I take my Lexus SC 430 there regularly. I have had a good experience with excellent service with great quality and communication. The value of the service is quite reasonable. I go back there over and over again. read more

Steve and Peter are great people to ask about car issues. They are not selfish in providing info and their opinions. They are fast and reliable. A little expensive on the labor. read more

We were lucky to learn about this shop from a family member. Our first interaction was when I called to get new brakes on a hybrid with 60,000 miles because I thought they might be due. This would have been an easy payday for them, but instead they were honest and told me the brakes were fine and would last much longer. All repairs and maintenance on our two cars over many years have been very fairly priced and without pressure or upselling. We always appreciate their insight and quality work. We are relieved to know that our cars are in good hands! read more

Peter stated and noted on an invoice an estimate for a repair would cost 620 dollars in labor and between 1-2 hundred for parts. Left there paying 1370 dollars. Almost double the original estimate. Labor cost went from 620 to 1140. I understand estimates aren't exact but they shouldn't be that far off. Things like this undermine the integrity of the repair shop. I was really looking forward to finding a honest repair shop but came away disappointed. 4-2-24 read more

If you're looking for an honest mechanic than your search can stop now. Steve has been working on all of my cars for well over a decade. His specialty is for Toyota and Lexus from his years as a dealer tech, however I have seen him service everything from Japanese hybrids to American muscle cars. Over the years I have referred everybody from my closest friends to my parents and have never wondered if they would be treated right. read more

Thanks for replacing the ball joints on my mom's Lexus. They were easy to work with and took care of the problem.

My husband and I have been taking our Lexus car to this shop for years and we have ALWAYS been so pleased with their professionalism, honesty, knowledge, expertise in diagnosing and fixing my car, great prices, and great overall service. As a woman, I have always been treated with respect and Peter who serves at the front desk has always taken the time to answer and explain my questions clearly. Whenever Steve works on my car, I drive away with great confidence knowing that it has been serviced by the very best! This car shop is the best in town and I highly recommend it!! read more

My wife and I live in La Mesa. She drives a 2018 Lexus NX 300. I drive a 2011 Lexus RX 350 (and a 2006 Jeep Wrangler). She needed to have her car serviced (oil change, tire rotation, routine inspection, etc.). We do not have a "regular" auto repair place, so a friend suggested Luxury Import. We dropped her car off today and they did exactly as requested. They were timely, courteous, friendly, competent, professional and the charges were very reasonable. My 2011 Lexus needs service and I will definitely take it there, as I will my 2006 Jeep. What a find - a local auto repair with a great reputation!! Highly recommended!! read more

I've been going to see Steve over the years. I have a 2007 Lexus GX470, he has helped me keep my 13 year old car in great condition! I've had a few emergencies and every time I call Peter will answer and always get me in! They are professional and knowledgeable plus both so friendly!!! I highly recommend them! read more

I brought my SC430 here for the 2nd time for some outside the box work. We swapped a LSD from a JDM Aristo into a SC430 amongst other things. Their attention to detail and commitment to finding a solution to problems that arise on an uncommon install like this are hard to find. They even caught that the fluid I had mistakenly bought wasn't correct for the differential. In addition, their communication and customer service are the best of any shop I've worked with. read more

We've been very happy with Stefano's and have been taking our 2012 Lexus CT200h there for all of its required maintenance. They don't try to convince you to agree to additional work you really don't need and their prices are reasonable, especially compared to the dealer. We are very disappointed in Lexus that a steering component wore out and loosened up (intermediate shaft), something that simply should not have happened if Toyota/Lexus had specified the correct metal alloys and used high strength hardware. We have never had a problem like this with any other cars and we're not happy that we had to deal with something like this after "upgrading" to a Lexus. This is such a prevalent issue in certain Toyota and Lexus cars that repair shops have been stocking the part, yet Lexus won't admit anything or take responsibility for this obvious defect that deserves a recall notice. In our experience, Honda and Subaru have been much more trustworthy. Stefano's cost to do the shaft replacement was less than the dealership, which should come as no surprise. We won't be buying any more Lexus cars, but we'll continue to take our other cars to Stefano's. They've earned it. read more

Was in and out with ease. They take care you and treat you like family. Very professional and honest shop. I will always return and recommend all my friends and family. read more

While Steve may specialize in luxury imports, don't let that scare you off. We brought our F-150 to him and he did a great job diagnosing and fixing the problems that another mechanic had created. The work was completed in a very timely manner and at a fraction of what a dealer would have charged. We all dread getting our vehicles fixed but Steve took the worries out of the process. He is honest and fair. This world could use more business owners like him. Plus my wife is elated to have the truck back to how it should be. And that makes me happy. read more

Like most people my car is my lifeline. So when it malfunctioned on 805 during rush hour I was terrified. My car had stopped working completely and would not start again. My friend had used Luxury import care and he suggested we have the car towed there. So we had the car towed there after hours. I was able to contact Peter with my information and why my car was in their parking lot. My car is a Chevy Camaro and I was worried that they wouldn't work on it because it wasn't an import. Not a problem at all don't let the name fool you they work on many different makes of vehicles. Peter got back to me the next day with their findIngs and an estimate on fixing it. The estimate was very costly so I wanted to see what my options were. Luxury import was amazing about it. They took care of my car for a little over a week and and worked with me every step of the way. Communication from them was excellent. The labor is extremely fair and my car was in excellent hands. I recommend Luxury import to anyone who is looking for a excellent mechanic, fair price and excellent customer service. read more

I just found Peter and his brother Steve at Luxury Import Care... For Lexus owners tired of paying $1 less for repairs by an ex-Lexus dealer tech, they are a breath of fresh air! Honest, knowledgeable and priced competitively relative to others in the market. They are my new Lexus technicians as I've decided to retire my previous mechanics. I'll be calling them next week to address another issue on my LS430. read more

Seriously the best place to bring your car for all repair needs. Recently, the Lexus dealership wanted $1,300.00 worth of repairs. I took the car in for a recall. I felt they were ripping me off so I brought the car to Luxury (where we always go). I was quoted about $250.00 for repairs. That's a significant difference from the $1,300.00 the dealership wanted. My mom and sister also take their cars here for service. We have always been happy with their service! read more

I just had the all time best experience with a car repair specialist. Steve was the best mechanic ever. He told me what needed to be repaired and showed me every place on my vehicle that needed the repairs to back up what he said. Intuitively I felt very comfortable with him. He seems to be very trustworthy. I have made a follow up appointment and he will be my new mechanic. read more

Steve worked on my Lexus before opening Luxury Import Care when I had it serviced at the Lexus dealership.  He had just opened his business when I needed major servicing on a 2002 Lexus ES300.  I had received an extremely high estimate from the dealership.  I asked Steve to complete all of the same repairs. The work was completed and the invoice was one-third of the amount the dealership planned to charge.  I am still driving that car and I know it is because I've remained a loyal customer. Steve and Peter care about the level of service they provide.  They always answer all of my questions.  I cannot say enough good things about my experiences over the last 10 years. read more

I just had my GS 300 worked on today, and I must say they did a great job. The price was very fair, much cheaper than the dealership.

Steve and his brother have been doing an excellent job with my Lexus GS 300 and Toyota Seqouia for the last few years. I've been taking my car to them ever since they opened up shop. Honest and affordable. I recommend them highly. read more

My much loved LS was rear-ended and damaged in an accident. The frame was bent and the car should have been totaled (after 8 trips to the body shop)... but that is a whole other story. I ended up getting rid of the LS and I got an Infiniti. Luxury Import Care has been working on my Infiniti since I got it and they continue to be excellent. They are always very professional, polite and accommodating. I still recommend them to anyone who asks for a mechanic. I never have walked out feeling like I was ripped off. read more

Found out about this place through our neighbor and so glad we did. Peter and Steve take good care of their customers. They are really nice, honest guys. When I bought my older Toyota 4Runner a few months ago, I took it to them for an oil change and thorough inspection. I just went back for scheduled maintenance and a replacement mirror. They made it quick and easy, and I know I got a fair price. We won't take our cars anywhere else! read more

Great guys, very helpful, and did a great job on my Lexus at a better price. I will use them again.

I have been going to Steve for years for my car needs. He is an expert at what he does and gets it done quickly. I trust him implicitly with my car and have referred him to others. read more
