He gave me his personal mobile number in case I had problems. My lower jaw was quite inflamed and infected before I went to see him on Singh Street. I was referred to him by my normal family dentist as he was apparently a Dental Surgeon. You can just imagine what that conjured up in my mind. I can't say I was looking forward to it. Dr John Dermody is a gentle giant and was very caring towards me and did a great job. He brought me back on three occasions to check his work and ensure I was alright. Many thanks Jeremy Russell

Wow, for the first time in years I actually had a pleasant experience in a dentists. From the…read moremoment I rang to make an appt. to have a broken tooth repaired I felt a sense of ease and confidence I was going to be in safe hands. On arrival I was offered a glass of water and promptly at 7.15 (time of appt) I was shown into the dentists cubicle. This is a new experience to me who have had nightmare waits in dentists surgeries in the past. What professionalism, what lovely manners, what could've been a nightmare turned into a lovely experience CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN too Prices are reasonable and available on their website. With branches around Dublin there is always an appt. relatively quickly. 45 mins later I walked out having had a full X ray of my teeth, a full examination and a tooth repaired with what has to be the least painful experience I've had at the hands of a dentist. A follow up call from Smiles today confirms my confidence in giving this establishment TOP MARKS. I will be back.

Got a phone all at 9.15 last night booking me in for this morning and received another call this morning saying they could actually fit me in even earlier! Amazing service, and a very patient dentist (v nervous of needles etc). Wish I lived in Navan so I could attend this surgery!

This office was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! First impressions mean everything; so, as soon as I entered the building I was pleased to see how clean and attractive it was. The office itself, although at basement level, was even more inviting. I was seated in a really nice waiting room with several comfortable brown leather chairs. And, I was offered a cup of tea while I waited. I saw the Hygienist (Ms. Francis) and she was awesome - incredibly thorough! She got me back in working order so I can show off my pearly whites to the world again :) She also gave me lots of feedback and information regarding caring for my teeth. The Dentist (Dr. Quinlan) saw me briefly after my cleaning was completed, a no-nonsense, yet quick and thorough, check followed by a seal of approval. Before I departed, I utilized their restroom which was so lovely I almost set up camp there...! A clean, comfortable, and attractive facility - especially for dental work - is important to me. A good dentist is worth going the extra mile for!…read more A friend's tip directed me over the river and up the hill to this family business, presided over by a father-and-daughter dentist pair. They've repurposed a Georgian house with bedrooms turning into exam rooms and a waiting room. On top of finding and fixing problems that other dentists overlooked, they're both just plain nice, with a long memory for patients and a feeling that you're really giving patronage to a small business. A further plus: prices are leaps and bounds lower than competitors. I trust my teeth to the O'Loughlins and you should too. The setup's a bit weird: get buzzed in the front door and you're directed via speaker into the waiting room, then later called into the reception area upstairs when they're ready for you. But sure that's how the house came to them, so that's what they did with it.

I will not name names but their site and marketing approach seems more important than their ability to work in their chosen profession. In the SCR clinic you will always get the same dentist or dental hygienist if you are a patient. I'm quite a nervous patient and had a wisdom tooth extracted and two fillings plus a cleaning with the absolute minimum of pain. I would rate them as 5 stars or if grading them would give them an A( in other words greater than 85 percent -"good"). They are a ,"top drawer establishment ", and would tell anyone who is a nervous patient or has had a bad experience in the past that this is where to go. 5 stars. You will not get better easily and everyone who I spoke to while waiting had only good words to speak of them.
