Moved to MP 2 years ago. Love everything about Lyerly's with the exception of how they treat French cuff shirts. For the last 6 months or so, someone has started ironing the cuffs incorrectly. I have requested several times for them to remedy it, but I keep getting them ironed wrong. It's not a difficult request, but their people won't accommodate this simple request. I have too many french cuff shirts for this. May have to look for another cleaner's. I easily take them20-30 garments per month. read more

Steer clear of this mismanaged establishment!! I dropped clothes off on a Monday 9/1. The clothes were needed for a business trip leaving CHS on Saturday 9/6. Prior to opting for normal pick-up, I asked if they would be ready before the weekend--several times. The woman assured me it would be ready Friday 9/5. On Friday, I stopped to pick up everything for my trip the next day at 5:30 pm. Just one piece of clothing from the bundle was ready. To make things worse, they couldn't give me the unclean clothes since they launder offsite. I attempted to call the owner at several different locations and left a voicemail at the Mt. Pleasant location. My hope was getting the clothes back in order to launder at the hotel. AFTER the business conference and once back in town on 9/12, I stopped to get the rest of my clothes. Never received a call from the owner, nor did they discount the bill in attempts to make things right. read more

Not a good experience. We had been using Coastal Carolina for 3.5 years and never had a issue. Plus our dress shirts look like new every time we picked them up. Started using Lylers as the shop is closer to our new home. Not even weeks into our experience I first noticed our dress shirts looked drab and the press was undetectable. Then one of my white casual shirts returned brown. I had to take it back 3 times before they finally got the stains out that were caused by their press pad not being changed? Like that's my fault? No credit for my time or the wear and tear to my shirt. Not good business practices. Heading right back to Coastal. read more

They had my shirts for entire week and said they would be ready by the next wed...went in on Th and they still were not ready! They were not even apologetic...they said they had a huge laundry week. I'm not sure why that is my problem...don't quote when to pickup and then complain you have too much laundry and that is why it's not ready. Poor way to do business. Will not go back. They don't even deserve 1 star read more

They advertise in by 9 and out by 5, but certainly do not follow through on that promise! I dropped off some dry cleaning Monday afternoon around 2pm and went back on Wednesday afternoon to pick them up and was told they wouldn't be ready until 5. Why does it take 2 days to launder a couple shirts!!? Beyond me. Not to mention the staff was not friendly, unhelpful and not even sure what I'll be getting when I pick it up. Will update after. read more

The best cleaners in greater Charleston and here is why: Perfect dry cleaning every time Remarkably affordable pricing The friendliest and most customer focused staff you could ever ask for - these guys really go out of their way to make sure you are happy! *Particularly important if you are new to the area - Since moving here two years ago I've come to a conclusion that I've discovered many other newcomers have as well..for the most part Charleston has only two types of cleaners: expensive cleaners and bad cleaners. The one exception is this location, where you are able to get the best quality cleaning at an affordable rate. No other cleaners matches Lyerly's in this regard. I'm pretty finicky when it comes to dry cleaners; don't trouble yourself with going through the same pains that I did. I must have gone to about 4 different locations in two years until I found this place. Go to Lyerly's, you won't regret it and I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Terrible. They lost most of my clothes and completely lied about same day service. I'll never go again. Horrendous customer service, too!

Terrible. One week to turn around clothes and they come back with more spots than when I dropped them off, and it is the most expensive dry cleaner I have ever used. read more

Extremely DISAPPOINTED, how is this place still in business?! I went to pick up 5 women's pieces for a total of 76$!!! The women went on to explain to me that womens shirts are cleaned with different equipment than men's shirts. Please tell me why a long sleeve button up women's shirt is cleaned in a machine that is 4x the price than the machine that they use for a men's shirt that is the EXACT same fabric! 5 men's shirts that were RUSHED=11$, 5 women's=76$. This place is absolutely ridiculous, she went on to explain that the 76$ was after 10% off for being a new customer. Get real, no wonder prices aren't advertised, unfortunately the last time the man can drop off dry cleaning for me :/ To add fuel to the fire after getting home to look at the items one of my white dresses is completely trash, there is a note on the hanger that they couldn't clean it any further without discoloring the fabric, maybe you shouldn't have charged me 20$ to put a note on it that you couldn't do your job. It's white... Let's see how bleach works. read more

If you're ready to change your dry cleaning provider, go no further than Lyerly's. They do nice work, they deliver at no additional charge and they take great care of their longstanding customers. Recently we were ready to buy a new area rug when I called Kasie about trying one more cleaning to see if we could extend the life of the rug. Kasie listened closely, asked a couple key questions and offered to clean it and see if it would brighten for continued use. She did as offered, we found it would indeed presentable again, and they delivered it along with the regular drop off. Prices are always reasonable and I've found their team members to be reasonable and polite as well. read more

I took 12 items and it cost me $107...ABSURD. Not to mention, they ruined the buttons on one of my sweaters and stretched the sweater. For over $100 on 12 items, you better have my clothes sparkling like diamonds, not stretched out with two broken buttons and one missing completely. TERRIBLE dry cleaning service. Will NEVER go back here EVER. read more

So thankful for these guys. I had a suit my boyfriend waited to have cleaned on Monday morning for an event he needed it for Wednesday. This was the only cleaner that took the rush order! read more

"DO NOT GO THERE" was the response I received from a friend when I told them I had. gone to the dry cleaners near where they lived. I dropped my order off by 7:30am and the clerk said Wednesday at 5. I told her I needed them back by 5 that day. That is what they advertise. She said they had 8 other locations. She gave me my receipt for a 5pm pick for the same day. When I went to pick up they weren't there. The gentleman tried to give me his number which I didn't need, I needed my dry cleaning order. Upon looking at my receipt it had Isle of Palms on it. I dropped my order off at the Anna Knapp location. The gentleman called me the next morning to say my order was there but that did me no good as I needed them earlier. When I did go to pick them up the clerk wasn't friendly. I asked for a discount seeing as how it wasn't on time as promised he gave a $2 discount. As I was leaving he kept mumbling under his breath. When I stopped to ask if he was speaking to me he threw up his hand and said goodbye. My friend was right on with her statement. Will not be doing business with this dry cleaners. read more

This dry cleaner is the most unprofessional, inept operation I have ever used. My father in law gave them my clothes early Friday AM for same day service. He stressed that I needed the shirts back before I flew out for a business trip. They promised the shirts would be back by 5PM the same day. When I went to pick them up, they said that the shirts weren't back yet. They promised they would be ready by noon on Saturday. Noon came by and went and I called and they still didn't have them. I had offered to drive to the central plant in North Charleston to pick up them - ready or not. Richard - the clerk at this location - was as incompetent a dinasour as I have ever worked with. He was completely unapologetic. I called other locations - one of which told me that the same day service they offer is a complete SHAM - the owner askes the employees to push specials even though they cant necessarily fulfill them. I eventually went into the store after they told me they had my shirts. I go in and they only had one shirt of my four shirts. Only one of them. I asked about the other three shirts and they said they didn't know where they were. Richard refused to give the number of his manager. Throughout the whole ordeal, no one took any responsibility. Now, the dry cleaner said they will reimburse me for new shirts and the price of shipping my lost shirts when they find them. Let's see if they are capable of keeping that promise. If they follow through, I'll adjust this review. In the meantime, AVOID LYERLYS read more

Let me preface this by saying that I never leave Yelp reviews. Lyerly's is absolutely the worst dry cleaning establishment I have ever exchanged currency with. I have had three sport coats ruined/ damaged by this company. One jacket ended up with a bleach stain on the lapel, another lost a button, and the third came back with a button hanging by a thread - and was a day late after ordering overnight cleaning. I previously worked in men's clothing for four years and went to a dry cleaner regularly with no delays or damages. After the first two incidents, which I didn't notice until the garments were home, I checked my most recent coat at the front counter. When I asked the front desk, he said they could send it back to the factory and have the button sewn on tighter. After the coat was already a day late, they should have had time to fully reattach the button they pulled off. (The fact that that happened at all is ridiculous.) I know it seems like Lyerly's is everywhere in Charleston, but please, please find another dry cleaner! read more

DO NOT USE! First off, they are more expensive than any other of the numerous dry cleaners in Mount Pleasant and the greater Charleston area, and the entire United States for that matter. Second, they put permanenant bar codes on your clothing, that if removed leave permanent marks. They also lost a pair of pants, which is beyond me since they barcode everything and they destroyed a jacket. This was all on my first and only visit to them, all of which they have still yet to reimburse me for. I have spoke with others in the area about my experience and they immediately know which dry cleaner I'm talking about because they have had similar experiences. Lyerlys is the definition of being taken to the cleaners, be forewarned. read more

I don't even want to give this place one star. Everything about this place is a disappointment. I dropped off 4 items which included 2 dresses and 2 tops. It was 7 days before they would be ready to pick up. Luckily I dropped them off early enough. So I went in to pick up my order, and I inspected my clothing to check for cleanliness and wrinkles. I think everyone knows that the main service proved by cleaners is to clean and press articles of clothing amongst a few other things. One of the dresses I noticed looked like it had been in a ball sitting in the corner. I believe it had more wrinkles than when I gave it to them. One of the tops had 2 long creases down the center all the way across the front. The other top had green stains blotted all over the back of the shirt. Mind you, this was a $150 top, that is now ruined! The second dress was still dirty. So, the gentleman took everything back and still proceeded to charge me, $52! Absolutely ridiculous! By the way, this is my first yelp review. read more
