The list of failures would cause a doctor to lose their license, but fortunately for Duxbury Gardeners there is no meaningful licensure in Massachusetts. Less than a year in, the stonework separated from spa, a retaining wall failed, 10 plantings died and that was AFTER the construction woes of COLLAPSING the pool company's plumbing, cutting marked underground cables, the fire pit had to be replaced (twice - "it was a known defect", why put in something that is known to be defective???) and most notably running over the septic system line despite having been informed on location (and obviously having plans) - even after being told "you know - that's not a good idea" they asked my wife anticipating that somehow women aren't intelligent. Jason is a nice guy and good crayon drawer but this company is a pure nightmare. Hard to admit making a mistake that cost this amount of money, but hopefully it saves someone else some a bigger headache. This company will leave you with a lot more to clean up than just the cigarette butts they toss on your lawn.

A week earlier, a gardener that works for them, had taken photos of the garden. She said that I had some really nice plants and didn't want the guys to destroy them. They knocked over a large rock display and never put them back. The dug up and moved a few lilies and basically replanted them on top of my hostas. I had to replant them because they didn't have room. They broke off a large piece of a stone step and never told me. They forgot to mulch a small garden. I specifically told them NOT to mow my large lawn, but they went ahead and did it anyway and then charged me for it! The owner had a bad attitude and was rude. I can't believe they are still in business.

The Lebanon fertilizer brand they sell is superior to Scotts and is primarily used by professional landscapers. I personally did not hire JRD for landscaping & tree service but had a bad experience when they…read morewere hired to cut my neighbor's trees. On May 9, 2023, when JRD cut my neighbor's tree, they neglectedly dropped the branches of the trees onto my yard, onto my lilac and hydrangeas. When I first saw that happened, I came talk to the team for them to be mindful that I had several plants in that area and please do not drop broken trees on top of my plants. Noted I was not notified in advance this was happening nor there was my permission at all for all of this to happen on my property. As a result, several of my hydrangeas were broken to over half of their size, and same as the lilac. It is now 1/3 of the size of its twin sister on the other side of my house. I am now questioning my rights on my possessions located inside my own property! I contacted the owner right then and he said would have my plants replaced. Today, over a month after I contacted him, I never had any plant replaced and he did not respond after several follow up.
