I am leaning between 3 and 4 - I think this place is a solid 3.5, but I am willing to give it a 4 for Yelp ranking purposes. We stayed one night with a group of Oakland University Alumni from Michigan who were touring the Ohio State Reformatory at night. I was a bit hesitant of the hotel because a Quality Inn is not our number one choice for lodging. However, Mansfield does not have a lot of lodging options, so Quality Inn it is! Check-in was a little strange. We got there about 250p-255p. Check-in is at 3p. The worker called up to a room to check if it was ready and the maid said it was not. The front desk worker tried another room and asked the same thing but this other room was not ready either. I felt it was a bit strange since check-in was 3p. She then asked us to wait a few minutes and she would find us a room. 5 minutes passed and she found us a room on the second floor. Some of the other members in our group were also told their room was not ready and were told to come back around 305-315p. This was even more strange since check-in is at 3p. Finding the room was another issue. We went upstairs and could not find our room. There was a lack of room markers on the walls and we felt like we were in a maze. A maid told us that the section we were currently in is closed and we had to make a few turns to get to our room. The hallways did have a slight smoky smell to it. Finally, we found our room and I was pretty impressed with it - hence why I am giving a 4 star instead of a 3. Thankfully, our room was non-smoking and had a king bed. I guess I take Michigan for granted where hotel rooms are all non-smoking. The king bed was comfortable and clean. There was a microwave and mini fridge along with a desk and TV. The bathroom was also clean, a little outdated but the counter-top was nice. We had no issues in our room but the AC unit was pretty loud and rumbling. We did not wake up early enough for the breakfast nor did we use the pool - so I cannot say anything about these amenities. Check-out was fine (noon is check-out) and we had no issues for our stay. If we come back to tour the OSR then I would stay at this hotel again.

NO NO NO don't do it unless sleeping in your is a worst option. I travel for work, averaging 100 places a year. My view and perception is....this a DIRTY and shady place. The hallway stinks like a dive bar of cigarettes and musty. The room has a heavy mildew smell. Our carpet is wet. The bed is moist like your sitting on damp towel. The bathroom smells like a wet stinky gym sock, standing water behind the toilet. The bathtub is stained gray; skipping a shower till we get to the next hotel. Stains and rust everywhere in the room. The blinds are shredded like a horror movie. Tried to go to the mini Mart across the street and was told by staff don't go out the front door there is a creepy guy; instead use the back door. There are people sitting in their cars in the parking lot all hours of the day and evening. Corporate needs to shut this place down. This place feels more like a hotel for hookers and johns.

Would not let a animal stay here. After 30 years it has gone south. Human waste in the bath tub, discovered next morning . Other room I had toliet was broken. Toliet seats so old white is off. Black looks like mold. Another convention person had a door that did not lock. There were other issues.Coffeee in room,no coffeee pot. Wall paper peeling in bath rooms. Fire HAZARD,worked 30 years in HAVC for JohnsonControls. Seen alot. Laundry exhaust vents PLUGGED with lent.Bad. On first floor by exit door. Very dangerous. Over all stay at your own risk. Sad to see a buissness go down hill like this.

Traveling back from Tucson Arizona with my 43ft RV fifth Wheel. Was told there was ample parking…read morefor trucks and trailers, however, upon arrival was only able to park the fifth wheel in front of the building as there was random cars in parking lot that did not belong to anyone at this hotel, that blocked me from making my way around the building to exit. Had to back the fifth wheel out of the parking lot onto Hanley Road. @ $140/night, when it was posted on the website for $107/night. Pool area desolate and dirty. Pool was down for reasons unknown other then the manager on duty said that is was an issue with the chlorinator and the PH in the pool hasn't been right in a long time. Hot tub inoperable and coned off with caution tape. Asked for a discount on the room just on the fact the pool and hot tub were not in operation and was told " I will ask the owner and see". Room was not what was shown in the on line pictures. Dust on curtain valances, faucet loose in sink. Bed was like lying on springs only, pillows were very small and offered no support. Worst hotel experience in my life. Bugs on ceiling above bed as well as in the sink, and tub was filthy. Also a random pubic hair and bug on towel in bathroom. Did not even use the shower here as I was absolutely disgusted. Mini fridge in room damp with moisture and not even cool, with zero adjustment for temperature. Freezer completely warm. Hotel staff although polite, sat in lobby all night talking very loudly, could hear in my room down the hall. Manager on duty has no problem joining guests outside for a smoke break. "Hot Breakfast" consisted of pastries, and microwaved frozen sausage patties, eggs, and cereal. Nothing is actually cooked here. Everything was microwaved frozen meals. Looking through past reviews it seems as though this pool and hot tub have had issues dating back to pre covid.

We arrived after 15 hour drive. I booked a double queen over the phone. We checked in drove our car…read morearound and carried all our luggage to 111 which was 1 double bed. I called and went back to desk got keys to 203, carried luggage up, room had a large pice of splintered wood on the floor, upon investigation, broken bed. Called to the front desk, she brought up another room key, I showed her broken bed and used towels and pillows in the room. Went to 221 with all our luggage, door would not open all the way, room was occupied. Walked back down stairs ( no elevator). This time she came upstairs with us, inspected the room and we finally got to relax, it was 1:45 am and we got to the hotel at 12:55. The woman at the front desk said 221 should not have been occupied, she didn't know why the towels were used in 203 or how the bed was broken. She did her best, but the hotel was not a pleasant experience. Also, we had to plug in the fridge and move the cabinet to do so in order to unpack our cooler. One incident we would have laughed off but this hotel is a disaster and the most expensive of our Best Western stays from RI to CO

I stayed here over this past weekend (April 17-19, 2026). This hotel is set back from US 30 which…read moreis nice which means that there is not a lot of road noise at night. Make sure you follow your preferred GPS directions because you can not get to the hotel from Sam's Club parking lot. There is a lot of parking around the hotel that is well lit at night. I stayed in a king studio which had a kitchenette. I did not use any of the kitchen area because I was in town for to see family. Though it did look spacious. The desk area was nice and the desk lamp worked. The couch was great with plenty of table options from a table on top of the ottoman and "lap table". The bed was great and there were plenty of outlets to plug in devices for charging. The breakfast area was great. There was a whole container of oat milk near the yogurt. There were signs stating that Marriott is committed to serving everyone and to reach out to kitchen staff about any dietary requests. The best part was the special note about there being gluten free options. Being a gluten free person and having a hotel have gluten free bread type things is always critical. The hotel provided gluten free everything bagels. These helped start my day off right. I will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel is full of suites (rooms with kitchenettes), and I kind of only want to stay at a hotel…read morethat has a kitchenette now. I feel like that's a spoiled thing to say, but having a kitchenette is pretty dope and changes you. It turns you into a suite person. So, give me suite with a kitchenette, or GTFO. The kitchenette comes in handy when you're traveling with kids, because then you can stop at the grocery store before you check in and stock up on snacks. If you have children, you know they are particular about everything, but they're especially particular about the things that they eat. So having a refrigerator and freezer, silverware and cups, a sink and microwave, really helps make a hotel stay much more comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the shower was fine. The TVs have cable and access to Netflix and HBO and some other premium TV networks. You get a free breakfast each morning, but they have someone there who you need to consult who will give you your food items -- you're not allowed to get the food yourself because of Covid. Also because of Covid: There is no room service. You leave your used towels and trash bags outside of your room and someone comes along and picks them up. For us, this took all day, so we had to walk by our dirty towels and trash multiple times, which was kind of a bummer. I think this is pretty standard with hotels right now. It's not just this hotel. I'm hoping this changes sometime soon -- I appreciate a good room service.
