The place is airconditioned which is good but, don't be discouraged by the wooden benches, plastic chairs, concrete slab floor and the usual patrons: government officials, cockfight aficionados, gamblers, businessmen, jeepney drivers and the local police. The food, which is what you came for should be your only concern. Take your 500 bucks (about 10 US Dollars) and order any or all of the following: rice, chicharon bulaklak, stuffed fried frog, pako fern salad, tomatoes and salted duck eggs, lechon kawali, bulalo, tocinong kalabaw, beef barbecue, kamaro roasted grasshoppers, sisig, beef morcon, pampanga sweet longganisa, crab omelet, stuffed crab, frog's legs, fermented buro, camaron rebosado, crispy tempura kangkong leaves and beef mechado. Wash it all down with soda or beer and order the halo halo. You should have enough leftover for bus fare home, but you'll be back a couple of times.

A simple garnish of cabbage, pechay and potatoes made the soup a blend of complementary flavors. We were a bit disappointed with the adobong palaka (frog legs). It was bland.
