With less than a week to leave for home, our insurance company and a (unnamed) national body shop was less than worthless. So we looked around for a local body shop, and found Cran Auto Body. Mark came through quickly with a very reasonable estimate, was incredibly reassuring and explained the whole process to me. Even pointed out things he could reuse and did not need to buy. Super honest guy! The insurance company actually agreed with his full estimate! He got us on the road with a new bumper and hitch in no time, and we got home safe and sound. Very high quality work, factory OEM parts and everything. I hope to never have to use him again, but if any of you need that level of work, Crain's is the way to go. Also, a PSA. Always buy local, never go to the Walmarts of the world if you need quality work. Unless you need a whole lot of toilet paper in a hurry. In that case, go to Walmart. Geico paid them 3 different amounts from what I can see on this invoice. Office ladies and the estimator fellow I met earlier were extremely professional. Was happy with everything until now... Now a week later I received a phone call and subsequent voicemails from a "Robert" from private googlemail number threatening & intimidating me with Grand Larceny, Fraud, Lawsuit from his lawyer and demanding $3,000.00 within 48 hours or he was going to put a mechanic lien on my property! As a small businessman myself for 40 years, who in the hell goes into a conversation like this with a 1st time customer? I am awaiting my own demands met right now to see how this all, and my ratings of this collision repair company, will end. I am beyond livid with all of this, this man's "attitude" and assault of my character and person, and I even do forensic electrical inspection claim work in the insurance industry and credentialed in many ways.
