quiet breakfast, want to review documents, make calls, or prepare for a meeting, I would choose another property. What is most disappointing is the lack of management follow-up. I sent multiple messages regarding these concerns, including the room security issue and the breakfast experience, and I have still not received a response from the general manager or guest assistance. Usually, my experiences with Hampton Inn properties are good, which makes this more disappointing. Problems happen. What matters is whether management responds and whether employees have enough awareness to understand the guest experience. In this case, neither happened. I hope ownership sees this review and addresses the door security issue, the breakfast environment, and the lack of follow-up. A guest should not have to repeatedly complain, close doors to find some peace, ask for a separate meeting room, and ultimately leave the hotel just to have a normal conversation.

I stayed here over this past weekend (April 17-19, 2026). This hotel is set back from US 30 which…read moreis nice which means that there is not a lot of road noise at night. Make sure you follow your preferred GPS directions because you can not get to the hotel from Sam's Club parking lot. There is a lot of parking around the hotel that is well lit at night. I stayed in a king studio which had a kitchenette. I did not use any of the kitchen area because I was in town for to see family. Though it did look spacious. The desk area was nice and the desk lamp worked. The couch was great with plenty of table options from a table on top of the ottoman and "lap table". The bed was great and there were plenty of outlets to plug in devices for charging. The breakfast area was great. There was a whole container of oat milk near the yogurt. There were signs stating that Marriott is committed to serving everyone and to reach out to kitchen staff about any dietary requests. The best part was the special note about there being gluten free options. Being a gluten free person and having a hotel have gluten free bread type things is always critical. The hotel provided gluten free everything bagels. These helped start my day off right. I will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel is full of suites (rooms with kitchenettes), and I kind of only want to stay at a hotel…read morethat has a kitchenette now. I feel like that's a spoiled thing to say, but having a kitchenette is pretty dope and changes you. It turns you into a suite person. So, give me suite with a kitchenette, or GTFO. The kitchenette comes in handy when you're traveling with kids, because then you can stop at the grocery store before you check in and stock up on snacks. If you have children, you know they are particular about everything, but they're especially particular about the things that they eat. So having a refrigerator and freezer, silverware and cups, a sink and microwave, really helps make a hotel stay much more comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the shower was fine. The TVs have cable and access to Netflix and HBO and some other premium TV networks. You get a free breakfast each morning, but they have someone there who you need to consult who will give you your food items -- you're not allowed to get the food yourself because of Covid. Also because of Covid: There is no room service. You leave your used towels and trash bags outside of your room and someone comes along and picks them up. For us, this took all day, so we had to walk by our dirty towels and trash multiple times, which was kind of a bummer. I think this is pretty standard with hotels right now. It's not just this hotel. I'm hoping this changes sometime soon -- I appreciate a good room service.

I am leaning between 3 and 4 - I think this place is a solid 3.5, but I am willing to give it a 4…read morefor Yelp ranking purposes. We stayed one night with a group of Oakland University Alumni from Michigan who were touring the Ohio State Reformatory at night. I was a bit hesitant of the hotel because a Quality Inn is not our number one choice for lodging. However, Mansfield does not have a lot of lodging options, so Quality Inn it is! Check-in was a little strange. We got there about 250p-255p. Check-in is at 3p. The worker called up to a room to check if it was ready and the maid said it was not. The front desk worker tried another room and asked the same thing but this other room was not ready either. I felt it was a bit strange since check-in was 3p. She then asked us to wait a few minutes and she would find us a room. 5 minutes passed and she found us a room on the second floor. Some of the other members in our group were also told their room was not ready and were told to come back around 305-315p. This was even more strange since check-in is at 3p. Finding the room was another issue. We went upstairs and could not find our room. There was a lack of room markers on the walls and we felt like we were in a maze. A maid told us that the section we were currently in is closed and we had to make a few turns to get to our room. The hallways did have a slight smoky smell to it. Finally, we found our room and I was pretty impressed with it - hence why I am giving a 4 star instead of a 3. Thankfully, our room was non-smoking and had a king bed. I guess I take Michigan for granted where hotel rooms are all non-smoking. The king bed was comfortable and clean. There was a microwave and mini fridge along with a desk and TV. The bathroom was also clean, a little outdated but the counter-top was nice. We had no issues in our room but the AC unit was pretty loud and rumbling. We did not wake up early enough for the breakfast nor did we use the pool - so I cannot say anything about these amenities. Check-out was fine (noon is check-out) and we had no issues for our stay. If we come back to tour the OSR then I would stay at this hotel again.

Upon check-in at 3:00 pm, I was told that the tv service was out and that a technician was…read moredispatched but they didn't know how quick they would be there. We weren't planning on being in the room until later that evening, so I figured it would be fixed by the time we returned. We returned around 8:00 that evening and the tv service was still not working. To make a long story short, the tv service was not ever fixed during our stay and come to find out they knew it was going to be fixed. Also, that evening I decided to go an locate the pool as an option for some entertainment. I finally did find the pool and it was closed and all busted up. The next morning, we decided to go down and try out the breakfast that was included. We arrived at 8:00 and found just about everything except for the waffle batter to be nearly empty. I won't go into details, but lets just say the pictures speak for themselves and that both myself and my wife ended up with some gastrointestinal issued later on. As you can see by the photos I posted, this hotel is in dire need of renovation and repairs.
