(unfortunately his office does not accept her insurance) for a second opinion. He wrote down his findings and told me what he saw. I take his recommendations to her appointment with me today and the dentist seemed upset that I actually took her for a second opinion. She would not even look at what he had recommended. She said that she too went to dental school and it didn't matter to her. She was very vague about what exactly my daughter needed done and would not go into details with me. She made me seem like i was a jerk for getting a second opinion regarding my daughters health. We finally agreed that she would fill the one cavity. She put the q- tip with the gel on it for literally 5 seconds before injecting my daughter. I know from experience they let that sit on the gums a few minutes before the injection to give it time to numb the area. After the filling of the tooth you would think the Doctor would talk to me but no. The assistant came to tell me that the tooth might require a root canal. He said they will look at it next time she comes back. There will not be a next time.

However, I have spent months calling and emailing trying to get the next stages of care for my kids set up without any reply. Finally I got a randomly sent (not in response to my emails) reply about setting up care, and was able to connect with someone. Set up the appointment needed for my youngest. They knew what type of appointment it was because they quoted me the price for it, and it was not a cleaning. Forty minutes before the appointment, when I have spent days prepping my autistic kid for the break in routine, I get a call asking why I'm coming in and saying the treatment is no longer needed. It was implied that I had made a regular cleaning appointment, which I 1) did not do, and 2) those are covered by our insurance and would not have cost anything. I was frustrated that my child missed out on this treatment due to the office's lack of communication with me, and I shared as much. Not a single apology. I was told they could see that they had returned "a call" and had not been able to leave me a voicemail. I called multiple times, have never had problems with voicemail not working, and had also emailed asking to set up services, which were not replied to. I cannot recommend this office for dental care. I feel awful that I let it go this long; I should have moved on after a few weeks of nonresponse instead of waiting a few months. I just thought we could get back on track with them. I don't believe they want our business and we will move on.

As I have visited twice I will contribute my take on The Center but it is not one of a long-time client. The offices are very well-designed and truly provide "one stop" dental services. The staff are very friendly. As an incoming patient I was able to take a conducted tour. This is a very impressive and logical office set up in an easy to find location with ample parking and comprehensive services and state of the art equipment. I was made aware of The Dental Assistance Savings Plan via Kleer.com at the outset, and am considering it as I retired from work with COBRA coverage from an insurance which is out of network for The Center. I read the Savings Plan form carefully and believe that I understand it. A decision should be made shortly. There seems to be confusion concerning billing practices at the Center. As I see it it is up to the patient to ask questions, take notes if needed and to make sure that they fully understand The Center's billing and receivables requirements. The person that I talked to is Shari, whom I talked to at The Center after wrapping up my last appointment. She is a very good billing manager and was very helpful. Thank you.

FINALLY... A DENTIST WITH COMPASSION. After 3 days I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. Root Canal is scheduled for next week DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I was seen and prescribed an antibiotic for infection (which did not work). I have been in pain for the past week and they refused to give a different prescription- their only concern was getting me back in there for a $5k root canal or $400 extraction fee. They could've just prescribed a heavier dose of antibiotic to begin with, or maybe this is how they force patients to return right away for costly procedures.

Even though the office was clearly busy, I never once felt rushed or like just another patient on a list. The entire team was incredibly attentive and genuinely focused on making sure I was comfortable and okay. I ended up needing a crown, and they handled everything right then and there, no temporary fix, no waiting weeks for a crown. The fact that they were able to complete the entire procedure on the spot was impressive on its own, but what stood out even more was the quality of the work and the care behind it. The doctor repeatedly emphasized how busy he is, which came across as rushed and somewhat dismissive. Before proceeding with treatment (Botox for TMJ), I reached out via email and phone with specific questions, including a request for him to consult with my neurologist, which my neurologist recommended. I was told that the doctor deemed the consultation unnecessary and that he would address any questions at the time of the appointment. I was also told he was too busy to review my questions in advance. This made it difficult to feel fully informed or confident going into the procedure. I decided to pursue the procedure anyway. To his credit, during the procedure he did answer my questions and agreed to treat the requested area. However, at my two-week follow-up, I reported increased pain that had been impacting my ability to work and function. The doctor shared a story about another patient he described as someone who complains all the time. The story felt indirect but strongly implied that patient concerns like mine might be exaggerated. This made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed at a time when I was seeking support and clarity about worsening symptoms. Additionally, while in the waiting room, I observed another patient being questioned in a similarly dismissive tone when she asked for additional help post-treatment. This reinforced my concern about how patient concerns are handled in this practice. Overall, while the procedure itself was completed, the communication style, lack of responsiveness beforehand, and dismissive handling of post-procedure concerns made this a negative experience. I would encourage others to ask detailed questions in advance and consider whether this practice is a good fit for them. Long-term results of my treatment experience are yet to be determined, but I will not be returning due to the unprofessional manner in which the provider speaks about, and to, patients.
