The majority of the drivers are very nice and all of them have been great/safe drivers. I've been using Groome for at least 6 years. The only thing that bugs me is their cancellation policy. If your flight is delayed or cancelled, they don't refund you or give you a credit if that cancellation is less than 24 hrs before your scheduled van time. That's crazy! Especially with the airline industry having to cancel flights so much lately. I wish Groome would provide a credit for a later van time. You can add yourself to the list at the shuttle pick up instead of booking online to avoid the possibility of a cancel/delay but then you're risking it if there's no seats available. Overall, I love the convenience of Groome and all the trips they've saved my parents/friends from having to drive.

However, caution to any customers of size (larger than 200lbs or taller than 5'6") Their vans are NOT built for larger passengers. The seats are small and the rows are very close together. Our shuttle was packed full and we could hardly move. My legs were numb after being smashed into the back of seat in front of me for the entire 90 minute drive and my partner (who is skinny but very tall) hardly fit in his seat and his legs didn't fit in between the seats and ended up with a bruise on his legs from having to sit on the seatbelt buckle the whole trip. All that to say, keep that in mind when deciding to use them but I would still use them again if needed.

My boyfriend dropped me off in the morning for my 7 am shuttle pickup. I was dropped off at the main office in Columbus. The office is small but has seating and restrooms. They are opened 24/7 and the staff is nice and friendly. The ride to the airport is a direct trip from the office. There are no in-between stops which is great! Some of the drivers are sociable while others just drive and that's ok. It was also easy to find them on my return trip. Once you walk out the arrivals you will see them waiting across the street. Booking can be done online or by phone. They have different pick up locations. If you can't get on the military base for pick up, schedule for the main office. Happy Travels!

I called and arranged a pickup for a short trip, probably $10-$20 ride, and the driver told me she was on the way to get me, then way after the estimated time of arrival, I called several times to see what's up and got no answer. Had a friend call (from a different phone so she didn't recognize the #) to act like he needed a taxi from the same place and she said she was on her way to the Atlanta airport and wouldn't be available for couple hours and no, sorry there were no other drivers that night. WHAT? Gee thanks. Not fun to be stood up or left waiting for a ride that's never gonna show!! I think this business is misclassified. It's more of a shuttle service than a taxi. If you just need a ride around town, you'd be better off calling one of the other taxi companies.
