The family have been calling and calling, they have only gotten 1 call back telling them that they were waiting for the autopsy to be completed. The medical examiner never got the body. This man has been dead a month now. Phalen is not picking up the phone, or answering emails, or texts. The medical examiners office says they received a request to cremate the body 3 weeks ago. The family is at its wits end.

The diamond heart pendant was the last gift my mom gave to my grandmother before my mom passed away, and my grandmother wore her mom's wedding band as well as her own, so it was a family heirloom. My grandmother put the diamond necklace on the day of my mom's funeral, and in 20 years she NEVER took it off - not to shower, not to garden in the backyard. So I asked Tim to give her jewelry to me, but he said it was buried with her. After many attempts to retrieve it, Susan finally called me to admit that my gram's jewelry was NOT buried with her, and that she would mail it to me - but she did NOT mail me the diamond heart or the two bands, only a gold chain necklace. So Tim told me what my gram was wearing, but they KEPT IT. I am absolutely heartbroken, because it was so special to my gram and was something my mom bought. Little did we know that they would botch up the services they were suppose to handle professionally and expeditiously. Beware nationally direct cremation ( aka silent cremation) only costs $575 - $1,395. * My 93 year old mother passed away from Dementia and cardio-vascular failure. Sure the body was picked up, but was not cremated for days due to no availability (?) at the crematorium. The ashes were suppose to go to my brother and death certificates to all the siblings. Nothing got sent. We had to call and find out that these items were sitting at the funeral home. We were promised they would go out that day. No ashes arrived. After one month I called Kenny Funeral and they said the delivery of the ashes fell through the cracks. I told the assistant that I wanted a personal apology from Brian Kenny(owner), that the ashes would go out the next day and compensation for his funeral home negligence. Brian did apologized blaming the problem on a family crisis and he would personally mail the ashes and follow up with a compensation offer to our family for his funeral home's ineptitude. Like everything else the compensation was forgotten or intentionally overlooked. A death of our mother was heart wrenching enough, but to have the family go through this agony was despicable.
