This company gave me one of the lowest bids for cutting down 3 trees and doing two stump grindings,…read moreso I hired them. I did tell them that my plants, irrigation, and existing electrical were important to me to prevent damage. They arrived on time, when they said they would. I did emphasize to them again that there was electrical and irrigation near the tree and to be careful. They actually did a good job of cutting the tree down, using a rope to tie off bigger branches. They left kind of a mess, which is what I expected since I had landscape rocks mostly. I knew the grinding wouldn't be pretty. My only gripe is that three of my landscape lights were not working after they left. After further inspection, I found a cut wire on top of the area where the trees were. I e-mailed a photo of the cut wire and an explained to them what happened, even after I clearly explained my concerns about the electrical wire. Their only response was that their contract, which they pretty much force you to sign, says they take no responsibility for any damage they cause. I would've thought that at least they could've attempted to have been more careful since I clearly explained my concerns in advance multiple times. It is evident that they really don't care about your property or any damage that they do to it. If you have electrical wires or irrigation, I would advise going with someone else. Now I will have to spend countless hour's digging up my my landscape to fix all the damage they did. I'm fairly certain they probably damaged my irrigation as well. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I found the workers very respectful and helpful. They shaped the front tree and got so many branches off my roof. What a relief to have those limbs taken off of my new roof. I was interested in some…read morebasic yard work in the front - removing grass and putting in new sod, a large mulch area, drought-tolerant plants and a little concrete work. I called for a quote and within days met with Jeff and had numbers in hand. It just so happened that there was also a window to have the work done the following week! The quote was fair and I was very happy to have the project done so quickly. Shortly after the initial quote, I made some changes which resulted in a little miscommunication on a couple pieces of the project. More time would surely have eliminated these concerns, but Jeff and I were able to resolve the gaps in expectations before the work was completed with only minor setbacks. Jeff exceeded expectations with my requests for drainage, which he ran along both sides of my driveway all the way to the sidewalk, and added in multiple drought tolerant plants to add to the design. Upon completion there are a couple small cracks in the concrete that showed up days after being laid, and my hose and mailbox were damaged during the construction (which Jeff offered to replace and re-install), but after having been through a kitchen remodel and other yard projects through other contractors, have learned there will always be minor adjustments or imperfections with any job. Jeff is very responsive, and his crew is hard working and polite. I am very happy with the work and that I was able to get a fair price and have the work done so quickly. The yard looks great and I have had many compliments from neighbors.

Within a a month of the landscaping- weeds started growing heavily through the rock beds , and then later in borders and in the concrete dividers. I immediately called the owner and he did send out some young guys to pull weeds and sprayed . He did not come to view himself. Less than a month later weeds were coming through again. I contacted him again and several promises were made to come back but it never happened. I was told by another land scraper that the weed fabric installed was probably low quality and the rocks needed to be removed, a weed killer applied to the dirt , and a higher quality weed fabric relaid. This will all cost me additional money , which I spent $5000 for this yard landscape. Another thing the drips that were installed never properly worked so many of the plants died due to lack of water. I was advised this would be I investigated, and it was not. While I understand weeds will happen over time, they are actually worse now than before? I wanted a low maintenance backyard landscape, which this isn't it.

They completed the work quickly but took the extra time to take out the roots that were growing out from the trunk through my lawn. I called asking for an estimate to remove a huge, beautiful fruitless mulberry that was destroying…read moreour driveway and ruining our sewer line. The mulberry trunk was thick and the roots exposed about 2 feet beyond the trunk. All of that needed to be removed and ground down. We also wanted removed a very old and poorly placed crepe myrtle that was starved for sunshine, so it looked like a big, sad Charlie Brown tree that was all branches and very little foliage. We also had a small to medium sized redwood that was crowded out by the neighbor's fence and trees. I also wanted an estimate on pruning our other fruitless mulberry that had not been pruned in 5 years. The admin who answered the phone said I would receive a call back to schedule the estimate within a couple of days...business was very busy. I received a call from the owner, Scott, the same day. He offered to come out in 40 minutes to give me a written estimate. Fast!!! Scott was definitely knowledgeable and experienced. He had recommendations that were helpful for us in making our decisions. Scott was very nice with a quirky sense of humor. He was booking two weeks out and the pricing was as follows: -Remove both the crepe myrtle and redwood, chip both and stump grind: $300 for both Remove the fruitless mulberry and stump grind: $1000 (this was a big job) Prune fruitless mulberry: $300 All of the prices included taking away all the wood and debris but he does offer the option to cut 16"-20" firewood if desired. We opted for all the tree removal and waiting on pruning since it was summer. Removal and grinding are a multi-step process that requires different equipment. Scott asked if it was okay to come out and take care of the different parts of the job leading up the final day in two weeks. I was fine with that. His team came and chopped down and ground the two smaller trees over two visits. Each job was done in 45 minutes and when they were finished, it was like they were never here. The job area was absolutely spotless. No wood, no chips, no leaves, nothing but soil. Very impressive. The big mulberry took a bit longer and was also done in two different sessions, one to cut down and chip and the other to grind. There was a stranger's car near the site and they erected plywood boards to prevent any damage to that car. When they were done with everything, they filled the hole with soil. There is a soil mound that will settle over time. We will plant grass so the area blends in with the rest of the lawn. Scott did not expect or ask for payment until the final step of the job. He did not take venmo but seemed curious about it, so maybe he will in the future. Scott and his team were efficient, friendly, hard working and professional. I am extremely happy and highly recommend their services. I will be using them again when my other mulberry needs pruning.
