Their syrups were not listed on the menu board, but our friendly barista helped me pick a flavored coffee, as I was craving something on the sweeter side. I love their concept of using mason jars for iced beverages and serving pastries on small wooden serving boards. We had a DELICIOUS house made scone that perfectly paired with our cortado and dulce de leche oat milk latte. Cannot wait to come back and try some of their other baked goods. Best of all they have a lot of vegan options, so I can take some good friends and they wouldn't feel left out. The egg cream soda can be subbed with coconut cream and the vegan chocolate chip cookie was just as decadent as the real deal. They'll be hosting a lot more events like poetry slams, kids' movies, book club movie screenings, and even a music video premiere for a famous local band! When we finally got there, the line wasn't that long, but it got fairly long behind us. Liz and the kids got some churroa and some drinks. The hot chocolate was t anything special. We were hoping for A uelita chocolate, since they advertised it all over the place, but we didn't get that, and when we asked...it was either they didn't have any or it wasn't part of the promotion. The kids weren't really into the hot chocolate. The champurado that Liz ordered wasn't too impressive either. The churros didn't grab 'Em's attention. She has a high bar for churros either from SA or Madrid, but she's a pretty good churro critic now. They have some other. Snacks, but if they are as good as the churros or the mis advertised... I would recommend a pass. I'd be happy to try this place again during a nom-festival setting, but it's got to do better.
