I am new to the Island, there are several places to go, I was lead somehow to Lyco's 2. I walked in and immediately felt the cool island vibe. I had a nice pedicure and full set. I felt comfortable, the salon was clean and the couple was very friendly. I am actually going back today for a refill and another pedicure. Trish and Christian are a great young couple. So I'll start by saying I travel frequently for work and have been to MANY different nail salons and have pretty high standards for quality and cleanliness. With that being said...this is one of the worst places I have been to. I went a total of two times which is my own fault because I should have never returned after the first visit. However, there aren't many nail salons on the island and the one next door was not great either. Over the two trips here are the issues I encountered.... 1. Head lady was very rude! She even told the girl getting a pedi next to me that her eyebrows looked fake and were the wrong color. Who says that to a customer? She was trying to convince the customer to come to her salon to get her eyebrows done but that is not the way to do it. 2. Very unsanitary. I was glad to see that they had individually wrapped nail kits. Except they don't actually use them. They have them in a basket with an already opened pack which they seem to reuse. I witnessed it in the almost 2 hrs I was there. The man also wears gloves....which is nice except he reuses the same pair. Disgusting. 3. When it came time to get the manicure the lady left the pedicure kit in the basket and had new pack in the drawer...except it was already opened? When asked she says she always prepares it for the next customer. Not falling for it. Customers always want to see a new kit opened in front of them. 4. I always get a gel manicure and the quality at this salon was awful! Looks like a child did it. Check out the actual photos. I didn't have time for her to fix them, plus I was anxious to leave but I was so embarrassed running errands after bc they looked so awful and cheap. 5. For my pedicure they used the toe separators, they cheap "disposable" ones. During my manicure she took them off me and put them back in the drawer. In the drawer there were several individually wrapped new ones, however they keep reusing them for different customers. Just gross. They also took the toe separators and disposable flip flips off another lady and put them back in the drawer for reuse as well. How are other people ok with this!? It's not like they cleaned them between customers. 6. On several different occasions I politely questioned their practices, such as "that nail kit was already opened when I sat down...is it new?" Rather than just say yes or no they became very defensive and even more rude. This lead me to believe that they were guilty and just trying to hide their wrong doing. All in all there may not be many nail salons in the island but it's worth it to take the drive. This place cuts too many corners and I'm not risking catching some kind of fungus or infection. I absolutely loved my first experience with Trish! I had a pedi/mani and know I will be back many more times. I normally want to be on my laptop while having a pedicure, but Trish was so fun to chat with that I shit my laptop and enjoyed making a new friend. Worst gel nail job ever! They are super thick, filed completely uneven, nails on left hand longer then right, some nails are filed completely crooked. I went in for French manicure with the gel and some of the edges are spotted the white didn't even go down all the way. Left the underneath of my nails globed with gel. Not sanitary at all, after soaking my nails in polish remover and then scraping them and putting my hands back in the polish remover she proceeds to pour the used polish remover back into the bottle and the tool she used to clean my cuticles she just put back into the drawer when she was done. Not to mention she charged me $35 when everywhere else is between $25-$28 and does a way better job. I will never stray from Lee nails again, they are out of my way but ten times better. They are absolutely amazing! They are professional, clean, and the customer service is amazing. I live in kingsville and travel over an hour to go to this place because they give the best pedicures. I got a toe infection from a different place that I went to out of convenience and they fixed the disaster for no extra charge. Also the waxing is precise and painless. If you call ahead they will tell you how busy they are and when the best time to come is so that you don't have to wait. read more

Great shellac mani and pedi. I paid $70 including tip. They are to to acknowledge and accommodate you, and take all walk ins. The facility is a bit dated but oh well read more

Not impressed. Paid 40 dollars for a pedi, didn't know they were going to charge to take the shellac off my toes (didn't say that there was a $5 take off fee). Normally I wouldn't think it a big deal but I didn't hear anything about it until we were done. No fresh/sanitary equipment was used, seriously gross. I didn't realize this until after my friend pointed it out and by then we were halfway done. No liner in the bowl so there a possibility to get foot fungus. I travel to Corpus Christi often but there is no way I'll come back here! If I could give no stars I would. read more

My nails look great. Had a gel manicure and pedicure. Hope they'll last as long as promised. This is a friendly place with typical prices (I don't know why it has 3 dollar signs). I feel I lucked out since I'm on vacation. Almost didn't come because of previous low ratings. Like I said--hope it lasts. read more

I like this little place decorated like a surf, island shop....very appropriate for the location. It is family owned and run with extreme pride and conscientiousness. I have been there 3 times since Oct and they are always extremely friendly and professional. I am from Vancouver, Canada and have been to many small nail establishments and this one is a top place for a small establishment. They recently hired 2 new people and quickly fired one as she did not meet their standards. The prices are competitive and fair. This is not a large fancy spa in an expensive hotel but an Island business with a cute personality. I will continue to have my manicures and pedicures there as I feel it's is safe and they basically do a lovely job. People should remember that they can not change chicken toes into Cinderella feet! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I do shellac on my toes and prefer the polish to be soaked off rather than using the grinding tool because I think that it damages my nails and it hurts. I told the technician this. She applied the soaking solution for about 40 seconds and went back to grinding and picking and pulling the polish off by hand. I asked her to stop and she LOST IT. Told me how rude I was and that she had been doing nails for 7 years etc etc.. Demanded that I pay for services rendered (scraping polish off of two nails) and threatening to call the police. Then she LOCKED ME INSIDE the facility while screaming at her boyfriend and myself about calling the police. Then she told me that she would take my picture and send it to every nail salon in town as being a thief and that I would never be able to get my nails done again.. The boyfriend ended up letting me out.. It's crazytown over there.. dont go. read more

Had no problems with this place. I thought the people were attentive, took suggestions and my requests well. I had certain way I wanted my nails done and they accommodated me. Good facial also. Would recommend. Only went to them three times as I was here on business. read more

All of the staff here are just fabulous. I've never left disappointed. They take walk in customers just as easily as those with appointments and have always been very accommodating. read more
