If you're looking for an honest neighborhood shop, I highly…read morerecommend that you talk to Matt at Truetech automotive on Thacker St and first Avenue. Recently, the team at Truetech has done some work on my 2010 Ford Rscape and I couldn't be happier with the outcome that they've done. The work was completed in a timely fashion, the prices are reasonable for all things considered for the work that was completed. We will definitely be going back to Truetech for our Automotive needs. This shop likes to scam senior citizens, veterans, and those with disabilities. How do I know? I…read morehit the trifecta, I am all three. Long story short, I brought in my vehicle because it died on me two / three times while in traffic. The last time the engine went into limp mode...red lightning bolt, and I was fortunate the vehicle would restart after each issue. Dropped off the vehicle on Wednesday 9/2/26 at 8:15am. I picked it up on Thursday 9/10/26 at 11:27am. I had to call True Tech to find out if my vehicle was done. This is what was done from 9/2/26 until 9/10/26 while they had my truck. Total cost paid, $773.03. Technician road tested vehicle for 23 miles and it stalled twice, Labor cost $330.00 for something I told them what the problem was. Labor cost to replace a crankshaft position sensor...$165.00, that takes about 45 minutes for a good mechanic to do. Crankshaft position sensor cost...$220.00. This part is available on Amazon for $16.99. Received photos of the scanner inspection results on Monday 9/28/26. The photos on the scanner show the mileage at 84426 and the codes P0016 and P1618... So this problem was known before the 23 mile, $330.00 road test and the 84750 miles on it when I picked it up. So if you are a senior citizen, a veteran or have a disability, you might want to avoid this shop.

i came in for a tire rotation and a quote on my brakes because i suspected my rotors were warped,…read morethey gave me a quote explaining what was happening and why they needed to fix stuff. i got the tire rotation and the next day took it in for the brakes, they did a fantastic job i didn't realize how bad my brakes were until they were fixed. being a woman i was scared they might try and take advantage and try and upcharge me but it was nothing but amazing service.

Accurate Auto is one of about 50 locations in the Chicagoland area that are part of the Greatwater…read more360 Auto Care network of auto shops. Matt Kepes is the knowledgeable and affable manager of this shop. David Young is a knowledgeable and friendly ASE Certified Technician here also and upon chatting, I could tell he really has a passion for cars. As a helpful Dad's errand, I brought my son's car in here for a brake job while he was out of town on a trip. This particular shop is also part of Costco's network of auto service providers (besides selling and installing tires which Costco does at its own Tire Centers) and that is what directed me here. That and knowing they would be more economical than having a dealer do the brake work. They do good and reliable and guaranteed work and while they are not "cheap", but rather reasonable, you do get a 15% discount based on being a Costco member. You need an authorization number from Costco via their website to get that discount. They do a lot of the usual auto shop services but most of their Costco referral business is admittedly for wheel alignments (which I also had done) which Costco Tire Centers don't do, but often recommends after their tire work. I really liked the professionalism and friendliness I experienced here. Nice written reports with photos are also provided on all of the work btw. Big thumbs up and thank you Matt and Dave! ps - There is a 3% credit card fee and the auto repair bills are not insignificant. There is no fee for a debit card, so bring and use that if it makes a big enough difference for you.
