This place is clean and inexpensive and close to a few fast foods. The people are very friendly. I would stay here again

And then you notice thr small lack of attention to details. Upon entering our room, we see a pile of cleaning clothes sitting on an end table. We took a look around to be sure the room was clean. The bed was made in a rush, but the bathroom looks clean and things are in place so we figured the housekeeper was rushed and forgot them. The bed is comfortable although the sheets are 'pilled'. Pillows are mid-dense (not flat, not lofty). The light comforter is nice. Two sets of towels are thick and sturdy. Single use Dove products. Breakfast was very lack luster. Coffee was *always out - like seriously that vacuum pump dispenser could not have been full. Even the new coffee was at best, tepid. Besides bread and a few mini-muffins there were 4 bagels and the one I selected was literally stale-hard. Can't eat that. The sausage patties were 'slimy', scrambled eggs, well you know how those are. The gentleman in charge of breakfast was in the lobby surfing his phone. Guests had to find him and ask for things. That's not OK. We asked for a possible late check-out so we could use their guest laundry. Clothes were in the machine when housekeeping knocked on our door. When we said we would be there for a while the staff spent a good deal of time holding a conversation yelling down the hall to one another. Half hour later, another knock, we are still in room, another yelled conversation in the hall. Classy. We are obviously ruining their schedule. Guest laundry is on the ground floor near the pool. Use your credit or debit card to pay. Two dollars per wash (~30 min) and two dollars per dry (~45 min). Use the high heat setting to be sure they are fully dry. The laundry room and machines were in good condition. Ice machine is also on the ground floor near the pool. We checked out a few minutes past checkout time - partially because we were in line waiting our turn. There seems to be a deep apathy among the staff here. They are doing less than the bare minimum and I wonder about hotel managements part in this lack of pride in their work. The hotel is very nice. The price reasonable. Staff lackluster.

My daughters softball team…read morestayed here when in town, here's what we dealt with: - Very rude and unprofessional staff. We had a reservation for a couple of months and when we arrived to check in, the employee said "we'll let me see if we even have a room for you." Someone called the lobby to report that their TV wasn't working and she put the call on speaker and basically told her "you'll have a better chance of fixing it than me but try this". Then the customer called back saying she fixed it and when the employee hung up, she proceeded to make fun of the customer to me. - One family in our team initially got a room that was a construction zone - one found vapes under the couch - Our AC never cooled our room despite it being on the lowest setting - the elevator didn't work for the first 2 days. My husband had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Staff told us it was probably just overheated - the lady at the breakfast area was also very rude. Stood over our shoulder snapping at us to close the fridge (while still getting food from it), throw away our trash (before we even had a chance to do it our self). - the pool smelled like dirty water - They ran out of towels every single day, both room towels and pool towels - one family came home at the end of the day to find their room open with the lock turned to block it from closing all the way. Not done by the family These are just the ones I can think of now. To say we will never stay there again is an understatement!

The continental breakfast is almost non-existent (cereal & muffins), and anything more like a breakfast sandwich or a soda, you'll have to pay for at the front desk. I've NEVER paid above $62.00 (inc taxes) for a room. Actually closer to $50.00 w/ taxes if you use the coupons in the relatively ubiquitous hotel coupon guides available at travel stops all over the place. Since I have Choice Rewards, I book online and forget about the coupons at times. Oops. The staff seems to be members of the owner's family, but they've always taken care of me quickly enough and do work with you if you want to change rooms or have other concerns. For the most part, the rooms have been a bit dated in the past, but are generally fairly clean. Have only seen a spider crawling on the wall once and I didn't feel the need to flip out. The bathrooms are fairly tiny, and some of the rooms may have an overabundance of cleaner fluid in the air from when the maids were in. Those are about the only negatives I can think of. At some point between 2012-2013 they did update the rooms to a point, so the drawers, desk, entertainment stand & TV (w/ channels in HD) are new, as is the carpeting. The bedding seems to be the same as before but that's ok. After staying at this place fairly consistently over the years, I haven't found a reason to change my mind. If you're on a budget, you should definitely consider this place.
