Jose designed a new backrest for the piece, cut at a slight wedge shape for lumbar support, and the result is just so much better than the original setup. The process was not fast, as he had us come back twice to make sure the foam he'd ordered felt like we wanted it to (we returned once to test the base cushion, then once more for the backrest), but I'd much rather have the project done well than quickly. I'm really glad to support a family business of craftsmen who know their trade and stand by their work.

I…read moretook in the tattered cushions from a pair of barstools to Pabros, and asked them to cover them in leather, which were originally covered in Naugahyde type substance which did not hold up. As you can see in the photos, the barstools are now Beautiful, Better than new. They did it for a good price, and got it done faster than the original estimated time. These could have ended up in a landfill, but instead will give us many years of use.

I completely understand that…read morethe final price can only be determined after an in-person inspection, but I just wanted a general price range to know what to expect, since I have no idea how much this type of repair normally costs. Instead of giving me even a rough estimate, they kept sending me appointment times. I explained that I'm in another city and didn't want to drive two hours without knowing whether the repair might cost $300, $500, $800, or $1,000. After I explained this, they again simply sent me available appointment times, almost like a scripted response. Unfortunately, the communication was not helpful, so I decided to look for another company.

The leg of one of my grandparent's armchairs had caved in shortly after moving into my current…read moreapartment. The repairman was able to come out, he spread blankets out to cover my floor and ensure the dust wouldn't get all over the place. He estimated repairs would take about two hours, but it was done in one. He even reinforced the leg to make sure it wouldn't collapse like it had before. (It had very ambitiously been stapled into place and it's a miracle it lasted as long as it did.) He was even able to put a new dust cover into place since the previous one had gotten shredded by the leg and then my cat. There was no mess left when he was done, and he walked me through every step as he was working. 10/10, definitely recommend. I also booked an heirloom coffee table to be picked up and refinished. I cannot wait to see it come back to life like my armchair did.
