Anyways, during my childhood years, me and my family would always frequent this store for grocery shopping. This is like the Filipino equivalent to a Wal Mart or a Target here in the US. It looks nice and clean inside for Filipino standards but with the Philippines being a third world country and all, this store is poorly maintained What I mean is, there were numerous incidents where I saw cockraches CONSTANTLY. I'm not scared of snakes or spiders but cockroaches scare the living shit out of me. I remember just shopping with my grandma for groceries and then a swarm of cockroaches came running out of nowhere. That seriously traumatized me. If that shit happened in the US, that business would close down But Royal is still here after SO MANY years. They've remodeled it a bit but it still does what it does, sell groceries and house hold goods.

I'm so glad I did because the was very good and cooked the way I wanted. We also ordered kare kare and boy, it was one of the best I've ever tasted. Even their bagoong was home made.
