The salon is clean and spacious. Appointments are strongly encouraged, however they also accept walk-ins. Everyone leaving the salon after being styled looked amazing. I personally respect all of the rules and requirements they have listed on their site, you know what to expect and it's very clear. Everyone was friendly and I received a warm welcome. The stylist are very talented. I really like my passion twists and they still look great 1 week later. Only surprise, was the length of time for this hairstyle. I selected it because I thought it would be quick since it was twists and bra strap length. No complaints, it was still 5 style service. I don't get extensions in my hair very often but I'm thinking of returning back in late fall for a new look. Definitely recommend.

After nearly a year of watching this salon from afar and seeing it pop up on TikTok, I finally…read morewalked into Flower Atl Braids and I'm so glad I did. Growing up, I was no stranger to African braiding salons. But as I got older, the tightness and discomfort pushed me toward Black American braiders. Unfortunately, that came with its own trauma: sky-high prices, inconsistent booking, and losing an entire day in someone's chair. I was over it. I knew I needed to return to what I knew--the efficiency and reliability of African braiders. I arrived early on a Monday morning, the first client of the day. I was greeted by one of the braiders and instructed to call the owner, Flower, to confirm my style. I requested medium knotless braids, waist-length, with a custom color mix (1B/30/27). Flower quoted me $250, a fair and honest price considering the style, length, and color. Two braiders worked on me--Sophie and another braider whose name I didn't catch, but it starts with an M based on the sign-in sheet. The shop was clean and everything ran smoothly. My braiders were initially hesitant about the color mix, but once they saw it finished, they loved it and so did I. The braids ended up being a little longer than I anticipated, and the whole process took about 5.5 hours. For the length and quality, I have zero complaints. The braids are neat, the parts are clean, and most importantly, I left without feeling like my scalp was on fire. Tight? A little, but nothing unbearable. Painful? No. I'll definitely be back again. My only issue was with the handling of the braiding hair. At times, the hair would fall to the floor and if it was picked up quickly, I understood. But sometimes it lingered, was stepped on, and still used. I did refuse some hair that had been stepped on, but I don't believe it was thrown out. That's something I'd encourage others to be mindful of. Make sure the hair being installed in your head is being cared for properly. If you're looking for a clean, efficient, no-nonsense braiding experience that gives what it's supposed to give, Flower Atl Braids is your spot.

I called the shop and apparently I was speaking to Flower but didn't know until reading other reviews on Google. I called around 8:50pm asking about getting my hair braided. I sent pictures and was told prices for both pictures Flower stated that my hair could be braided tomorrow morning I explained to her that I had to work tomorrow and didn't want to be late for work she stated I could come tonight and I asked what time she said 9:30pm. I called her on the way cause it stated cash only on Instagram but I found this shop on Google. I stopped at the ATM machine on the way there . I got there and the lady asked what did I want and I said a braided ponytail and she said that would take to long and she couldn't do it tonight I showed her the other style and she said my edges were not thick enough although they were a few weeks ago when I had Goddess braids plus I leave my edges out. I was very upset and called Flower the owner and she took on accountability for her actions. She tried to pretend like she tried to call when we just talked ten minutes or less before arriving to the shop when I called on her BS instead of apologizing or trying to make things right I got more excuses. Flower stated that I don't understand the lady that was there was tired and she was trying to accommodate me by saying that I could get my hair done tonight. I just did 8 hours and I was tired to but since Flower stated my hair could be done tonight I came tired and all. Flower the owner is a liar and very unprofessional and took on accountability for her actions! If this is your shop you should have called to make sure someone could do my hair prior to saying yes. I am percent positive that this yes to doing my hair was only motivated by money and not really caring about your employee because again you could have called her. This is horrible customer service and you didn't even attempt to call me to let me know things changed or even mentioned it to me when I spoke to a few minutes before arriving! This never happened I understand when someone is tired cause I was tired but what I don't understand is the unprofessionalism and the lies and excuses therefore I hope you karma comes for you swiftly!

She is very friendly and nice to talk to but I need my hair to match what I paid for and it doesn't. If you ask for a pic, that to me indicates you can look at the pic and reproduce the style. Lastly, within days my hair had the frizzies and it is because she did not put gel on the hair as she has done in the past. I believe that will be my last time going there. For my last visit I give 2 stars because after all the money I paid my hair needs to be redone after just a few days.

He said to grow it out another month and scheduled the perm. She was so excited and he assured her he could achieve what she wanted. Unfortunately, that clearly did not happen. She left and called me in tears too embarrassed to say anything and out $340 for nothing more than a traumatic salon experience. There are no curls whatsoever. The rods used were way too big for her short hair. This is essentially a root lift. Not what she asked for. The cut is shorter and choppier than what she wanted in the back. The rods were all over the place and not in line, causing her hair part to be jagged considering there are no curls to cover it. I called the store and asked to speak with the owner. I keep getting the run around and more excuses I'm not buying. This is unacceptable at any reputable salon which means this clearly isn't one. After several run around calls with the front office coordinator, Cartez graciously offered to fix her hair, but how can we trust him when he couldn't do it the first time and has so many other terrible reviews naming him between here and google. I keep being told Tiffany will call me. That was Thursday. Now it won't be until Tuesday. If I don't hear anything by Tuesday I am coming in person to be dealt with. I'm not being ignored or gaslit. This is wrong, unethical and fucked up to charge someone such an astronomical amount for something they did not ask for and then gaslight them into thinking they know what they are doing. Cartez shamed her for going to a barber shop, rushed because his next client came in, and really took advantage of the pink tax by charging her 88 dollars for a women's cut, while by the looks of other comments a mens is somewhere around 40. Like I said I'm not buying the excuses being told via the middleman, and I don't care to be a Karen when it is warranted. If this isn't resolved I will literally not stop shitting about it online. Tiffany, call me please.

This is a quick weave spot and by quick I mean bring your hair, they sew and you're out the door, no consultation or real "hair care" intentions. Like a fast food version of a hair salon. The shop itself is adorable and in a stellar location. All of the stylists are extremely friendly and the shop was very clean. My only qualm is they're just not necessarily knowledgeable about different hair textures and hair care underneath the bundles. Again to be fair the hair I brought in was trash (basic outre, natural curl 1 solution pak $140 for 6 bundles)... I just wish they would've advised me it wouldn't work i/o collecting a quick coin for a trash install ($170 w/ tip). After waiting almost 2hrs my assigned stylist felt comfortable enough to take lunch (which I did not object to) and multiple phone calls during my session (which irked me) but didn't see fit to speak up along the way of the install. I cautioned that I did not want more than 2 packs single wefted, she proceeded to put almost 4!!! My leave out was abysmal and nothing I could realistically maintain given I am natural. My hair is also very thin around the edges. I left the shop with fairly high hopes (Saturday) but by the next morning my scalp was on fire itching and the braids were way too tight. Fast forward another 24hrs (Monday) and I'm in the first open salon chair getting the weave uninstalled (9am). Clearly I'm 90% at fault so this review is more of a warning if you are not familiar with sew-ins and managing leave-out and have high customer service expectations plan to spend more money somewhere else. I knew I had been all the way played when they were packing their bags to close before I even swiped my credit card and didn't even bother suggesting a follow-up wash / re-tighten, to leave a review, take a pic ect. I think we all knew it was awful and just wanted to be polite. I feel suckered out of the $170. Lesson learned.
