Jose designed a new backrest for the piece, cut at a slight wedge shape for lumbar support, and the result is just so much better than the original setup. The process was not fast, as he had us come back twice to make sure the foam he'd ordered felt like we wanted it to (we returned once to test the base cushion, then once more for the backrest), but I'd much rather have the project done well than quickly. I'm really glad to support a family business of craftsmen who know their trade and stand by their work.

As you can see in the photos, the barstools are now Beautiful, Better than new. They did it for a good price, and got it done faster than the original estimated time. These could have ended up in a landfill, but instead will give us many years of use.

Loveseat measured everything the first time we went in, just friendly with no pressure & no worries. Great communication too (why does that seem to be a dying art?!), as well as turn-around. The chairs had been in the attic for 30 years and were in complete disrepair. Tom and Lenny took note of the fine craftsmanship and urged me to recover them. They coached me on saving some money by doing some simple refinishing work on the pedestals myself then helped with choosing fabric and a color. Tom let me view every step of his process of installing webbing, layering the padding, covering with the leather and finely finishing the edging and corners. Such an amazing job!!! It was hard to get their appointment and they do charge an inspection fee if we don't repair with them. They came in today and diagnosed it was a switch issue. They replaced it the same day.
