Upon check-in at 3:00 pm, I was told that the tv service was out and that a technician was dispatched but they didn't know how quick they would be there. We weren't planning on being in the room until later that evening, so I figured it would be fixed by the time we returned. We returned around 8:00 that evening and the tv service was still not working. To make a long story short, the tv service was not ever fixed during our stay and come to find out they knew it was going to be fixed. Also, that evening I decided to go an locate the pool as an option for some entertainment. I finally did find the pool and it was closed and all busted up. The next morning, we decided to go down and try out the breakfast that was included. We arrived at 8:00 and found just about everything except for the waffle batter to be nearly empty. I won't go into details, but lets just say the pictures speak for themselves and that both myself and my wife ended up with some gastrointestinal issued later on. Yes hotel is outdated. Yes they are in the process of remodeling. However, the staff was VERY pleasant and accommodating. I told them the reviews I read and he let me inspect the room BEFORE booking. The wallpaper is peeling, carpets are old, place is outdated BUT they are working on it! Cut them some slack while they update and become better. The price is great for the area and if you are looking for cheaper hotels be happy they are still in the price range and it's only until they get completely remodeled. I am a traveling nurse and this suited me fine. I am literally going to sleep and shower here and it is perfect and cheap for those options. read more

This photo tells you all you need to know about this hotel. You get what you pay for. Peeling wallpaper, peeling bathtub (didn't even know this was possible?), some lights didn't work and our carpet had this weird sticky texture that I didn't want to set anything on. Breakfast in the morning was... technically breakfast but the yogurt was from 2019 and everything else looked not appetizing. Bread was in plastic bags so we opted to eat at the McDonald's down the freeway. I did sleep decent but that was where the good started and ended, also the front desk staff were nice. Would recommend paying a bit more and staying somewhere else. read more

I am leaning between 3 and 4 - I think this place is a solid 3.5, but I am willing to give it a 4 for Yelp ranking purposes. We stayed one night with a group of Oakland University Alumni from Michigan who were touring the Ohio State Reformatory at night. I was a bit hesitant of the hotel because a Quality Inn is not our number one choice for lodging. However, Mansfield does not have a lot of lodging options, so Quality Inn it is! Check-in was a little strange. We got there about 250p-255p. Check-in is at 3p. The worker called up to a room to check if it was ready and the maid said it was not. The front desk worker tried another room and asked the same thing but this other room was not ready either. I felt it was a bit strange since check-in was 3p. She then asked us to wait a few minutes and she would find us a room. 5 minutes passed and she found us a room on the second floor. Some of the other members in our group were also told their room was not ready and were told to come back around 305-315p. This was even more strange since check-in is at 3p. Finding the room was another issue. We went upstairs and could not find our room. There was a lack of room markers on the walls and we felt like we were in a maze. A maid told us that the section we were currently in is closed and we had to make a few turns to get to our room. The hallways did have a slight smoky smell to it. Finally, we found our room and I was pretty impressed with it - hence why I am giving a 4 star instead of a 3. Thankfully, our room was non-smoking and had a king bed. I guess I take Michigan for granted where hotel rooms are all non-smoking. The king bed was comfortable and clean. There was a microwave and mini fridge along with a desk and TV. The bathroom was also clean, a little outdated but the counter-top was nice. We had no issues in our room but the AC unit was pretty loud and rumbling. We did not wake up early enough for the breakfast nor did we use the pool - so I cannot say anything about these amenities. Check-out was fine (noon is check-out) and we had no issues for our stay. If we come back to tour the OSR then I would stay at this hotel again. read more

NO NO NO don't do it unless sleeping in your is a worst option. I travel for work, averaging 100 places a year. My view and perception is....this a DIRTY and shady place. The hallway stinks like a dive bar of cigarettes and musty. The room has a heavy mildew smell. Our carpet is wet. The bed is moist like your sitting on damp towel. The bathroom smells like a wet stinky gym sock, standing water behind the toilet. The bathtub is stained gray; skipping a shower till we get to the next hotel. Stains and rust everywhere in the room. The blinds are shredded like a horror movie. Tried to go to the mini Mart across the street and was told by staff don't go out the front door there is a creepy guy; instead use the back door. There are people sitting in their cars in the parking lot all hours of the day and evening. Corporate needs to shut this place down. This place feels more like a hotel for hookers and johns. read more

Black looks like mold. Another convention person had a door that did not lock.There were other issues.Coffeee in room,no coffeee pot. Wall paper peeling in bath rooms. Fire HAZARD,worked 30 years in HAVC for JohnsonControls. Seen alot. Laundry exhaust vents PLUGGED with lent.Bad. On first floor by exit door. Very dangerous. Over all stay at your own risk. 1/2 inch of dog hair in the ac filter that I had to clean so the room didn't stink. We went to store to get fabreeze and air deodorant to purify the air because it stunk so bad. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall that showed a layer of mold about an inch thick. Opened up the fridge to find a dirty wet towel inside. The entrance light didn't work to our room and Entrance E to the building was constantly unlocked for anyone to enter. The pool had a layer of scum and we refused to get in. Our sheets in a nonsmoking room had cigarette burn holes and yellow stains on the comforter. We stayed a few days and had to get a new key card reprogrammed every time we came and went which was super inconvenient among everything else... read more

Stayed at this hotel overnight while in town. The interior is in need of some updating, including the rooms. Some of the furniture and fixtures have seen better days. During my stay, did have an ignorant guest who was yelling on the phone. The staff did accommodate my request to move to another room due to the TV not working. The hotel is located within a short driving distance of various restaurants, gas stations and convenience stores. The entrance to the parking lot does have some pot holes who watch out there. The shower head could have been a little higher, but that is a personal preference for me. The HVAC unit in my room was a little noisy and woke me up a few times during the night. The bed and pillows were comfy. From my room, was able to hear people very clearly walking in the hallway and could hear them talking. If you need a room just for an overnight trip, this hotel will suffice. If you do need to stay longer, I would recommend a different hotel. read more

I stayed for 2 nights July 23 - July 25. It was not a pleasant stay. The large one bed room itself was dank and the carpet felt wet. There was a dead bolt and a broken safety lock. The sheets were clean and bed comfortable. The front door is left wide open all day/night. Breakfast was not served due to a "staff shortage" but no refund or credit given. Neither of the two outer doors near the parking lot had key card entry that worked so anyone was able to enter the hotel. The second floor ice maker was disabled and rank with mold. The first floor ice maker sounded like it worked but was very dirty. My reservation was through Traveluro that charged me a $46 fee for the reservation but failed to forward any of my contact info to the hotel in advance of the stay. When I called to confirm I had to call twice just to get someone to answer the phone. read more

I reserved a King room for 4 nights... 4 months ago. Now, tonight, at midnight, 17 hours away from home, this hotel basically flew me the finger. I paid $500 for a trip for a hotel and they gave away my "already paid for" hotel room. Not only did the staff not try to assist me getting another hotel, hotels.com dallied around getting my refund. Apparently this hotel is only good if you are.. made of money and ready to change at a moments notice. I am beyong angry. What was my money doing for 4 months? Lounging around??? Horrible! Stayed Apr 28, 2022. Nothing good about this room or hotel staff. Shower did NOT drain, holes in walls, 2 light fixtures with bulbs hanging broken, bathroom door would not close, rusty lamps, commode ran constantly, Marijuana and smoke odors VERY strong in halls. Room musty and damp, refrigerator controls broken, TV remote did not work. Basically, everything in the room was either broken or dirty. Great place to stay in Mansfield. The hotel itself seemed old and somewhat dated, but the staff was friendly and the room was clean. We were traveling with 2 young kids and they loved the pool, which was the largest indoor pool I've ever seen at a hotel. The breakfast was typical, but laid out nicely to ensure folks weren't tripping over each other. The only problem we experienced had to do with our room keys. One of them did not work at all and the other only worked part of the time. Neither of our keys worked at the pool, even after the front desk gave us new ones. Our issues with the keys was a nuisance, but not a dealbreaker. We would still stay here again. read more

Overall, BEST Quality Inn I have stayed. I have stayed with over 20. Very well kept. Clean bathroom, sheets, room smells clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I tried calling the front desk all day today as I believed I mistakenly chose a smoker's room and wanted non smoker's room. I tried calling many times throughout the afternoon using the number posted on the internet. There was NEVER any answer. Thankfully I was able to get a non smokers room on arrival. It took my husband 3 tries with the staff to get the cards to work to enter our room. To get a password to use the internet, the instructions are to call 0 to get the front desk on the room phone. I tried several times and no one at the front desk answers the phone. I called ChoiceHotels for their assistance. They filed a complaint and said "she," I presume a manager (I only saw male staff) would be down to my room to solve the problem. No one appeared. I can't get the tv to work and the batteries in the remote are held in with scotch tape. Mold stain is evident in the caulking around the tub. Suggest Considering other options before this hotel. read more

So far so good. Motel room is not bad. Was 109 a night but with AAA see worth it. It's dead not a 109$ motel. Lol. Check in was easy but our door keys-not so much. Had problems with them the whole Time. Had to go to desk every day because our keys wouldn't work. House keeping was a bit off too. We only had 1 towel and 1 wash cloth. Wentt down to get more and we couldn't because house cleaning was gone and the stuff was locked Up?? Those aree my only complaints. We stayed here because we saw it had a pool. We were staying in Mansfield to go on a tour of the old prison at night and the scariest thing we saw on our trip was the hotel pool! The water was emerald green. The hotel is in need of much TLC. The breakfast was also disgusting. We talked to the front desk they said thier was nothing they could do because we prepaid.
