I am an individual homeowner and have had the pleasure of working w/Lyon's Landscaping for the past 10+ years. Russ and his team have worked on multiple properties of mine, most recently completing a total 2 acre property overhaul, including fencing, paving, irrigation, extensive plantings of shrubs, plants, and trees, 15,000 sq ft of sod, extensive hardscape, including natural stone walls, patios, walkways, an outdoor kitchen, and fire-pit, both w/stone veneer. Russ and I spent several weeks planning the project, which ultimately would take ~3 months. As always, Russ was the consummate professional, as was his team. Russ and his team were amazing. They designed and built an incredible pool surround including multi-level retaining walls, fire pit, and custom stone work. Every member of his team was hardworking and professional. Russ also helped us navigate several issues that always pop up during a construction project. Great company! Russ and his crew were very professional - made great suggestions and did a fantastic job and were very competitive price wise! We had our old brick steps replaced with granite steps and 3 beautiful walks replaced. I would highly recommend using Lyons Landscaping. We will definitely be using them again! In reference to Rich's review its unfortunate when we pay for a project and we hire it out, doesn't meet our expectations. I think with contractors (landscape) crews when they show up first day there's a hundred decisions to be made right away, maybe the wrong one was made, I wasn't there but he probably didn't want to disturb traffic on main street and had them pull the truck into the yard that he was doing over anyway, not worrying about it, I would have done it the same way. I'm not on Yelp much but saw this review that interested me and had to interject. nothing is worse than a job your paying good money for doesn't quite meet our expectations when complete. However, personally knowing this industry very well, and the company you speak of, all I can tell from your review is that a couple little branches broke off a rhododendron during construction. I can't get my head around something like that would warrant such a bad review for a small landscape company who is out there every single day trying to make a living to support his young family by delivering good service and knowledge in his field to all customers treating them with respect and taking pride in his work...always. Unless there was much more damage that wasn't included in your review Any man who has been around enough should know the impact a review like that can have on him and his company. But as a contractor myself I know the world is full of people that can find fault with almost anything, anytime and thinks everyone should know how you feel. Now personally I used the company you speak of as my very reliable subcontractor for almost 20 years, which is unheard of in this industry. Why so long? Reliable, prepared, eager to do the work the way we want it done and not stopping till everyone's happy. Usually with a smile on his face all day. Knowing Russ (Lyons landscape)as I do I'm sure if you spoke to him about any issues you weren't happy with he would have come to agreement with you to make it right, whether a couple twigs broken off a probably 20 yr old rhody that needed pruning anyway to anything else that wasn't right in your eyes. PLEASE to all- talk with your contractors before cutting them off at the knees and hurting their businesses, livelihoods and families. I mean really think about it a 1 star for a couple small branches off your rhody? Let me guess it was a family heirloom that a bond was formed between you. I think not. My guess is you were trying to get something for free out of him and he stood his ground. Really unbelievable. We're mostly nice guys who want to do right by their customers, so please give us a chance and talk to us first. read more

Alex and his crew re landscaped my entire yard which entailed tree removal, critical grading, underground piping, cement work, irrigation system & new shrubbery and lawn. All work was done on time & budget and in a professional manner. Several people have commented on the "new" look my yard has and I am thoroughly satisfied with the projects outcome.
