Thankfully the hosts were kind to order us a fresh batch and we packed it for to go. Our fave dish was the okoy and pasta! We came in on a weekday and there were 7 of us! Beautiful restaurant!

My friend and I have had The Souq on our foodie bucket list for a long time. The sign was small and we almost passed it. What caught my eye was the building blanketed in vines, yeah, I like plants. We parked in front and walked through the entrance into a large room with a very high ceiling. The best way I could describe the place is that it's something between a conservatory and barn with antique furnishings. The low lighting and candles gave the dining area a cozy feeling. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are many servers, that are all willing to help you with your needs. The table for two is tiny, so I had to ask for an extra chair to rest our purses on, to make room for our food. WE SHARED: - Mango shake was thick and sweet. - Sicilian salad with mango, grapes and candied nuts. We don't know what made this salad Sicilian, but it was tasty nonetheless. - Aglio Olio pasta with olive oil, garlic and shrimp was good After our meal the staff gave us the freedom to roam the grounds. On the second floor is the Hamanda Hotel, a boutique hotel owned by a Swede who happens to be an interior designer. We enjoyed our lovely lunch at The Souq: good food, decent prices and nice ambiance.
