Even have longstanding personal & small business accounts with ASB--no overdraft issues etc. After applying, the only communication from bank was 1 answered call from us 2 wks ago - They told us we would hear from them by end of LAST week. As of today 9/21, nearly 7 weeks later, STILL no mortgage commitment, & Bank Rep is dodging calls from both us & the real estate agent--we have no update whatsoever. *HORRIBLE customer service!!* But they kind of have us. If we didn't already pay the $400 fee - the only thing they were quick about--taking that out of the account - we would so shop elsewhere. You may want to as well if you're looking for a mortgage. FYI I worked for a bank for 20+ yrs & am a Cust Relations Mgr. This is NOT how business should be done! When this ordeal is over, we will most likely move our accounts to a bank that appreciates our business & respects our time.

I've learned a lot about banking since then, the hidden fees they don't mention when you first open your account- and try to down play that they told you when you know they didn't. Usually they take off the fee for first time offenders. I also learned to opt for no paper statements because $2+ a statement is just ridiculous. Sadly, I will be closing my account with Citizens Bank once my Claim clears and they give me back my money that is rightfully mine. Three stars for this location, staff are friendly and the guy who was shoveling the walk this past weekend - thank you for holding the door open for me.
