Came to this restaurant seeking fish and chips. Another place was recommended but I wanted a cocktail as well so we came here instead and the place had quite a few patrons so we figured it couldn't be bad.
We sat ourselves upon arrival , no one really directs you. We were greeted within a couple of minutes with water and menus.
The bar was well stocked and was a nice sized bar area with a decent menu.
My wife and I ordered a Woodford Old fashioned. The waiter went to make them and returned after about 10-15 minutes. Explained he was looking for something to smoke them. Glad he did not find it as I don't want smoke. Anyway, it was a bit watered down as it seems he let the ice melt while looking.
To eat I had the seafood chowder and my wife ordered fish and chips. The chowder was delicious and hearty. Deep flavors with lots of seafood, carrots, and potatoes. The fish and ships were just as tasty. The batter was well seasoned as was the fish ( 1 thick piece). It comes with French fries as well. read more
