Dr. Anglis sent it back to the lab several times but I continued to have pain and my bite was off. This went on until August 2022. I kept asking him what was wrong and he would say "I don't know". He finally sent me a letter and refunded my money and said to see a prosthedontist. I went to see one and was asked if Dr. Anglis was a general dentist. I said yes and that he was an" implant specialist". The prosthedontist informed me that there is no implant dentistry specialty in dentistry. He said Dr, Anglis should have corrected this misaligned implant sooner and was surpised he waited so long . He said I should only go to a prosthedontist or oral surgeon for implants. It is a very precise surgery and he said this implant was not planned well. It had to be removed and start all over. It could never be restored with the way the implant was placed and it was affecting my bite terribly. I had suffered with this misaligned implant for a whole year and Dr. Anglis and didn't know what to do. He should not be placing implants if he can't fix his problems according to the prosthedontist. I had the implant removed which the oral surgeon said was a complicated surgery since it was placed the year before. After that I needed a bone graft, and sinus lift. Finally I got the implant placed in the correct position and a crown was placed. This took another year. I had trusted Dr. Anglis for the years I went to him and sent him three patients. I so wish I never went there. Dr. Anglis is just a general dentist with some training placing implants but does not have the eduation an oral surgeon or posthedontist has since they can fix a problem when it arises.

Beyond that though, I sat in the waiting room for all of 25 seconds before I was called in! My appointment was for 8:30, and I was in the chair by 8:31. When's the last time you saw a doctor running on schedule?! The staff was friendly and good humored, and the assistant attended to me immediately. Then the Doctor came in, and clearly understood my condition. He treated the tooth, and I was on my way by 8:55. I highly recommend the office!

Dr. Moody tried to fit a permanent crown on my implant and tried several different sizes. He commented that if the last one didn't fit he would have to special order one. He left me with the last one and said it was good. I was there in March of 2024 for a cleaning. I told his associate the implant was hurting/ bothering me. He said 'Good news! It's NOT infected." Yet he gave me an antibiotic rinse to use for 3 months. Then I came back in May to have new crowns put on when Dr. Moody said, " your implant is severely infected. We have to pull it all out, post and all." That experience was sooo traumatic, I hadn't been back to a dentist in 2 years. They tried to get me to sign papers for payment before pulling it. The hygienists, the assistants and Dr. Merlo are compassionate and excited to care for my otherwise nervous children. They brought enthusiasm and my kids quickly became excited to learn about tooth health, implement what they learned and actually be excited about their trip to the dentist vs. nervous about it! They wanted to come back for fun! I was very impressed with how well the office was run and how thorough everyone was. No question about it; this was the best dental experience I've ever had.
