Finding a good nail salon is so difficult. My current visit went started off great. My technician…read moredid an excellent job on my nails and selected a beautiful new color that is perfect for the summer. My plan was to also get a pedicure. I was directed to wait in a chair for the next technician. While waiting an older man named Vincent walked over and told me I would have wait for a long time. "At least 30 mins because these people have appointments..."I had to ask him to repeat himself a few times because his English was not great and his mask also made it hard to understand. He yelled "wait 30 mins"! His coworker, the male tech that did my nails stood up to intervene and correct him. He was totally out of order. So, I waited. He walked over to a young girl (teenager) waiting. She had the same issue and she could not understand him. Frustrated, Vincent leaned into her face and yelled, "WAIT!" So of course, I remained seated but I spoke up, looked him directly in the eye and said, "you are extremely rude." He got livid! And, went on a loud, cowardly rant stating I should not interfere because he wasn't talking to me, ending with "if you don't like it, get out of here!" Bless his heart. The young girl nervously laughed and mentioned to me in a soft voice that she knows him because he's a friend of the family. I didn't leave. I let them know I would skip the pedicure--just finish the polish. I remained calm and a few minutes later, a lady came over and finished my polish. Here's the deal. When you see something wrong, you have to speak up. That young girl may not realize that it is totally unacceptable to let a grown man (in public or in private) lean over and aggressively yell in your face. It's completely uncalled for. Any respectable man or woman who witnesses something like that has a duty to speak up. It's as simple as that.

It was like they did not want to work and honestly being new in the area I would say stay away from this place because it is obvious the work I saw from these two dudes was pretty much a no return service for me. I already had chrome gel and glitter and asked her if she could do something similar. She did exactly that with no problem. She found me a pretty purple chrome and iridescent bluish glitter. Had a really nice conversation with Quyn also, she is a very kind person. It is a very tidy and spacious salon. I personally only get old fashioned regular nail polish, so let me talk about that: First of all, every nail tech here does a great job. I think that speaks to Tran's high quality standards. They use the strongest top coats available (the black bottle OPI and Seche Vite - if you know, you know!). For regular polish, they have a ton of colors from good brands, but I personally stick to OPI and Essie. They also offer elaborate nail art, but I'm more traditional. My regular hand polish lasts about 10 days here (other salons usually only last 3-4 days for me), and my real nails are so strong now that they don't flex when I push down on them. As for toenail polish, it would probably last forever, but the pedicures are so relaxing that I can't stay away long enough to find out! Every now and then the volcano spa lavender pedicures are absolutely worth the splurge. Also, a side note, I personally have very sensitive cuticle skin that bleeds easily at every salon I've ever been to. I just thought it was what it was. One day Tran told me to just let the nail tech know ahead of time and voila! I never have had it happen again. Rarely, there is a bit of a language barrier, if you have any special request whip out google translate on your phone and you're good as gold.
