I arrived a little late on a rainy Friday morning, and it was no problem. Being able to pull into the headed garage for check-in immediately is definitely a plus. Also, the place is pristine (I'm guessing it's new). I had a coupon for transmission oil change for the Toyota dealership I used before my move, which they honored. They also recommended that I have my oil changed (yes, it was time), and also said it was time for my tires to be rotated and balanced (on my way home, I could definitely tell the difference). I waited in the showroom/ lounge (again, pristine). They checked in with me and told me the problem was with the alternator which is still covered under warranty, but would have to be ordered. They also let me know it was time to change my brake pads, though I opted to hold off on this one. I was there for about 2 hours and upon checking out, they threw in the oil change for free because of the long wait. The end price ended up being half of what I was expecting! All-in-all, I was very pleased with the service.

After inspection, the service technician clearly told us this was a pre-existing issue and nothing we could have done to prevent it. We are now facing nearly $6,000 in repairs just to get the vehicle operational again. Since then, I have attempted multiple times to contact the salesperson who sold us the vehicle, as well as customer service representatives, to discuss whether there are any goodwill options or assistance available. Each time I call, I am transferred to someone who is "not available," sent to voicemail, and none of my calls have been returned. If you want more proof of lack of response, just look at the reviews below. Funny you only see the owner comment on the few five stars they have, and non of the unfortunate people that deal with issues. If you are living paycheck to paycheck like most families, this is not a risk worth taking. When something goes wrong, you may (will) be left completely on your own. We are now trying to recover financially from a repair bill that will take months to pay off. We could not get our vehicle fixed at the location we bought it at, due to their inability to work on Volkswagens, makes you think they shouldn't be able to sell them at the Subaru location. I do want to recognize the team at Volkswagen of Green Bay, they have been honest, professional, and extremely helpful throughout this process. I would rate their service department 10/10. If you are considering a Bergstrom vehicle, I would recommend working directly through them rather than this Subaru location. At minimum, they answer their phones and communicate clearly. If you want to buy a certified used vehicle at Bergstrom Subaru, make sure you at least get the popcorn they offer you when doing your paperwork. At least you will get some bang for your buck.
