    Truffles galore
    Amanda G.

After trying their chocolate at the American Dream Mall location, and spending a small fortune, I braved the Manhattan traffic and visited the Lexington Ave loc. I was blown away and bought loads more. I event dropped $62 on an advent calendar for my kiddo. They have different sizes but of course she wanted the largest one. The best part about this location compared to the one st the mall is that you're able to try their limited flavors also. The mall location did not allow tastes of the Dubai chocolate bar.

Stopped by this location and bought a box of truffles. Staff was very friendly and patient. Shop was clean and well stocked. All of the truffles in my assortment ($70) were great. Really rich and creamy. Bought a small FrischSchoggi pouch assortment ($35) last time. Really loved the macadamia one and the fruity ones. Beautiful packaging worthy for gift giving.

This was a tasting visit more than a purchase visit as I didn't buy anything . What we tasted was divine . Chocolate can't go wrong but if it's fine Swiss chocolate that's elevated with nuts , dried rose pistachio cream and the likes it takes on a delectable form . Silky or shud I say velvety richness of the chocolate, nuttiness from the hazelnuts that interludes with the chocolatey goodness makes every bite irresistible. It's a bit pricey that makes you want to think , but once you sink your teeth into another chocolatey bite , it makes your heart melt and pushes you to buy and take home the treat for a relaxed indulgence. Yet I kept my calm and passed on the opportunity to buy this visit as I am watching my sugar intake and didn't want to have this on standby which would make it challenging to resist . Until next time I will wait it out ... but you don't have to .. rush in and go for it ....

This was our second time getting chocolate from this location (the chocolate went so quickly last time, there was barely a chance to get pictures); suffice it to say, they have some fantastic product here, with a great assortment of different artisan chocolates and truffles. Of the options they have available, we picked out some possible favorites: Florentiner--chocolate layered with caramelized almond Florentine, Mixed Fruit White Chocolate--white chocolate embedded with pistachios, almonds and caramelized orange, Hazelnut milk, and their limited edition Pumpkin Spice Milk-Blond--with spices and caramel mixed with caramelized almond-embedded milk chocolate. Last time, we were lucky enough to be able to get their limited edition Dubai milk; this time around, we additionally got a small assortment of pralines and truffles to go with them. Out of the set, the standouts were the hazelnut milk and the pumpkin spice. The former was akin to a smooth Ferrero Rocher bar, perfected with the flavor of higher quality chocolate. The latter was a bit surprising, considering pumpkin spice is usually a middling flavor to me in other products; however, the execution is tastefully done, with the extra spice adding beautifully to the flavor without detracting from the delicateness of the base chocolate's smoothness. This is a place that, in my opinion, is both worth getting excited over and checking out whenever you might be in the area.

I can't thank the people who work here enough for accommodating me . I've been craving for this chocolate but love in the uws and hence this is a hike from my apt . I barely made it and got there at 8pm which is their closing time . I got my hands on my favorite , the hazelnut along with the white chocolate and two other options . They're all delicious!! European chocolates is so much better . It's not cheap but definitely worth every penny . When you walk into the store , you're welcomed by a piece of chocolate to sample . You can choose the pre packaged chocolates or go for the ones on the right which is sold by the pound . Love the ambiance of this place . It's cozy !! I often the pre packaged ones as gifts and they put it in a small cute fancy bag- perfect for a gift , classy and delicious ( not suitable for ones with nut allergies ).

This was a bark sampler I highly recommend!

Everything! And I mean EVERYTHING in this store is absolutely scrumptious!! It is well displayed and looks almost pretty as the chocolates. The service was wonderful and they are happy to answer any questions. I didn't look for a restroom, but I would think they don't have one since it isn't an eat-in kind of place, but would t that be FUN! A chocolate drink, then a small app of a single piece of chocolate bark, then a mix of all the different kinds of chocolate offerings, such as truffles, real fruit bark with white or dark - a whole plate of chocolate. Then, dessert, of course! My dream lunch!! Maybe if they read this they'll expand! Woohoo! The pricing is what stunned me (my pic shows $47 of bark sampler), but after tasting what my son-in-law gave to our daughter- I was hooked and had to have some. It's epic!!

Heavenly chocolate so addictive. Absolutely best I've ever had. I received a gift assortment and couldn't stop eating it. Walked by the shop so many times and was curious now I see what all the fuss is about. Totally worth the cost. There's something for everyone here.

White and strawberry chocolate Valentine's bear

Great small store full of delicious variety of chocolates, I went for Valentine's Day and since the check out line was taking longer than usual the manager offered free samples for all of us who were waiting to pay. It was a very nice gesture. Overall a great experience shopping even thought some products don't have the prices and you will need to ask someone to give it to you. I asked for a paper tissue in my bag as it was a gift and they gave it to me, the quality of the chocolate was great. I got a special white chocolate and strawberry valentines bear $15 and a pack of popcorn covered in milk chocolate for $13 prices vary from $11 to $300 for sets, there are single bars assorted flavors for $7 and you can also make your own truffle boxes and it goes by weight. Definitely not on the cheap side, but not impossible. I highly recommend trying their products but bear in mind that this location doesn't have a seating area, however I don't think it was necessary, we enjoyed the chocolates at home.

Plain Chocolate is definitely delicious! 09/11/20

They have all types of gummy style candies with a large varieties sold by the pound. From chocolates, to sweet & sours, candy bars, assorted flavored soft and hard candies. Life has been a little crazy lately. So, I gave in and placed a delivery order from the Upper Eastside store. I chose the Autumn mix because well, it is fall! The packaging was very cute and was a nice presentation. I also thought the thank you note added a lovely touch. Now, let's get down to the candy! One candy that I see in video reviews (not sure other their name, but they look like skulls) where not in my order. That was a bit of a disappointment. I figure once I go in person, I will try them. I had a really nice mix of both sour and sweet candies. I really enjoyed them. I received some of those soft candies and they were good but, not amazing. I am not a fan of black licorice. There were several types in my bag. That was the major negative about not being able to choose the candy myself. The quantity of candy was larger than I expected.. A yummy experience. I look forward to going to the store and choosing an experiencing with the entire selection.

There is a lot to see, and I did not have the time due to my own schedule. The man who helped us was so very nice and kind. I believe he said he is usually at their Brooklyn shop, but he was helping out in this west side of Manhattan shop. He explained about the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION colorful, rainbow, STAR-SHAPED LOLLIPOPS near the cashier pay area. Please SEE MY PHOTOS. IT'S SUGAR has raised more than $1 MILLION DOLLARS for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, thanks to the people who bought the special lollipops; AND their goal is to raise $2 Million dollars for The Make-a-Wish Foundation. So, if you are near the store, please stop in. Buy a MAKE-A-WISH lollipop. Look around. Enjoy the candy sights you see, and make a purchase. They have Totsie Roll Pops, too!! And so much more, I have to visit again...soon! :) FOR VISITORS TO NYC--you will be near this store if you are in the Columbus Circle area, and the Lincoln Center area. And, it's a nice walk from the theatre district and the Fifth Avenue area, too. NYC is a great WALKING CITY, so, if you are heading out for the day, wear comfortable walking/running shoes, so that you can walk over and visit this shop. And, Thank You to the man from Brooklyn working at the store. Your great customer service made the visit a pleasure!

It's a heat wave and my daughter is at her college orientation. While we wait for her we've been finding creative ways to stay cool. Before heading into the shops at Columbus we headed into its sugar because we're with my 10m old and he likes looking at the lights and bright colors. I picked up a mug called "wake and bake" and asked my husband does it work and how. I then put it down. When exiting an employee in a purple shirt was kind of blocking the door. I thought that was odd but people are weird. She even almost bumped into someone trying to walk in. She then accuses me of stealing the mug. I was confused and said I put it down and continued on my way, but I'm annoyed that a company that I frequented often with my older kids would accuse me of stealing. If you were watching so closely you should have done a better job and watched me place it back down. How outrageously inappropriate it was to try and smile and play with my 10 month old while you were moments away from accusing his mother. As much as my older kids like It's Sugar I'm going to be thinking twice before purchasing anything there ever again. Maybe it's for the best and I should be supporting local businesses. I'm honestly stuck on the fact that they thought a mother pushing her infant child was attempting to steal something so wildly inappropriate.
