First off, THANK YOU Dr. Altaha for keeping me alive all these years. You are the ONLY Dr. on Maui who treats me like a person and not a number or "patient". You always remember who I am and my medical history. (And even if not, he does a good job reading up on the chart prior to walking in and faking it. Lol. Which is still huge!) Because of this your value is immeasurable. He is thorough and caring and doctors like him don't really exist anymore. (Most I go to are overwhelmed, impossible to get in touch with, 6mos out for an appointment and then when you finally get there don't remember you and rush you out. ) Dr. Altaha is the reason I am still here after having hereditary blood clotting issues. His office staff called back and said Dr. Kepler said he will not see her. She had no idea he fired her as a patient. She is upset... just what a cancer patient needs. "Do no harm." He has done harm to her emotionally and mentally. Dr. Kepler has no sensitivity. None. My heart broke when my sister told me this recent event. She always thought she could count on him for his support. I am appalled and disappointed. He just doesn't care about his patients holistically.
