The apartment was move in ready when I handed in the keys. It's disheartening that this is their culture. Excessive charging for things that do not need cleaning. I've reach out several times and no answer. I was harassed and stalked by a neighbor at the lofts and had a restraining order. the lofts favored the guy and said they couldn't respect my restraining order. they like to charge hidden fees. you pay deposits for everything but don't get them back. utilities are so high because the apartments are poorly built. my floor was so uneven you could have a never-ending ball roll. AC went out almost every other month, oh and the maintenance guy electrocuted himself so hard (after I said to turn the breakers off because they were on) he blew the two ground floors wiring. mice and rats are so bad, all maintenance does is bring you glue mouse traps. my French doors that were glued shut, had icicles inside the door in the winter... I could go on forever.

My company moved out of an apartment in early July 2024 (after leasing it for 6 years) to be charged for carpet cleaning, and general cleaning. Seriously!?The apartment was professionally cleaned throughout, after the furnishings were removed. Not a single stain, or damage to the carpet. The maintenance guys are great! I feel bad that they are handcuffed by the poor office, and management staff. Be aware! The office staff (Merideth in particular) is rude, and deceptive. You can kiss your security deposit goodbye! With the security deposit theft, as well as all the $ add-ons, you can do better in your apartment search. There are plenty of other apartment communities that will treat you with respect. We hope that this saves others on the rental market both money and the heartache/headache of ending up in an uncomfortable living situation. For this neighborhood and the prices they charge, it was frankly ridiculous in my opinion. He told them he wanted out of the process and informed them why, and they were rude and dismissive and still kept his deposit despite (in my opinion) misrepresenting the unit. They increase rent to be at what they say is market value and yet the apartments themselves are not at market value. They didn't fix the pool for this summer which is included in the rent. **Update at the end of this review**…read more The management company is disgusting, they ignore the residents, they don't allow maintenance to repair anything, there is black mold (proven to be toxic) in the buildings but even though it's been tested, management says it's special mold and it doesn't cause problems. My dog has been in and out of the vet with a respiratory ailment and Parkview's management (Forest Properties) still refuses to clean. There is literal sewage (read : your neighbors SH) leaking from the drain in the laundry room. The plumbers that service the building have said they've told management repeatedly that the pipes need to be redone in a few buildings to stop this from happening and they flat out refuse. They hire the cheapest laborers to work on the property, they had (supposedly unlicensed) men in my building this week installing new lights and they left a huge mess, a pile of ceiling pieces, pieces of cut wire, wire caps, used tissues and cigarette butts. All of this is directly outside of my door and it's now been three days since the mess was left and I've called management every single day and still they refuse to clean it. I have pictures from my building and three others in addition to pictures of the grounds for anyone interested. The apartment and grounds look NOTHING like the photographs here. They send maintenance out to any building they are showing the day of to clean it up, it's literally the only time they clean.. The women in the office are disgusting, they lie to your face, they cheat left and right and other than when they show apartment, neither one walks the property to see what's happening. I am leaving reviews and photos on every site I can find. Stay away from this place. ( Did I mention they raise the rent $35 a year? Residents who've been here 20+ years are being priced out for criminals and drug dealers who will agree to the outrageous prices making for a horrible living environment. People screaming and fighting, music blasting, trash everywhere...). They will respond to any of this with lies, read other reviews and walk around the property before you consider this place. Also consider, the pet rent is $25 per pet, PER MONTH. 2 cats = $50 a month for every single month you live here, $600 a year. ***Update 4/17/19 : I received a reply from management, you can see the comment made by "Catherine F." I replied via the email address she provided... they had no idea of who I was or what property I was emailing about because Catherine F. "HASN'T BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FOR OVER THREE YEARS!". It's been extremely quiet and the folks living here are all very friendly and considerate. The owner is wonderful and maintenance is done in a timely manner.
