i was working on going through the menu to try all the drinks but so far sesame sol has been my favorite for that nice high quality matcha taste with very slight sweetness. i have purchased the drinks at the pearl with excellent customer service and have been into the brick and mortar location several times with obvious lack in customer service -- even with the owners being present. the owners themselves have actually been the least inviting when entering the establishment no warm smile or so much as a "welcome in" or "thank you for stopping by" it actually seems like they are avoiding customers which is unfortunate given the fact this is a local business that could go far beyond what they are by helping make paying customers feel invited and appreciated for the business. i do not expect a "dutch bros" type of forced conversation/small talk but the coldness and lack of warm energy is uncomfortable. read more

I love Míra Matcha so much. The staff is wonderful, the drinks are top tier, and their brick and mortar is beautiful. We first tried Míra Matcha at the San Antonio Coffee Festival - it had the longest line in the area, and it was more than worth the wait. You can truly tell how much care goes into making these drinks and the quality of their matcha. I see it in the preparation and from the owner. And I can taste it too! We had their horchata matcha at the festival, and while they were out when we went to the cafe, we were able to get the '94 and Fresa Matcha. Both were so beautifully balanced and refreshing. The strawberry compote was perfectly sweet and homemade - it wasn't the one you get from the store. Fresh and delicious. I loved the '94 - it was lightly sweet and tasted almost like cereal milk. I could have drank it all day long. The matcha in the drinks was so light in texture but strong in flavor. Even the ice they used was perfect for their drinks and did not water down the matcha too fast. The cafe was beautiful, very simple, and had a nice amount of seating. They're here to provide HIGH quality matcha and serve it the way it should be. But I do appreciate them offering sweeter options for those that enjoy more sweet drinks. For me my go to is the regular iced matcha. I've gotten to try the fresa soo delicious! They also have their Latin Flavor Matcha that I try to cop when I go to the shop my favorite is the Mexican vanilla matcha latte mix. This was a very cute shop dedicated to serving matcha to their customers. I came here this past weekend with a friend and loved the atmosphere. It was very relaxing and the setup was cute. Very nice and clean and the people there were very nice. They not only sell matcha drinks but also some shirts, pastries (matcha conchas and cinnamon rolls for example) and even the matcha powder if you prefer to make your own. I did also liked that they had dog treats at the front so can give your pet a little something while waiting. The lady at the counter was able to get our order fast and made sure everything was good. She even noticed when my friend needed some more sweetness to her drink and helped her out. I ordered the mango matcha and it looked so cute and fancy. There was more of a stronger taste for the matcha than mango but did taste good. You could always ask them to adjust if you need anything fixed which I did like. I'll definitely consider coming back here in the future. For sure worth a try for any matcha lover out there. read more

I've seen a lot of Mira Matcha on social media while looking for drink spots in San Antonio, so I was excited to finally try it out. The shop itself is on the smaller side, but there is some seating available for studying or getting work done. There's limited free parking next to the shop, although there is also a paid parking lot behind the building. The interior is super cute and aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately, the drinks didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I tried the Fresa, Blueberry Matcha, and the '94 Matcha, and all of the drinks come with oat milk by default. For both the Fresa and Blueberry Matcha, the fruit syrups tasted good on the initial sip, but once mixed in, the flavors became very faint. As for the '94 Matcha, it mostly tasted like cinnamon and milk, without much matcha flavor coming through. Overall, the drinks tasted a bit watery and lacked the bold matcha or syrup flavors I was expecting. read more

This is the cutest cozy lil cafe! They have some inside seating and two tables outside for seating. They offer WiFi for guest and there are some areas to shop the store items like shirts , matcha powers, matcha bowls, cups and some matcha pastries. They even have pet treats! By the inside seating area there are outlets and lamps and a little utensil area with free lemon water. The customer service is excellent. One employee noticed I was iffy about my drink and asked if it needed to be sweeter. On the walls they also have little notes on the walls offering to remake your drink if you don't like it. Upon walking in I was surprised how large it was, the bar is further inside. You kinda gotta make your way back. It has a very friend's kinda place. Now it's a little village of trucks, and this time I check out Mira Matcha after seeing great reviews. The truck is adorable with great style, a little merch area and friendly service. I had noticed this place at the many Pearl's markets I can't believe it took me this long to try them out since I love Matcha. They serve it anyway you like. I typically don't get any sweeteners in mine, but this time I did get the honey lavender. I liked it. It wasn't over overwhelmingly sweet. The Matcha flavor was perfect. Not too strong, not too weak. LOVED! My favorite was the mango matcha you can definitely tell it's fresh mango. The blueberry matcha was good too. More of a personal preference but I do wish it had a bit more ice it was a hot day so the ice that was in it melted right away. Right when I walked in there was a strong incense burning which thankfully got more faint towards the counter. I ordered the Fresca and Mango Matcha which needed more syrup and fruit puree. The barista at the counter was sweet and nice enough to adjust it to our liking, however, it still tasted off and watery. Overall, I could tell that the matcha they use is high grade ceremonial and I'm sure it would be great on it's own latte form. We ordered: - clasica with churro, whole milk super yummy syrup flavor, hides matcha flavor a bit if you're used to drinking matcha unsweetened. - clasica with mexican vanilla, oat milk so yummy!! 10/10 the vanilla compliments the matcha really well and was the perfect sweetness to us. - clasica, whole milk i didn't get to try this one but the guy who did said it was good lol - clasica, no agave, almond milk i usually drink my matcha unsweetened with milk so i got it as i usually would and it was good, i could tell it was a good quality matcha powder. the owner said they used about 2.5-3g of matcha which i really appreciated knowing, as well as getting to see them traditionally whisk in a chawan with a bamboo chasen The next time I come I will for sure be trying some of the more fun drinks, especially the matchata. The customer service is amazing at Mira Matcha and the shop is really cute. I enjoyed talking to the barista's, but my drinks were okay. I got the mango matcha and the Pina matcha. I think that matcha it's self was lack luster. In my opinion both drinks had amazing purées. The taste for both the pina and mango were solid, although I will say the mango has some of the fibrous strands in the drink. The ratio of ice, milk, puree, and matcha was not the best. The hours are limited but it's very authentic. They actually mix the ceremonial matcha like they do in Japan in front of you. The Pina (Pineapple), Freda (strawberry) and Mango matches all were good. Mango was more subtle while pina and fresh you can taste. For 75 cents you can substitute milk to oat or coconut. It was expensive but I'd probably go maybe once a week or every other week. It's solid and authentic and tastes amazing so can't beat that in San Antonio (and probably Austin, too)! read more
