Driven by this location many time was pretty surprised by the ease of getting in and getting out as the funeral was promptly after the business day concluded. There were ushers helping us park cars as it was a large gathering from in and out of state that was here to bid farewell to a friend and family. The lot was pretty tight yet served us well as I didn't have to fight for a spot and was heading inside. The staircase leading upstairs from the lot that I had parked was beautiful, though we all were dressed in black attire. Two different rooms for seating and the bigger room held the casket and visitors came to pay their respects. A decently sizes funeral home that some had to squeeze by others while there was still areas for groups to congregate. I imagine that a lot of thought and preparation was put into honoring this man and this funeral home did him justice. Cannot speak to the procession the day after to the cemetery as I couldn't attend but I imagine thar it was well organized and handle the business of the Elmwood West Hartford area.

The family have been calling and calling, they have only gotten 1 call back telling them that they were waiting for the autopsy to be completed. The medical examiner never got the body. This man has been dead a month now. Phalen is not picking up the phone, or answering emails, or texts. The medical examiners office says they received a request to cremate the body 3 weeks ago. The family is at its wits end.

Kim welcomed us into a private space where we could gather our thoughts and discuss every detail without feeling rushed. She has a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and supported during unimaginable circumstances. Throughout the entire planning process, she met us with patience, kindness, and genuine empathy. We later learned that Kim's background as a nurse has clearly shaped the way she cares for families. Her compassion extends far beyond logistics.
