TL;DR IF GO AS A WALK-IN AND YOU GET HOWIE, RUN LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!!! This is going to be the 3rd time I have to write a review. This is not a good sign, instead of addressing the issue they remove your review. It is starting to be disappointed and aggravate me on so many levels on this place, I have been here a few times and got a good haircut. On Monday, I came in to get a haircut as a walk-in since I did see any appointments available on Friday. There were only 2 people cutting one who has appointments and the other doing walk-ins. The guy doing walk-ins was Howie. Let me preface that the top of my hair is wavy and big curls and at least 6 inches in length if stretched out. So, I told Howie I wanted a mid-skin taper and blend it. When he starts the mid-taper, it's high. You can't fix that but I held my breath to trust the process in any case I used to rock with the high taper a long time ago. This part took so long, the other guys had 3 appointments done before he even finished the taper. Remember when I said the length of my top hair, it's time to do the blend, he said my hair is a little thick so he is going to thin it. This SOB did not thin it out he F'ing chopped it down to about 2 inches in length. Again, you cannot fix that it's going to take at least 2 months to grow long enough to be decent. At this point, my hair is F'd up I am heated(still) and could not say anything. If I did say anything I would cause a scene and not welcome back. Howie did not listen to what I requested. He did not even suggest to what he thinks would be best. Just did what he wanted like my hair was an art project. What made it worse is he kept saying take picture of this haircut its the best around and show it to other barbers. This guy is a home-brewed barber. You cannot tell by how he cuts hair and handles cutting shears. Like he learned from the pits of someone's garage. I used to get cuts by people like that when I was in high school/college. This messed up ugly haircut still has me heated, my hair can grow back but embarrassment and humiliation last forever. M Hair needs to fire/let go of this guy and get someone who is well educated and versed in cutting/styling. Someone who listens to the customer to make them happy not some kind of project. M Hair should make this guy pay me that $35 back out of his own pocket. read more

I am quite disappointed. I went there for the second time because I had a good experience the first time - easy to schedule, shop looked neat and clean, STEVEN was amazing. However, they made me pay $4 more from the last time when I don't or didn't see any "special" thing done to my hair. From $28 to $32. When I asked what the $4 increase was for, they said something about 'it's because they did a 0.5 cut (?)'. I didn't understand it. And the more they explained it to me, I got more confused. Bottom line - it just felt SCAM-ish. And I don't like that. Steven asked me what I wanted done to my hair. And I told him, the same as before but he can make it shorter. NOW, if by "making it shorter" meant there will be an increase in $4 --- well, (1) that's crazy! because I went there for a HAIRCUT!, (2) they should've at least informed me first. I've been getting my haircut here a couple of times already and have had a great experience every time! They're pretty busy throughout the day, so I definitely recommend booking a reservation in advance, though they do accept walk-ins. I've been getting my hair cut by Michael, and he always does a fantastic job. I get a mid fade textured crop, and he nails it every time. Beyond haircuts, they offer hair coloring and blackhead removal services too. Excellent service all around and very decently priced. Highly recommend! read more

Don't go here at all. I have been coming here for a while. Lately their quality has gone down so low. My recent haircut was terrible experience. NEVER COMING BACK. The lady Cheri did not even spray water on my hair, it was a painful haircut. Stupid amateurs. She finished my hair cut in just 3 min, that's the fastest haircut I ever had. Christie has always been my go-to. She takes her time and is very methodical with every cut I've had. Sometimes I come in with bed hair, and she still takes the time to spray it and make it even to ensure a clean cut. She's great. Talented barbers all around. They don't hire inexperienced barbers. They all can cut men's hair really well in a modern style. One comment: I do wish the floor gets cleaned often, though. They leave them pretty dirty often since they're so busy and trying to make appointment time. Then it ended up unswept for a while, and you have to step on dirty hair. Our normal barber was not available and my boys needed haircuts. After reading the reviews, making the appointment was easy via online. I booked Michael (Mike) for his services. It was confirmed via text and email. We arrived and waited for Mike to finish up his last client. Both my boys are happy with their cuts since they are very picky with the new styles these days. He's fast and delivered. One thing I noticed I was charged more for one kids cut but that's fine since they were happy. There's a tip cubby for each employee so you don't have to bother them if they are with another client. Tons of seating while waiting and parking is fairly easy since it's in a center with other businesses. Shop is clean and spacious. read more

Good for men's cuts, very talented. And let me specify, I was warned not to choose a female stylist. And I wish I heeded that warning. The female stylist spent 75% of her time staring at every person who walked into the door. Distracted and rushed to hurry and get another client. Not personable and overpriced. My child's hair cut, although it is long hair, was $60. Wash in the price too. I forgot if they charge for a wash. I think they do. I'm debating going back for myself with a male stylist, but i think already too put off by my experience. read more

5/5 I came in after I was not very satisfied with my last haircut from my longtime barber. I have two cowlicks on the back of my head. This past time, they cut the hair near my cowlick so it stood up when it grew a little bit. This is a big no-no. Anyways, I was in search for a new barber and came across M Hair. I figured I'd give them a try! I made an appointment and stopped in. I asked my barber for suggestions as to what I should do with my hair and they gave a suggestion and and we went with it! I can say I am very pleased with my haircut! On a side note, the vibe of the place was very modern and new. And as it got to mid-day, I noticed that they closed the front door and turned on the AC to keep the place cool. Small things make the difference. Just got my haircut at M Hair in Fremont and honestly one of the better experiences I've had in the area. The shop was clean, organized, and the staff were welcoming from the moment I walked in. My barber really took the time to understand the style I wanted instead of rushing through the cut. The attention to detail on the fade/taper was solid, and they made sure everything was blended evenly and styled properly before I left. Prices were also very reasonable compared to a lot of Bay Area shops. I can see why so many people keep recommending this place for reliable cuts and good service.
