I had hired 2 guys to spread this much when someone from Bussard Brothers pulled up and was arguing with them that it was moved and originally it was 10 yards. I came out and started talking to him and basically he dismissed me and told me to go back in the house. He dumped more of this trash wood chips and sped off. AVOID them unless you want to be ripped off!

Then it didn't arrive on Monday, or Tuesday and when I followed-up on Wednesday morning (today) I was told someone was supposed to call me to schedule the delivery - but never did. When my load finally arrived today (Wednesday) I was surprised to find TONS of glass shards. I learned about the glass because my 4 yo daughter cut herself while climbing to the top of the dirt pile. Large glass shards, see pics from a quick 5 minute inspection of the top of the pile. When I called to ask for a refund and the removal of the contaminated dirt my call was dropped. When I called back a guy answered (maybe the owner, I spoke to a lady previously) was short and rude when I asked about a timeline to remove the dirt. We're expecting Thunderstorms this weekend and I'm concerned the glass will wash off into the rest of my yard. I still don't have a timeline on the removal of the contaminated dirt, but the guy begrudgingly shouted to the lady in the office to process my refund when I pushed the issue. As a fellow business owner I'm dumbfounded at this company's lack of professionalism and quality control. They seem to have decent reviews otherwise - maybe I caught them on a bad day? Moral of the story - if you order from these guys make sure to closely inspect their product before spreading. I'll be ordering from another supplier.

I was tasked to pick up lumber and haul it to a site due to an employee calling out. I spoke with I think it was Graham and he provided the best customer service. From assisting with loading to explaining how I should drive with lumber sticking out the flatbed, he simply killed it. Made my day 20x less stressful. Five stars, would haul from here again.

We had the worst customer service experience we've ever had at this store. It's almost too long to…read morerecount here but I will give it a try. We ordered an Anderson patio door here in October and specified that we wanted an outswing door. From this point on, every single encounter with 84 Lumber was full of frustrations. Our name/contact info was never entered into the system so any time I called, it was like pulling teeth to even get started. The delivery of the door was scheduled but then the day of delivery, no one showed up so after multiple phone calls, we found out that the person who ordered our door and scheduled the delivery had been fired. We finally had it delivered and the contractor came a few days later to install the door. Turns out the fired employee ordered the wrong door. Not only did it not open out, it was also a lower-quality door. Which the contractors did not realize until they had already taken out the old door. Given that this was now November, they had to install the wrong door so that we weren't living with a hole in the wall. When we called 84 Lumber to make sure we wouldn't be charged for this, we were told the manager didn't even bother to show up that day but the visiting manager assured us that we should go ahead with the installing of the wrong door until the correct door could be ordered/installed. So we went into the store 2 days later to order the correct door. The salesperson printed out the invoice so that we could double-check it. At this point we found out that we had been overcharged for the lower-quality wrong door by $1400!! The manager did not seem at all concerned about this, which only makes me wonder how many times this kind of fraud is happening. We were told the door would arrive on 12/20. I called the store on 12/20 and was told the door was in. They never called to tell us. Based on the label on the box, we think it had arrived to the store at least a week prior. Why were we not called? Because of this delay, it could not be installed before January. Luckily, this was the correct door. But of course, the contractors had to come out again to take out the wrong door and put in the right door. So we paid the contractors $500 more than we would have if it had been the right door to begin with. As long as this summary is, it cannot adequately capture the hassle and stress that we had to go through thanks to this store's complete incompetence. The only good thing is that had we not gotten the wrong door, we would have never known we had been overcharged by $1400. But you cannot overcharge a customer by that amount of money and act like it's no big deal. You cannot screw something up so entirely that the customer has to pay $500 more for the contractor to fix the issue. I have never experienced such incompetence in my life. If I was this bad at my job, I would have been fired years ago.

I worked with Craig Flickinger, who deserves an extra special "shout-out" for his EXCEPTIONAL customer service and support. He came out to my house, advised the best place to set the shed, and nailed a color combination of siding/shingles off the top of his head which would match my house. He wrapped up the offer and supplied me a quote within a day. After I made my decision, Craig had the site installation crew out with a week to grade and fill a nice, level stone pad, and a few weeks later came back with the delivery crew for installation. Perched on a windy hilltop, Craig worked with me to incorporate hold downs on each corner of my shed for a bit of piece-of-mind, and actually took the time to show me how the contraptions worked. Unfortunately, the delivery crew arrived without my ramp to the garage door. A few days later, after being away for work, I arrived home to see that Craig had come out and installed my ramp for me while I was away. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that the door was out of square. Knowing that I had already accepted the installation, I sent Craig a note asking if he knew of anybody that could do some repair work to correct the door. 2 days later, Craig came out to my house and spent some time to meticulously level out some of the stone under the base of my shed. This brought the door into square perfectly. I've been so completely delighted with this company that I feel compelled to write this review. The Hardscape Store and Mr. Flickinger's care and attention to ensuring my satisfaction with my purchase has been second to NONE. I highly recommend this company, and if you are in the market for a shed, look no further than The Hardscape Store. Fantastic products, fantastic solutions, fantastic service, and providers of an overall fantastic experience. Thank you guys for exemplifying what a good company is made of. You guys should be damn proud of yourselves. Mark B. Westminster, MD

We asked for samples from each and then more samples. We called with our questions about the product and shipping, and finally selected a lovely strand bamboo from Ambient. The team at Ambient was on the ball all the time. Our order traveled thousands of miles and we were able to track it with Ambient at every port. The other company couldn't even send correct samples so we rejected them out of the gate. We love our Ambient floor. We would do business with Ambient again in a heartbeat.

Outstanding customer service + an exact match to our existing flooring!…read more After finding that our two previous flooring dealers had either gone out of business or no longer carried our flooring (tiger strand bamboo), visiting a number of local bamboo flooring dealers to no avail, and spending days searching on-line, Ambient was the ONLY dealer we were able to find anywhere in the country that carried our flooring. I love that I was able to order samples, which arrived in just a handful of days. Immediately after ordering the samples, I spoke with Chuck Basso who actually went out to check the flooring himself and was able to confirm that the samples were all from the same lot. Despite a huge amount of variation in colors with this particular flooring, they matched EXACTLY, which was awesome because they were also on their last batch. Chuck had me email him photos of our existing flooring and with his help, I was able to order that exact lot and all the trim that I needed. To be on the safe side, I ordered more than was suggested, but I was further reassured that it's one of their more popular styles of flooring and they didn't expect to run dry anytime soon, which is great because we're thinking of putting in hardwood in our garage conversion and it would be nice to tie the flooring all together. Shortly before delivery, both Chuck and Aaron spoke with me at length about what to expect with the delivery and how to inspect the pallets of flooring and gave me their numbers to contact them via phone if there were any issues. We even talked about whether their standard delivery truck would be able to make it up our steep winding hill. I especially like that each box was clearly marked with the lot number matching my floor samples. The entire process was amazing. I must've spoken with Chuck a half dozen times throughout the process and I wouldn't have been able to go through it without his assistance and valuable feedback. Buying and getting email confirmations was quick and a breeze. I never expected to have to order flooring from across the country in Maryland, but I can't say enough good things about the level of customer service I experienced. These guys are top notch and their products are awesome. Rest assured, I will be returning to them in the future. I highly recommend.
