Super friendly and efficient check-in process, felt like the red carpet was rolled out for us. A check engine light had us worried we would miss out on our weekend plans but our service advisor Justin offered us a loaner vehicle without our even asking. We were told to not worry about tolls, they too would be taken care of. On return, I pulled into the service garage and by the time I walked inside, Justin was standing in the hall, welcomed me by name, shook my hand, handed me my paperwork (still warm from the printer), then wished me a nice week. Less than 5 minutes and I was on my way. Other dealerships should be worried, Sewell is not even in your league... I will be back when it's time for a new vehicle.

They had plenty of appointment options available and you can either choose to drop off your vehicle or to stay and wait. They have a nice waiting room with plenty of comfortable chairs and a large screen TV. Their bathrooms are very clean. They also have tea, coffees, water & snacks available while you wait. It was about a 90 minute wait for me. Then they texted me a video of my car inspection with what they found, what was done and what is recommended. They don't do more than what you approve. They even offer a complimentary carwash! We bought our Mazda here in 2020 and bring it here for repairs and maintenance. I trust the advisors and mechanics here.

They wanted statements showing the deposits!! They were on the computer with me and it was official sites I got my papers from. I'm a veteran and they refused to believe I get the money I get. Made me feel like I was doing something criminal!! Wasted my time for 2 1/2 hours but nothing I gave them was good enough.

We weren't told what the issue was or what the time line would be and a rude sales person after 3 weeks of calling for updates told us it could be months before it was resolved. We escalated and finally were put in touch with a sales manager who said we would have an answer by Tuesday but after calling 3 more times we were told they sold the car out from under us to a different location after waiting for a full month. We tried to discuss getting a similar make and model from a different store but they expect us to pay 2/3s of the shipping on top of everything else. Extremely unprofessional. This would have been our 3rd time buying from Carmax but instead we will never consider them an option again and will be letting anyone know to avoid Carmax at all cost.

In typical form of car sales, he immediately wanted me to come in to "take a test drive". I explained that I live out of town (about 3 hours away) and I can't simply stop by. I didn't get a response. I wrote again to say that I was however still interested in the car only to discover he had blocked me! This tells you something about the dealership when one of thier own managers block a potential customer because he wasn't able to get me in the door to hard sale me the car. So I go to the website and try the chat method. I explained exactly what happened and that I would like to report his behavior. Her response..."would you like to come in today?" Yea so apparently all they are concerned about is trapping you in the dealership so they can pressure you into buying. I if they can't they want nothing to do with you. If a person is shopping online..chances are high the person lives out of town. So this is what you get going to a dealership in a major city versus a smaller dealership in a small town. Poor customer service.

DeMontrond got a little mixed up when the associate that I originally worked with took another job, and they performed a pressurized test on my radiator, damaging the radiator and costing me around $2K to get it replaced. The service manager, Michael Campbell, had the nerve to tell me that my radiator must have been damaged just prior to their service, and their unauthorized work (which he admitted too), was all just a big coincidence. I am currently having to take these guys to small claims court to recoup my damages. If you have any reservations about dealing with this company, trust your instincts as they do unauthorized work, admit it's their fault, then in turn claim that the damage happened en route to DeMontrond.
