I paid $350 deposit for an online tax prep meeting so I will have to dispute charge with my credit card to get my money back! Stay away! Edit: Taxlana returned my $350 deposit. I did not get my taxes done by them so I cannot comment on that. But the experience of not being able to reach this company by phone or other and the location listed is not legit. But I cannot give a review positive or negative on the quality of tax prep by this company.

Being an employer, I wanted to start offering my employees retirement accounts, health insurance and things like that however I wanted to understand how that would effect me during tax time. I interviewed about 5 different CPA companies and ultimately chose to work with Matt and his team and here's why: 1. They are a great time. There's been times when I had weird scenario questions and he would pull a couple members from his team in and they would brainstorm right in front of me all of my options then come to a conclusion on the best option for me. It's been pretty cool seeing their dynamic. They have people there who have experience in all industries. 2. He has a strong background in the financial & investment industry. I already had a strong relationship with a financial advisor however the fact that Matt has that background AND he's a CPA has made it so much easier on me AND my financial advisor. They work together to advise me and strategize throughout the year to make sure I'm being smart for NOW and my FUTURE (and for my employees NOW & THEIR FUTURE). 3. They are a small business and have that nice cozy family feel. I like working with them because everyone is so friendly and helpful. There's been times when Matt is now available however they always ask how they can help and someone on his team will call me back and get me the answer I need. His dad Pat is super friendly and the front desk Kim is always so cheerful and welcoming in person and on the phone. Thomas on the operations side of things is always going above and beyond and answers my emails so fast! Everyone here is awesome. 4. They are reasonably priced. I was paying my previous CPA who was a single CPA a little less to just file my taxes. Now I get this entire team and I pay a little more for all that experience. I interviewed a good amount of CPAs and some of them were large firms in downtown charging an arm and a leg to file my taxes. This firm is reasonably priced and you will get so much value for working with them. Overall, if you are looking for a great reasonably priced CPA to just help you file your taxes these are the people for you AND if you also need extra hand holding like me these are definitely the people to help you! After doing my taxes, I stopped in to pick up my paperwork, and pay his fees. He charged me a $5 surcharge for using credit card...but never mentioned that beforehand. He also uses some online payment method, that he couldn't seem to remember his password for. When I told him I didn't want him to keep my credit card number on file, he proceeded to save it right along with all my other personal information. He told me he'd have to run my card when he remembered what his password was, and was NOT able to print me a receipt. After this, he handed me my return...and I asked why he hadn't just e-filed them. He said oh...well that costs extra too. Did you want me to e-file? Ugh. Worst service ever. I then got a call two days later saying that he forgot to give me my original documents, and could I stop by and pick them up?
