History
Established in 1988.
Mary S. From the LA area. I was not formally educated. I was good at sewing & creative. I was not qualified to get a good paying job. My option was to learn a trade to be self-employed. In 1979 & clueless, I upholstered the seats in my Fiat. I brought it to a shop to show my ability. I told them I was a fast learner, honest, hard worker, & you won't be sorry. HIRED. I continued to work at different shops to learn all I could. I moved to Santa Rosa in 1987. MG stands for Mary Gilmore. I met my Husband Volker in 1988. He picked up the tools and started helping build our business. In 1990 we married. We continued to work from our home from 1989 till today. Working from our home gave us the opportunity to raise our kids with proper supervision, even when sick from school. We have enjoyed working at home & plan to continue as long as we are able. We continue to thank our customers for the continued support through the good & bad times of life's sorrows & joys.
