Avoid this place at all costs. I bought a 2020 Audi PHEV about three years ago. The check engine light hit about an hour after taking it off the lot. I called to return it and the owner said to take it to Audi as it still was under the full warranty. It sat on the lot for nearly two years waiting on parts - finally having the entire electrical system replaced. I drove it for about a year then a couple of months ago it wouldn't start. I called Luxury Auto Plex and the owner told me he would pay any deductibles on my "fully refundable" extended warranty, so take it into the dealership. The repair was declined so I paid for it out of pocket. Last week it started making strange noises and I had enough so I lost about 6k and traded it in. As for the fully refundable GMC warranty? It's not cancellable or refundable upon selling the car - the only way to cancel it was to default on the loan or total the car. They told me to call the dealership, lol. Stay away from Luxury Auto Plex and DO NOT FALL for the GMC Extended Warranty. Not worth the paper it's printed on and you will not get any refunds. read more

Probably one of the worst car buying experiences I've had. They sold me a Mercedes that was incomplete for a complete car price. there was an issue with the transmission so they tried to fix it. They couldn't fix it so they took the Mercedes. They had the car for almost a month and I was driving a loaner well, I didn't find out until after that the suspension had been re-worked and there was no luxury suspension underneath the vehicle. It was lowering springs which is fine but the entire front suspension had to be replaced. Luckily, I purchased an extended warranty (still haven't received that contract)and when I turned the claim in, they said the car was only worth $2000., I purchased the car for $17,000 on top of that it took them almost 8 months to get my license plate to me which I ordered the Bee conservation plates. I received ordinary plates. I would have gone to a more reputable place had I done the research. I do recommend taking any car you're interested into an actual mechanic to have them look it over before you buy it. Don't get screwed like I did. read more

Friends, please be cautious when dealing with Luxury Auto Plex. I understand there are many questionable dealerships out there, but this one truly crossed the line. They took advantage of me during a time of mourning--just one day before my uncle's funeral. They assured me that the vehicle I initially applied for would be no problem. After running my credit, they suddenly claimed I needed $5,000 down for that car--but said they could get me into another car the same day for $500 down. Feeling desperate and needing transportation to help with funeral arrangements, I agreed. That's when everything went wrong. The car had multiple issues right away. They promised to fix them but never did. I ended up covering the repairs myself after the General Manager, Tracy, stated they wouldn't take any responsibility. What's worse, I never even visited their lot. They brought the car to my house and pressured me into signing paperwork on the spot--including a form stating I couldn't return the vehicle. I later discovered that, under Oregon law, there is no general three-day right to cancel a car purchase. However, certain protections exist for sales conducted away from the seller's place of business, such as home solicitation sales. In such cases, buyers may have the right to cancel within three days, provided specific conditions are met . It's now been over seven months. I've spent thousands out of pocket--despite being sold multiple "worry-free" warranties that were supposed to cover everything with a $100 deductible. The only assistance I've received was partial coverage for an airbag repair at BMW in Palm Springs. This entire experience has been emotionally and financially draining. This has been the worst car buying experience in my life. The dealership made a mistake on the financing check endorsement so I had to drive an hour one way to a bank and get a new check generated while on vacation. The car was supposed to have no issues but the rear sunroof shade is stuck. There is also some minor damage to the interior they neglected to disclose. I was told no issues. They told me after the car was shipped it had only one key. A replacement is $400. They gave me a temporary tag through the 20th of the month. I followed up a week ago and was told everything would be done in time, only to get an email on the 17th that it would not be done. Disorganized and unprofessional. Not entirely terrible but not super great either. If you buy a car from them expect to have to fix things. Bought a car from them back in April and I'm already having to replace stuff because they used cheap parts for repairs. I was in a situation where I needed a car and did not have a lot of time to find one so I took their word that everything was fixed and that's my mistake for believing them. Car is great but they gave me a breakdown of the maintenance and repairs done to it and it says the bushings were replaced in March of this year along with some other things. I ended up taking the car to a shop a couple months after I bought it because there was an awful rattling noise coming from the suspension. Turns out they used extremely cheap crappy quality bushings and not even a year into them being on the car they are already needing replaced. I also asked them to fix the brakes before I bought the car and to replace the windshield wipers (wipers aren't a huge deal) they told me these had both been done and since I was short on time I trusted their word and purchased the vehicle only to find out they did not put new brakes on the car like they said they did and I had to go buy new wipers the day I bought it. It's not the end of the world, and things happen, can't expect much when buying a used car from a wannabe luxury dealer ship, but don't expect them to tell you the truth about things. When I originally pointed out issues I noticed, they claimed they needed to make money off the car. It is what it is and I'm happy with the car, just wish I didn't have to deal with replacing parts not even a year into ownership. read more

I was looking for my perfect Toyota Tundra and came across Luxury Auto Plex. The most amazing, kind man by the name Sean took my call, he went over every detail of the truck I had fallen in love with. Being in Hawaii, I was not able to just run over for a test drive and to see the truck. Sean made me video after video even with his kind voice being recorded in real time going step by step of the truck. There were many others inquiring about the truck as it had just been posted on their website. When I told Sean I wanted it and knowing the money and shipping processes, I was worried that someone may walk onto the lot and purchase before I was able to get my finances in order etc. Sean literally did everything possible to make sure I would have that beauty in my driveway over in Hawaii. When trying to buy a vehicle off island sometimes it can be rather difficult especially when you are up against local buyers. I have had a few vehicles shipped over and I must say, Sean made this experience one of my best memories. The time he took daily over a few weeks with me was by far absolute superior service. Well, they didn't like the review I posted about deceptive photos on their website and poor customer service received as a potential serious buyer so they had it taken down. Significant wear/damage was identified on the vehicle by an independent inspector. The dealership claims "that's all normal for a used car". In my search for vehicles I've seen older vehicles than the one I was looking at in better shape. This convertible had a severely damaged top by an inexperienced powerwasher. I'm told "what do you expect for a $12000 car". Come on guys, take a little pride in what you sell. Be the passionate car guys you say you are on your website. Only buy from them if you plan on getting an Allstate Service Insurance too. So far, in the five months we have owned the car, we have had to replace the engine (yes, the entire engine!) and all the bushings and arms. It's only cost me $200 ( plus the Allstate policy of $2700). Better than the $7k that Allstate had to pay! It might even be more before the warranty period ends. We paid these schysters $16k for the car. A car they had advertised as leather but is really pleather. I couldn't tell the difference at the dealership because they had greased the bejeezus out of the seats, so much so that I literally slid during the test drive! It took me 2 hours to clean all the grease off. The pleather is already cracking on the driver's seat. A pleather car is not worth as much as a leather car! Nor is it very "luxury." I took a screenshot of their craigslist ad where it read, "leather." Take a rag with you so you can clean off the grease and actually feel if it's leather or pleather. The had also sprayed blackening on the charcoal-colored carpet in lieu of shampooing it. It got on the charcoal-colored trim and cannot be scrubbed off. The black spray didn't wash out of the carpet, so it just looks blotchy. Take a flash light with you. They sprayed the tire wells black too, IDK why... Also, the cabin air filter was nasty filthy, like it had never been changed ever. They could have changed out the filter instead of spraying air freshener all over. I bought a new filter for $20 on Amazon and it smells like a new Subaru now. They were nice enough and worked with our bad credit. Immediately afterwards, the salesman asked me repeatedly to leave a review. You know, hurry BEFORE the engine goes! Glad I decided to wait. They didn't let me keep the carfax, even though they said I could - it just disappeared. Also, they recently moved lots, so I wonder if there are more bad reviews at the old address..? TAKE HOME MESSAGE: for us, with our bad credit and desiring a specific, rare car that they had in stock, it was fine. But we would have been screwed if it weren't for the service insurance. I bought a 2003 GMC truck from Luxury Auto Plex four months ago, had it delivered, price was fair, salesman helpful, providing a video. I bought it through TrueCar auto referral service through USAA. I made the mistake of trusting that USAA had pre-qualified the dealerships as a quality dealership via TrueCar referral service. As a result i did not hire a third party/my own mechanic to preview the vehicle. Last week i took the truck to my mechanic due to the lifters ticking. My mechanic took pictures of the mess under the hood, which was hidden by the pretty outer casing of the motor housing. When he tore it down, they found excessive amounts of sludge and on the drivers side head there was water in the oil and in the valve cover itself. They removed the intake manifold and found layers of sludge buildup. Removed the rocker arms and found ten of the push rods were plugged with sludge. To remove the push rods, he had to use a wrench. He also stated that any mechanic would have seen the problem of sludge buildup by glancing into the oil reservoir with a flashlight. The mechanic advised me that due to the condition of the internal components it would be more costly in labor and the repair would be uncertain due to the heavy buildup -and- because of the head gasket leak on drivers side head. I did not hire my own mechanic to preview the vehicle's motor due to my trust with USAA's choosing them as a dealership to buy the truck; the vehicle had no warranty and i was never offered one that i remember, they never sent me copies of the papers i signed with them, as they promised that they would. But i had no intention of buying a warranty from them because i trusted that they are professionals and inspect their vehicles with the buyer's interest in mind. After this bad experience with this dealership relying on my trust, i filed a complaint with TrueCar and with USAA. I also intend on filing with the Federal Trade Commission because after having the vehicle for only four months, and having heard the salesman tell me their mechanic inspects their vehicles and cares for the customers, this tells me they knowingly sold me a truck with a bad engine. read more

It didn't take long to fall "in love" with one of their Mercedes C-300's for sale (couldn't find a better deal online!). When I arrived the car was ready for a test drive; they even let me drive the car home to show the wife before making a final decision! I traded in my Lexus (got a very fair price) and began the paperwork process. In-out within the hour. The online price was the lowest they would go, and it was a very fair price. The sales guy Zack wasn't pushy and Chris the finance/manager was super quick with finding financing the day of and when we had a small dent with the car he was helpful with getting it remedied - he's solution oriented and that goes so far in making us happy customers. I had a very poor experience with this dealership. I was intent on purchasing an fj cruiser from them and they were to deliver it to Spokane WA from Portland. I was ensured by their associate Carlos that the tires were 70% tread and were good to go and the vehicle was in good shape. I put $500 dollars down over the phone to reserve the vehicle but upon arrival the car was in poorer shape than they had told me. It had a crack in the windshield, a large missing piece of trim from above the windshield (I was told it was stolen the night before), mismatched tires with minimal tread (they needed to be replaced), and no oil on the dipstick. I had originally agreed on $24,000 for the vehicle but asked for $1,000 off in order to buy tires which are pricey for this vehicle. They said they would fix the trim and the windshield but would not knock off the $1000 for the tires and I decided to take a risk on the oil. They took the vehicle back to Portland and refuse to refund my money back. The money was not a delivery fee as I was told it could be refunded, once again, by their associate Carlos. I would even settle for $250 back to help them with the cost at this point. I understand their frustration but delivering a vehicle in sub-par condition and expecting me to pay $24,000 is unreasonable. Be very cautious with dealing with these people and this company. That white fj cruiser is still for sale three months later. Obviously that shows there are issues here. read more

I purchased a Subaru Outback from this dealership and was verbally guaranteed that if something major happened to the car on my drive back to Washington, that they would totally take care of it for me.....NOT. I only got as far as Portland when I noticed this unusual sound from the engine. I went to the Subaru dealership in Portland and the service department kept it until they were able to establish that the timing chains in the engine needed to be replaced ($2000). The dealership wanted me to take the vehicle to "their" mechanics to have it done cheaply. They would not take the car back - even though I had only driven the vehicle 30 miles. So much for taking care of me. In the end they only paid part of the repair and I had to fork out the rest of it. WILL NEVER, EVER GO THERE AGAIN. read more

PSA update. I still do not have use of my car. I brought my car to 2 different shops and both confirmed the transmission was bad. The one that ended up doing the repairs said from the damage the transmission had been bad for some time. I am still paying for the transmission repair. Once it is paid off, then I will need to get new tires because I was told by 3 shops they were too dangerous to drive on. I was told they were so bad they were surprised I didn't have a blowout. Now I can understand perhaps the dealer was unaware of the transmission issue but you cannot convince me they didn't know about the tires. The brakes are also so worn down they will need replacement. My PSA to you all is to make sure that you have the car you are interested in checked out by a reputable shop prior to purchase. I allowed my stress of not having a car during covid to cloud my judgement and jump at the purchase too soon. I trusted what I was told about the car being checked out prior to being put on sale. So either they were lying about the car being checked or they just didn't care and was happy to sell it to the first sucker to make an offer. read more

My husband and I recently bought a Volvo from this dealership. Two and a half weeks after our purchase the check engine and transmission service lights came on. They refused to have the car fixed for us and now we have to spend thousand of dollars on a car we JUST bought. They supposedly have mechanics that ensure that their cars are in good working shape before they sell them, but apparently that just means clearing the electrical codes. I was going to buy a Range Rover from this dealership, However I live 4.5 hours away from Portland. The vehicle that I was interested in was advertised with 92k kilometers, for 18k. I spoke with the sales man and the finance rep from luxury auto plex, to confirm that the vehicle did indeed have kilometers on the odometer and not miles. I did this confirmation with one or the other gentlemen at this dealership 3 times before I felt confident enough to make the drive to Portland from my home. I worked out a price to purchase the vehicle sight unseen other than pictures posted on the site. The sales man suggested that I give him a deposit for the vehicle as it would probably not be there when I arrived as it was a great deal and when I arrived to purchase the vehicle they would apply it to the purchase and if I did not purchase the vehicle he assured me that it would be returned. When I arrived the first thing I did was walk to the vehicle to make sure that the odometer was in kilometers and not miles as this is a 30k miles difference (94k kilometers = 57k miles) the vehicle had 94k miles on it. I shared my gripe with the sales rep and I left, not thinking that they woikd be anything but honest and a huge waste of my time and now stuck in Portland I had to rent a hotel and try and find another Range Rover with lower miles on it. After spending all weekend in Portland I found a vehicle, when I checked my statement and saw that the dealership had not given me the money back as they said they would, really who woukd leave a non refundable deposit on anything unless you were positive that you were not going to lose it. I called the dealership and began talking to the salesmen about the money that they owed me, he immediately stated that it was a non-refundable deposit and he literally hung up on me, I called back three times and was treated like crap with more hang ups. I had to call my credit card company's to have the issue resolved and it has finally been taken care of. Bought a BMW 3X in November. Car smelled like mold. I was told smell would go away when the floor mats dried, STILL SMELLS!!!! 2 weeks after purchase check engine light came on. I have replaced direct ignition coil, 6 splugs, tires (flat tire and no spare!!!) just fixed leak in radiator and now was told there is an oil leak!!!!! Gordon Baze and his crew sold me a 2005 Range Rover with 115k miles on it, claimed the car to have no mechanical issues and offered a warranty (which I took up real quick) with "complete coverage" if anything were to fail...well not even two months later, the transmission (1st and 2nd gear precisely) had completely failed. The warranty they sold me which allegedly offered complete coverage was revealed to have a $3000 cap. The transmission replacement is going to cost $7000, so that is $4000 out of pocket. The mechanic said that for a transmission to have that catastrophic of a failure, there must have been a preexisting condition; there was no way that two months of driving caused damage like this one had. The problem is that the car has a warning on the gauge cluster called "Trans. Failsafe prog." which came in and out intermittently the day the transmission finally went and the drive to the shop. This light is supposed to come on well before the transmission reaches this condition, but it had not because it was likely disabled before sale of the car. The check engine light also came on for the catalytic converter, so that is another $1600. I have contacted a lawyer to pursue a Theft by Deception case against Luxury Auto Plex. I would steer clear of this place. I did not listen to the negative yelp reviews as I should have. This place is bad business. read more
